Chapter 47
I CHANGED THE TITLE NO ONE PANIC ITLL MAKE SENSE ONCE I RELEASE THE SEQUEL I PROMISE!
Everyone was gathered in the garage later that night, my new and old friends. We were supposed to be talking strategies or something like that. I had to tell them everything, the texts, the threats, calling the cops, and finally the break in.
"That means Midoriya is the best bait to use," Todoroki said into the silence that followed my retelling.
He was sat on top of Sero's amp, while the resident stoner was criss crossed on the floor a few feet in front of the couch with Kaminari next to him. Shinsou was sitting a healthy foot away from them. Ashido and Uraraka were cuddling at one end of the couch, while Katsuki and Eijirou sat at the other, me sitting across both of their laps.
"He's not wrong," Shinsou reluctantly agreed, running a hand through his hair.
I relaxed a little more into Eijirou's chest. "Oh, thank god," I said with relief, happy to be the one whose life was at risk, instead of theirs.
"Shut up," Katsuki snapped, but I couldn't tell which one of us he'd been talking to. "We're not using him as bait." He said it with an air of finality, implying that it wasn't up for debate.
Shinsou scowled at him. "I don't like it either, but think about it-"
Eijirou was quick to cut him off, as expected. "I'd rather not, thanks."
The purpled haired teen didn't give a fuck, continuing on. "Think about it. Shigaraki doesn't know that Dabi wants him dead now. All Izuku has to do is send him a text, saying to meet at Dabi's club to talk about him joining up. We ambush him there, kill the motherfucker, and let Dabi handle the clean up."
I stayed quiet, waiting to see how it all played out.
Uraraka raised her hand and pointed at him. "I know we're mad at him right now, but my boy has a point!"
"I second that," Ashido said a little sheepishly.
"Third!" Kaminari shouted, speaking for the first time since arriving. He was apparently awkward in heavy matters.
"Except," Eijirou cut in. His teeth were clench and he seemed seconds away from snapping. "For the fact that Shigaraki won't believe Iz just randomly decided to take his side."
Shinsou shrugged off the concern, apparently already having a solution. "Izuku's a good actor. We fake some drama, fake a mental breakdown, and then schedule the meeting. It'll take a week, max, to convince him."
Katsuki leveled him with a glare. "He's not fucking doing it."
Shinsou tilted his head, his eyes flashing to mine. "How about we let him decide?"
Everyone in the room turned to me. My face started to heat up from the sudden attention, but I willed my blush to stay away. I looked between my two boyfriends, both wore expressions that pleaded for me to say no.
"I'm doing it," I said resolutely.
Eijirou immediately shook his head. "No fucking way."
"I love you guys," I said, grabbing each of their hands while I spoke. "I love that you want to do this for me, but it's my mess. This is something I have to deal with, not you two."
"We're not gonna let you do this," Katsuki replied firmly. There was a hard set to his jaw, his crimson eyes blazing with anger.
Shinsou heaved a tired sigh from the other side of the circle. "Then you three fight and the drama becomes real. Not solving much there."
"Do you ever shut the fuck up?" Eijirou asked in annoyance, barely sparing him a glance.
"Nah, that'd be too easy," the purpled haired teen said, waving him off.
"Either way," Uraraka chimed in, getting us back on topic. "He's going to do it. You either get to be whiny bitches about it and start a real fight that will probably destroy your relationship, or you get to accept it and help him. Up to you guys," she finished with a shrug, inspecting her nails as she did so.
Both boys looked at me expectantly. I nodded my head towards the brunette. "What she said."
Katsuki glanced around the room, waiting for anyone to object. When no one did, he groaned and turned to Eijirou. "We're outnumbered."
The redhead turned his scalding glare on him. "So, you're okay with this?" he raged.
"Obviously fucking not," the blond replied, just as heated. "But I'm not willing to lose him over it."
That shut Eijirou up. Leave it to Katsuki to successfully wrangle him. I thought that was my job?
"We all agree then, delightful," Shinsou said with a sarcastic roll of his eyes. "Now you three just need to have a huge fight and we're on our way."
"About what though?" I asked, squeezing Eijirou's hand a little tighter. I knew he was beyond pissed off, but I was trying to lessen the anger.
Sero scoffed from his spot on the floor. "Weed?" he offered like it was obvious.
Kaminari tilted his head in confusion. "Why would they-" he cut himself off with a gasp as he looked at me with accusation. "Midoriya! You've been smoking?" He had the audacity to wiggle his eyebrows at me.
I rolled my eyes at his antics. "You try dealing with Shigaraki sober."
"That's a problem, why?" Shinsou asked me specifically.
"Have you forgotten my track record with drugs?" I deadpanned in response.
He eyed my boyfriends oddly. "It's just weed."
"That's what I'm saying!" Sero cried from next to him.
Katsuki crossed his arms, his face perfectly blank. "We don't give a fuck about the weed, it's the fact he hid it from us."
Sero grimaced at the answer. "That's tough."
"It's supposed to be a fake fight," I grumbled, sinking further into the couch arm behind me. "Pick something else."
"You could do the cheating thing again," Uraraka pointed out casually. I'm pretty sure the only reason she even dared to suggest it was because Ashido was sitting between her and Katsuki, acting as a human shield.
"No fucking way."
"Not happening."
Neither of my boyfriends seemed thrilled about that idea, Eijirou's arm wrapping around my thighs, pulling me closer to him.
"Hey," she said, holding her hands up in surrender. "He said he wanted a fake fight, I was just pointing out the obvious one."
"It would work," Shinsou affirmed in an indifferent tone of voice. He was playing a dangerous game and gambling with his life at that point. He didn't seem to mind the risk. With a smirk, he dropped the act. "Doesn't have to be me, if you guys are too threatened by that."
Eijirou's grip got impossibly tighter around me. "I will snap your fucking neck with my bare hands-"
"Ei," I said in warning. I released a groan, sitting up a little straight as I addressed Shinsou first. "You need to stop picking fights," I turned to the blond and redhead, "and you two need to stop falling for it. I'm sick of the constant fighting and we're never going to accomplish anything if it keeps up." A huff escaped me as I forcefully sat back. "Do you want Shigaraki dead, or not?"
"Let's put it to a vote, then," Ashido suggested. "We rule in favor of the majority, the minority shuts up and deals with it. Sound fair?" She looked around at each of us expectantly, letting her gaze rest on Eijirou and Katsuki until they both verbally agreed.
"All in favor of Midoriya faking another cheating scandal with Shinsou." Her hand was the first up, followed by Shinsou, Uraraka, Todoroki, and a hesitant Sero.
Kaminari crossed his arms at the sight of his black haired friend's hand. "Easy for you to say, you're not the one who got their face bashed in the last time."
Sero held both hands in front of him. "Hey, I didn't even say anything!"
Katsuki glowered at him. "You're dead to me."
"Seeing as I've been supplying your boyfriend weed for weeks, I already figured that," Sero grumbled to himself, but I don't think any of us missed it.
"And we have a majority!" Ashido proclaimed, clapping her hands together. "When do we stage it?"
"Right now," Katsuki stated. He nodded his head to the door. "Get the fuck out."
"Wait!" Sero called out, drawing every eye in the room to him. "Pause for a second, I've got something to announce."
"Well, get on with it then," Ashido said, signaling with her hand for him to hurry.
"Oh," Sero blinked. "Um, Todoroki and I exchanged numbers after the club last time and we've been talking. We're kind of dating now. Just thought you should all now." He turned to Katsuki, giving him a nod. "Okay, you can break up now."
Once my brain caught up, I shouted, "He's your mystery man?"
"You had a mystery man?" Ashido yelled next.
"Sh," Sero shushed, waving us both off. "They're supposed to be breaking up." He waved his hand at my boyfriends and I, urging us to continue.
"Just get the fuck out of our house," Katsuki restated, considerably more tired now. I didn't blame him, a lot was happening in a short amount of time.
"Hey," I called to Eijirou and Katsuki while the rest of my friends exploded into questions for Sero and Todoroki. They both looked so worn and beaten down, it made my chest hurt. "I didn't vote for this."
Eijirou took a deep breath, steadying himself. "We know, darlin'."
"We're gonna be pissed either way," Katsuki griped, but at least didn't seem upset with me.
I nodded in understanding, they reserved that right. I couldn't really fault them for it. "I love you guys," I whispered.
"We love you, too," Eijirou said with a soft smile, the most he could muster at that moment.
"Come here," Katsuki said with a sigh, pulling me to his lap. I was straddling him as he pulled me into a tight hug. "I'm one window sill away, always." His voice was soft, just loud enough for me to hear.
I nodded against his shoulder, before leaning back. I was instantly pulled into a fierce kiss by the blond. It expressed every emotion he could find words for, the pain and betrayal, the love and longing, all of it. I came away panting, just to get pulled into another kiss by Eijirou, just as intense as Katsuki's. Words weren't enough in the moment, but the kisses meant everything.
When I was released, I took the chance to calm my racing heart to no avail. "I think you guys have to kick me out now," I breathed.
Eijirou shook his head, not letting me up. "I hate this."
"I hate it too," I conceded. "But it's just for a week, tops, remember? Then we get to have a normal senior year together." It was a lot to promise when dealing with a psychotic school bomber, but we all needed to believe it right then and there.
"I'm holding you to that, Deku," Katsuki said, his grip on me going lax.
I kissed them each on the cheek one last time, before climbing to my feet. I glanced at my three friends from back home and said, "C'mon."
"Oh, we're all going," Todoroki stated, pushing himself off the amp.
Uraraka's eyes went a little wide, like she hadn't been expecting it. Even so, she pecked Ashido's cheek and stood. "I'll text you, okay?" she asked the pink haired girl, who eagerly nodded.
Shinsou was the last to stand, stretching his arms up over his head dramatically. When he brought them down, one slipped over my shoulder, causing me to roll my eyes. He never stopped. He smirked at me, despite my frown. "Let's go, then."
"Ei and Kats killing you would make the cheating scandal more believable, watch yourself," I hissed at him, moving towards the door not caring if he was following or not.
Unfortunately, he didn't miss a beat and his arm stayed securely on me. "Can't, remember? I'm an amazing shot," was his smug response.
I walked out the garage door, heading for my own house, my friends trailing me. "If I'm ten feet from him, perfect aim isn't important. I'll hit something vital if I unload the clip," I stated matter-of-factly.
He tightened his hold, pulling me impossibly closer to him. In a lowered voice, right next to my ear, he whispered, "Don't pull away, I've got twenty bucks on the fact he's watching right now."
I shivered, from his breath on my ear or the thought of Shigaraki watching us, I wasn't sure. "I hate that you're probably right," I muttered, wrapping my arm around his waist to really sell it.
From the way his body went tense, I doubt he expected it. I lowered my voice so only he could hear, "If you cross the line, I'll snap your neck myself."
He actually laughed at my words. "I'm looking forward to it."
