Chapter 27

Later that night, I found myself once again back at the club. To no one's surprise, Uraraka and Himiko had made up instantly and were now a few shots deep, giggling at the bar. Of course, my best friend had betrayed me the second the two girls were friends again, spilling the secret of my boyfriend. One of them at least.

"I miss having Toga around to distract her," Shinsou said mournfully, taking a swig of his beer. I hadn't given him shit for his drink choice a year ago and he'd said it was the same thing as drinking black coffee, he didn't drink it for the taste.

I bumped him with my elbow, scolding him lightly. "Don't be mean to our friend."

"She's a lot, you cannot disagree with that!" He defended.

I laughed, having already taken a shot or two. "You've got me there," I said, pointing my empty shot glass at him.

"Oh, Dabi!" Toga called in a sweet voice, catching the eye of the bartender. "Fifteen shots, please!" She slammed a hand onto the bar with the request.

"Jesus fuck, you're gonna drink me out of business," Dabi scoffed at her, his hands braced against the bar.

"Keep the change," Todoroki said, holding a few bills out to him. "Ya know what? Just take the card and start a tab. Keep it on file if you want."

Dabi hesitantly snatched the cash and card away, looking at the card carefully. "Dad's?" He raised an eyebrow in question.

"Hell yeah."

Dabi laughed at his younger brother, shaking his head as he went to go pour our shots. I hadn't wanted Ashido to say anything about my friends coming with me, because I wanted to surprise the bar owner. Dabi wasn't much of a 'keep-in-contact' brother, disappearing for weeks or months at a time without much of a word. I had a feeling he hadn't talked to his brother since he left.

I was officially drunk after those three shots and my friends were no better off than me. Uraraka had already slipped off her chair once, thankfully catching herself before her face hit the ground, while Himiko was sobbing from laughing so hard. Even Todoroki was laughing at the girl. Shinsou had a hand on my shoulder, stopping me from falling forward while I tried to catch my breath.

"You guys waste no time, do you?" Dabi asked us with a chuckle, handing a different customer their drink.

Uraraka wrapped an arm around Himiko's neck, hugging her tightly. "I just missed her and Izuku so much." Her speech was slurred, but we were still able to understand what she had said.

"I can see that," the older man said with an amused smile at the two girls.

"Oh! Dabi, I have a question for you!" I called, leaning over the bar to the point where Uraraka had to pull back a little before I fell right over it.

The dark-haired man crossed his arms and looked like he was a disappointed teacher. "Hop my bar and I'll kick your ass out."

"Did you know Eijirou has an accent?" I completely disregarded the threat. I hadn't wanted to the hop bar, it was an accident.

"No?" His response was more of a question. "He has an accent?"

I nodded vigorously. "It's southern, he's from the south apparently. I just found out today."

"Don't think he cares, Mido," Shinsou said with a chuckle, pushing me back onto my stool and off of the bar.

"I was just wondering if he knew, seeing as everyone else did," I said with a frown, crossing my arms over my chest. I was a little snubbed that he hadn't told me about it earlier, I mean, I was dating the guy.

I watched as Shinsou sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "You're so lucky I'm drunk right now," he told me, dropping his hand. "He said he was bullied for the accent, right? He was probably really insecure about it, so you can't blame him for not telling you. You don't go around screaming about your belly button piercing," he finished with a huff, looking wildly uncomfortable, taking a decent sized swig of his drink.

I grumbled, going to argue with him again, but he stopped me before I could even open my mouth. "Izuku Midoriya," he snapped. "I am one of your best friends and your ex-boyfriend. Please stop making me defend your current boyfriend to you while you're drunk."

"Oh, wow. I didn't even... wow," I blinked a few times. I was pretty stupid when I drank. "Sorry 'bout that."

Shinsou chuckled at my response, it clearly hadn't ruined his buzz. "It's fine, don't worry about it. I'll talk shit about him when I'm sober again."

I scrunched up my face like I was in physical pain. "Don't do that," I whined at him.

He just shrugged at my reaction, laughing lightly. "You didn't think I'd give up that easily, right? I've been in love with you for, like, two years."

Even drunk, we both froze at the confession. "What?" I exclaimed. It was news to me. I genuinely thought we were just screwing around and he was in love with me the whole time?

"Shouldn't have said that out loud," Shinsou admitted, tipping his glass at me like it was a toast before downing the last half of it. He slammed his empty glass on the counter once he was finished, catching his breath. "You should take another shot, I'd appreciate if you didn't remember that in the morning."

I stared at him blankly while stealing one of Uraraka's shots. I had very little doubt that she'd notice it was missing anyway.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By the time my boyfriends were off the stage I was, to no one's surprise, pretty fucking wasted and Shinsou's confession long forgotten. "Hey there," Eijirou greeted his arms wrapping around me from behind.
I was so excited by this that I squealed and quickly turned around in my stool, hugging him tightly. I saw Katsuki with a slight smile on his lips behind the redhead. "Hi Kacchan," I greeted him. It was the best I could do, seeing as even drunk me knew he was off limits with everyone around.
"You're completely trashed, aren't you, Deku?" he asked me, a knowing look at his face.
"Just a little bit, like this much." I squinted my eyes and held my hand up, my fingers nearly touching each other.
"Dori was always such a lightweight," Todoroki said with a tsk, but could barely finish his sentence before he was laughing again. This time, Shinsou had to hold him up.
"That's enough for you," Dabi said, coming out of nowhere to take the half-empty glass from his brother's hand.
Todoroki leaned his elbows on the bar, letting his head rest in his hands as he looked at his older brother. "Since when do you care how much I drink?" He was watching his older brother with faint interest, which was a lot for Todoroki. He perpetually looked bored, even when he was actively enjoying an activity.
"Since it's in my club," Dabi pointed out, downing the rest of Todoroki's drink in two swallows.
I clapped my hands at the feat. "That was so fast!"
The black-haired man shook his head with a smile. "You guys should probably get them... somewhere they can sleep," he said to my friends behind us.
"C'mon darlin, we're heading out," Eijirou said with a chuckle as I looked up at him with wide eyes. He locked our fingers together and pulled me to stand. I was actually a little surprised when I managed it, but I was leaning most of my weight on him while we walked back to his truck.
"Shinsou!" I heard Uraraka yell, once we were all outside and at the cars. "You were the sober cab!"
I busted out in laughter as my purple-haired friend just looked at her dumbfounded. "See, that is news to me."
Todoroki leaned his head against the roof of the car. "That'd be because I forgot to tell him." His admission was almost hard to understand as he groaned out nearly every word, tipping to the side as if he was about to fall over, even with the car for support.
"Todoroki!" I heard her whine.
"We'll find room in the truck for you guys," Ashido said suddenly, grabbing the upset girl's hand. "You can sit on my lap." The statement was punctuated with a wink.
Uraraka turned and thanked Todoroki suddenly. Then Ashido was pulling her to the truck.
Eijirou sighed tiredly at the actions. He handed his keys over to Katsuki. "You drive, I'll sit shotgun with Iz. Everyone else can figure their own shit out in the back," he explained, leading me to the passenger door. Ashido was already in the back, Uraraka on her lap as they giggled and whispered back and forth. Todoroki slid in next, drunkenly grabbed Sero's wrist, and pulled him in right after. This was how Sero ended up in Todoroki's lap, bright red, and Kaminari was half on Shinsou, half on the seat, talking his ear off.
I was happily falling asleep on Eijirou in the front, letting the car ride lull me to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I woke up the next morning groggy and my stomach turning, but nothing too awful. I groaned as I rolled over, reaching my arm out to pat the bed next to me. Unlike the last two trips to the club, I actually remembered where I had fallen asleep the night before.

Just as I had been hoping, my hand landed on a firm chest, earning a deep laugh. "Mornin', Iz."

"It's not the morning yet, I'm still sleeping," I mumbled happily as he shifted closer so I could lay against him, his arm wrapping around me.

"I think Kats would disagree with you," Eijirou teased, twirling a piece of my hair absently. "He's downstairs right now making breakfast. And your friends are still down there."

I sat bolt upright at his words, earning another laugh from him. "You left him alone with them?" I accused, already heading for the door.

"Hey, darlin'?" Eijirou called from behind me.

"What?"

He looked me up and down with a taunting smirk. "Forgetting something?"

I looked down and realized I was not wearing my shirt from last night. "Okay, that I don't remember."

"You took it off in your sleep," he explained with more laughter. "I woke up to you wrestling it off, almost lost an eye."

"Where'd it go?" I asked while searching around his room. I couldn't find it anywhere.

"Here, just wear this," Eijirou broke me from my concentration, handing me a hoodie.

I looked up at him skeptically. "You know you're never getting it back, right?"

A chuckle escaped his lips at my question. "I'm well aware, Iz."

"Good!" I said as I happily threw it on. It was way too big for me, which is the best way for a hoodie to fit, and it smelt like him. I could not be more grateful to sleep me for losing my shirt.

I grabbed his hand and led him down to the kitchen, finding Shinsou and Todoroki sitting at the island, scrolling through their phones silently. Katsuki was standing at the stove, flipping pancakes. I almost made a joke about him being a housewife. Almost.

"Ura still asleep?" I asked as we walked in. I pushed myself up to sit on the countertop in front of the last empty stool, a clear sign for Eijirou to take it.

Todoroki snorted at the question, glancing up from his phone at me. "Do you really have to ask?"

"The pink one is passed out right next to her," Shinsou added, setting his phone down. He looked me up an down once, a frown on his lips. I couldn't help but wonder if he'd woken up on the wrong side of the bed, or the floor, or... where ever he'd actually slept that night.

"Ashido stayed?" I asked, turning to Eijirou, who had, in fact, sat on the stool. I tried to brush off the weird look Shinsou had given me by continuing the conversation.

He shrugged at me. "I thought she left."

"Uraraka was wasted and wouldn't let her go, not that she seemed to be upset about it at all," Shinsou explained with a short laugh. I felt myself relax as the conversation flowed once again, no one else appearing bothered.

I was only a little startled as a plate of pancakes was thrust into my hands with no warning. "Thanks, Kacchan!" I exclaimed in excitement, grabbing a fork from the drawer on the other side of the island. I had to awkwardly balance the plate while I leaned back for it, but I managed. By the time I was about to take my first bite, Eijirou was also handed a plate. I eyed him suspiciously, giving my head a quick shake. "Grab your own fork," I demanded, finally taking my first bite of food.

A fork was handed to him over my shoulder, as he laughed at my attitude.

"It's not gonna grow legs and run from you," I heard Katsuki's voice tease from behind me, but I didn't grace him with a response. I was way to absorbed in my pancakes.

"Been telling him that for years, doesn't seem to have an affect," Shinsou pointed out from my left.

I looked over with just enough time to see Todoroki nodding in agreement. "Almost took my finger off for trying to steal a mochi once." he had a haunted look in his eyes, as if the event had traumatized him for life.

"Don't steal my shit then," I snapped back, in between bites.

Todoroki stared at me with wide eyes, not believing those words had just left my mouth. "I'm the one who gave you the damn mochi!"

"Gave it to me," I repeated, a finger on my chin as I pretended to think about it. "Which means that it was mine. Don't steal my shit," I said again, pointing my fork at him in a threatening manner.

I heard Katsuki chuckle behind me, but I chose to ignore it in favor for taking another bite. "You this fucking possessive over everything? Or just food?"

The was a groan from the entrance of the kitchen, gathering everyone's attention. Uraraka had her eyes tightly shut, a grimace on her face while Ashido held her hand with a teasing smile. "You should see him with boys," she finally managed to say.

I clapped in a slow and condescending manner, having to rest my plate on my thighs to achieve it.  "Uraraka, fighting off the hangover to bully me since day one."

She scoffed at me, the pink haired girl holding her hand leading her over to the counter. Eijirou was kind enough to hop off his stool, so she had somewhere to sit. Ashido sent him a grateful look that he just chuckled at. He knew the pain of taking care of someone who's hungover and dying. "As if you didn't threaten to skin me alive if I made a move on the boy we both had crushes on in ninth grade."

"God damn, nerd," Katsuki had leaned back against the counter, a smirk on his face. He'd already fed Eijirou and I, so he was just sitting back and watching the encounter like it was a movie.

I stabbed a piece of pancake with my fork. "Someone hits on you, you tell me and no one else. If the cops ask, you've never met them," I instructed, my eyes on my food. It was directed at both of my boyfriends.

Eijirou laughed at my threat, but I knew he wasn't laughing at me. There wasn't a doubt in my mind that he'd come straight to me if someone else hit on him. Katsuki too, of course. "Same goes for you, darlin'."

Before I could stop myself, my eyes darted to Shinsou, a fuzzy memory shaking loose at his words. The purple haired teen was already looking at me, a frown taking over his features when our eyes locked. Well, shit

After breakfast, Eijirou said they had to get going soon to drop my friends off at Todoroki's car and asked if I wanted to come with. Obviously, I said yes. I had managed to talk him into waiting until I could shower first. I still smelt like a bar at exploded on me.

I had gone back over to my own house, finding a note on the table from my mom. She apologized for not being home all weekend and said we could go out Monday night if I wanted. I smiled softly while I read it. It was nice that she was trying to hard for me. I'd almost forgotten what it was like.

I quickly showered and threw Eijirou's hoodie back on with a pair of jeans. Like hell I was taking that sweatshirt off so soon. Eventually, after his scent was gone, I'd wash it and give it back for a day or two, and then steal it right back after he wore it. I had a feeling he was already expecting that.

I was about to head back when a panting mess fell on my floor. I almost screamed, but managed to refrain. A hand was on my chest as I took deep breaths to calm my racing heart.

"Do you seriously do this every day?" Shinsou asked in disbelief, taking another greedy breath of air.

"At least twice," I clarified, staring down at him in question. "What're you doing here?"

He pushed himself up, leaning against the wall under my window. "We're leaving tomorrow and I wanted to talk to you before we did."

I was going to instantly redeem Shinsou, have him defend Eijirou and be a good best friend and then end up with Denki bc I'm a slut for ShinKami, but then I hit writers block because there was no drama. Sorry bout it.
