Not the only one...

There was an eerie silence between Emily and her thoughts. It was like she was split in two; half of her body was telling her to stop moving and think about what she would do, however the other part was telling her react and keep everything a secret. She just didn't know what to do...

Emily cautiously walked towards her mirror. She was a monster. She couldn't cry, as her skin was too thick to cope with emotions. She noticed her eyes weren't that beautiful bright blue anymore, her eyes were crimson. She examined her giant hands, well....not really hands anymore. More like claws, with a hand shape to it. "What has happened to me?" she whispered, scraping her claws through her fur.

Emily built up fear within her body, until she shouted with rage, "What has happened to me?!" She ripped her blinds open, so that she could see other people in the streets. They were all human. "Why me?" she muttered under her breath, "Why am I the only one?" However, she was far wrong from that...

She saw David, hugging his bride and shaking hands with other the men and women. "Erik. He's the only one who can understand me!" Emily said, "He always has, since the day I met  him, we have never not been there for each other." So she ran towards her door, until she thought, 'Nobody else will understand. They'll think that I'm a threat to their lives, so they will try to end mine.' She held back the tears and all the bad words that she could say.

Emily sat on her stairs, scrolling through her mind, looking for one reason to not be afraid, although she knew deep down inside her bewildered soul, that she had one thing to hold onto, hope. Her heart was beating like a war drum, her breath was losing its meaning and she knew what she had to do...

The rising sun was shining brightly against Emily's window. She opened her curtains slowly, took a deep breath then suddenly....she wasn't a werewolf anymore! She had turned back to a human, in her same clothes and with the same sweet, but bitter personality. She breathed a sigh of relief; Erik was walking towards her house. "Erik, what are you doing here?" Asked Emily confused. Erik ran inside and slammed the door behind him.

He scratched his head in an ashamed manner. "Look, there's something I need to tell you." Said Erik, twirling his hair with the point of his finger, "I know you'll think I'm crazy, but you have to believe me." Emily saw that his eyes were gradually turning from a hazel to a crimson colour. "Erik, what's happening to you?" Asked Emily, grabbing a blanket from one of the sofas, and wrapping it around him as he murmured, "I'm....I'm becoming a werewolf.."
