Chapter 14: Mid Morn Sickness
I feel so stupid because this chapter could've been in the last chapter...
Your behavior never returned to normal, Sanji took you back to the Sunny as soon as he possibly could to avoid a potential anxiety attack from you within the near future.
Like bracelets, Sanji had strung his arms through the handles of the grocery bags and carried the load to the kitchen, dropping them off upon the counter closest to the refrigerator. The bags being so heavy they left imprints upon his skin. The blonde rubbed his forearms before unloading the contents of the first bag he had nearby and went ahead with packing up the storage and the refrigerator with the foods he had just picked up. There was a peaceful silence within the kitchen, Sanji had found himself humming a soft toon to accompany himself by until there here was a sudden ruckus outside that had caught the blonde's attention.
Robin came into the kitchen all giggles with a hand pressed to her lips. Sanji eased himself, returning to work. "What's going on out there?" Sanji grumbled as he stood on his tiptoes to put some things away within the cabinets.
"Oh," Robin giggled again. "Nothing out of the ordinary. Chopper saw that (Y/n) hurt herself again."
"Yeah," Sanji acknowledged the woman standing before him. "She had a night terror and hurt herself pretty bad. Me and Brook took care of her so there's no need to get your panties all in a bunch."
"Aren't those a regular thing now?" Robin had caught on to your reoccurring issue.
"Yes," Sanji shrugged his shoulders. "But they're getting better. (Y/n) hasn't cried lately."
"Progress," Robin commented. "Anyways, Brook told me you spent the entire day with (Y/n)... How was it?" Sanji found the long pause a bit suspicious even for Robin.
"Different," Sanji had no other words.
"Different as in?" Robin hummed.
"I don't know. Different," Sanji repeated sitting down at the counter before Robin. "We went shopping for a while until (Y/n) got really bored and so we split up. Afterwards she found a psychic and she hasn't been the same since."
"A woman like (Y/n) wouldn't be so foolish as to actually believe what a woman out to grab a quick buck would say," Robin explained, only to get a disapproving shake of the head from Sanji.
"I believe the woman was the real deal Miss Robin," Sanji expressed all very briefly. "She... She..." Sanji trailed off.
"She what Sanji?"
Sanji pursed his lip, stroking his chin. "She told me that I'll ask (Y/n) to be my other half without actually asking," Robin perked up hearing the news as Sanji had expected to happen. To avoid more questions, he had reached out to the pile of grocery bags and pulled out his yellow rose of crimson tips still perfect and free of thorns. "That's what I had planned to do. To give her this rose and let (Y/n) come to a conclusion."
"I had no clue you liked (Y/n) in a romantic manner" Robin awed. She took the perfect rose from Sanji's hands, giving the blossom a well deserved intake of its sweet aroma. "A yellow rose and red tips means you're in love... That's quite deserving for your nickname Love Cook"
"Yeah," Sanji's cheeks went rosy. "I did my research." Robin called me Love Cook! I think my heart might just die from excitement!
"Well... What did that Psychic say about (Y/n)?" Robin was now eager to know.
"I wasn't around for her fortune," Sanji regrets to admit. "The only fortune I got from (Y/n) was about Law and Smoker and how they're out to get her," and there Robin began to frown hearing what she never wanted to know. "I'm pretty sure there was more to it, cause (Y/n) doesn't cower in front of enemies... That much I know for sure," Sanji was more than confident in that fact.
"You got that right," Robin agreed, despite the fact she wasn't thrilled. "I guess we just leave everything to fate. (Y/n) claims she has all these enemies when really they're vital assets to her but us as well. The Government wishes to get (Y/n) back as their vital asset, therefore they won't lay a hand on her but us as well."
"Robin," Sanji backed up. "I never told you that (Y/n) used to work for the World Government."
"That's right you didn't," Robin hummed. "But I used to work for the Revolutionary Army, information like her past professions are easy to get our hands on."
"Damn," Sanji perked up. "So what about those allies? The only ones that come to mind are Kidd and Law."
"Same here," Robin regrets to admit. Her information on you was very... Light so to speak. "She was enrolled to become an agent in one of the Cipher Pol units much like those Galley-La shipwrights who were secret agents in CP9," Robin informed Sanji to the best of her ability before continuing on with what her brain could conjure up on the spot.
"Although It was no surprise that (Y/n) traveled with Eustass for a while not so long before we grouped back together from our disband of two years. She kept her position on Kidd's crew on the down low which in fact worked in her favor since we all had not a clue she worked with him until she joined us," Robin complements your actions and started right back up again. "Law and (Y/n) both hate the World Government, and she had admit once that he chases her for show. And have you already forgotten about Punk Hazard?" Robin hummed.
"I must have," Sanji scratched his chin.
"Law and Smoker aren't buddies so to speak. And If that Psychic told (Y/n) that Law and Smoker are out to get her, it could be that Law is here to save (Y/n) from Smoker."
"Brilliant," Sanji smirked. "I don't have the capacity to think that much outside of the box."
"Don't count yourself out," Robin hummed. "Cook," Robin spoke after a moments silence. "I know how you like the kitchen, leave the unloading to me, I think we all know you need some time alone with the Monster."
"Oh great..." Sanji groaned. "First Brook calls her a Monster and now you?"
"Haven't you noticed it's Zoro, Luffy, and Franky's pet name for her?" Robin grinned.
"No clue," Sanji pressed his lips into a fine line.
"Anyways," Robin giggled, handing Sanji your rose. "I know she'll say yes."
Sanji smiled softly, taking the rose within his hands. "I'll take all the luck I can get," Sanji stepped away, leaning against the door. "Thank you Robin."
"Quit talking to me when you have a girl waiting for her Cook."
"Yeah yeah," Sanji snickered taking his exit only to learn Chopper had you under lockdown within the sickbay in which he refused to let you out until the morning after. And boy did you look exhausted like you were a walking corpse.
"I am one second away from killing Chopper," you huffed rubbing your bloodshot eyes with the backs of your hands. "I need Law... This is too much," you in turn spoke under your breath. At this point you were anticipating for the time Law could arrive, even if it meant facing a foe in the process. Sanji couldn't wrap his head around the situation.
"Just take things easy," Sanji reassured you, running a hand down your back as you took a seat at the table for breakfast. You were glad to admit the action soothed your nerves. "Keep away from fighting and maybe some more sleep couldn't hurt, Chopper's only looking after you."
"Yeah! You look horrible," Luffy grumbled with a mouthful of food. Zoro growled hitting him upside the head. Even he had enough manners to not talk with his mouth full.
"I know..." You sighed, holding your head up with one hand. "I'm two seconds away from dropping dead..."
"Maybe you'll wake up after some breakfast," Sanji lied a plate of pancakes and hashbrowns down before you as he too took a seat beside you and dug into a plate of his own. You took a look around the table noticing only half of the crew was present. You, Sanji, Zoro, Luffy, and Robin of whom were eating soundly. You looked back down to your food, your stomach turned.
"This... Isn't good," your breathing was already heavy as it was, realizing the action made it stand out just that much more.
"Here (Y/n)," Sanji hooked his arm around your side, gently pulling you towards him on the end of the bench. "You should lie down," even though it was a suggestion, Sanji manually lied you down upon the floor.
"Is she poisoned again?" Zoro immediately assumed.
"Highly doubt it," Sanji replied back after checking you over and taking a seat at the table. "She's running a small fever but overall I think (Y/n)'s just tired. Chopper wouldn't have let her go otherwise."
"I think we can all agree on that," Robin spoke with a hint of concern. "I say after breakfast, us five should go out to town together... Unless you got plans."
"I'm up for it!" Luffy cheered.
"Why not," Zoro shrugged pushing his plate to sit in the middle of the table.
"I don't know," Sanji turned his entire body around, looking down upon you while you breathed soundly upon the floor. "What do you say (Y/n)?" Sanji asked, everyone rubbernecked to see you from where they sat. You slowly lifted your hand, giving them all a thumbs up.
"Nap first," you grumbled.
"Alright then," Sanji spun around within his seat. "Sounds like a plan."
