I sighed as Scarlet spoke. We were currently outside of our dorm discussing Jill.

Scarlet: "Just go and take her out to do something."

Me: "Is she really that bad?"

Scarlet: "She hasn't left the dorm besides for classes, she does nothing but lay in bed and stay up looking at the news for any clues on the White Fang."

Me: "Alright. I'll take her out somewhere, but no promises that she'll actually enjoy where I take her."

Scarlet: "I swear if she comes back with so much as a scratch I'll dull all of your throwing knives."

Me: " Hey, never threaten a man's knives."

Scarlet: "Just get going."

Me: "Fine."

I walked through the door to our dorm, and spotted Jill, laying in her bed on her scroll.

Me: "Alright pup, time to go."

I walked over to the side of her bed and sat down.

Jill: "Go where...?"

She spoke in her usual soft, shy voice.

Me: "You and I are going for a walk."

Jill: "I really don't fe-"

I raised my brow to her and stopped her, mid-sentence.

Me: "I don't remember giving you a choice."

I smirked and stood up.

Me: "I'll be outside, waiting."

I walked out and saw Scarlet still standing there.

Scarlet: "Well?"

Me: "She's getting ready."

Scarlet: "Good. Now remember what I said, not a single scratch."

Me; "I got it, I got it."

Scarlet: "And try to contain your jackass impulses."

I gave a fake gasp and put my hand on my chest as if I had been hit.

Me: "I, Madam, am a nice person."

She rolled her eyes and walked into our dorm. After waiting a few minutes Jill walked out in her usual hoodie and jeans.

Me: "Alright, let's get going."

We started walking.

Jill: "Where are we going?"

Me: "It's a surprise."

[Time Skip, To Vale]

After we got to Vale I led Jill towards downtown. I planned to take her to a shop I saw while I was running some "errands".

Me: "So Jill, we need to talk about something."

I saw her jump out of the corner of my eye.

Jill: "A-About what?"

I chuckled.

Me: "No need to be nervous. It's about how you've been acting ever since the run in with Roman."

Jill: "I...I j-just..."

Me: "You want to stop the White Fang because the way they are is representing all faunas. They're making people see faunas as monsters."

Jill nodded and looked at the ground.

Me: "Jill, i can't say I understand your problem. But I can say that you shouldn't care what people think."

Jill: "Th-That's.. easy for you to say... you're human..."

Me: "You're right. I am, but how about..."

I closed my eyes and focused. Smoke started to pour from my body, then slowly accumulated to the top of my head and my lower back. I opened my eyes and the smoke formed wolf ears and a wolf tail.

Me: "I be a faunas for a day. We'll go and do a few things and I'll get to see what it's like to be a faunas."

Jill just stared at me.

Jill: "H-How did you...?"

Me: "It's a trick I learned after the investigation. I figured being able to disguise myself as a faunas would be a useful trick."

Jill: "B-But they look so real."

Me: "Well of course, I tied them to my aura, that way they'll last much longer, basically until my aura is drained."

To show her I swished my tail around and made my ears twitch.

Me: "Now come on, we're almost there."

While we continued walking I kept noticing Jill staring at me.

Me: 'Guess I do look pretty weird with the animal ears and tail.'

We soon arrived at the shop I had in mind. It was a nice sized building that had different paintings in the window, and above the door it said "Vale Art Supplies". I lead Jill inside and smiled at her.

Me: "You're always drawing, so I figured getting some supplies and stuff would be a nice pick-me-up for you."

Jill: "(Y/N)... I uh... I don't have any mon-"

Me: "I'm paying, now go pick out stuff."

Jill: "But-"

Me: "Jill. I'm gonna count to five, and if you haven't started looking around when I get to five, I'm gonna-"

She suddenly zoomed off and started looking around. I chuckled and watched as she began to pick out a few things. Once she collect a her items she started to turn towards me but her eyes suddenly landed on a box. She seemed to hesitate to grab it so I walked forward and grabbed it. It was some kind of drawing set, for a comic book or something. I looked over to Jill.

Me: "This it?"

Jill: "I'd feel bad if you g-got that... its expensive..."

Me: "Trust me, I can afford it."

We walked to the register and waited for a moment. As the female cashier lazily walked out of the back room and neared the register a male cut in front of us and placed his items on the counter.

Me: "Hey asshole, we were here-"

Cashier: "Is that all, sir?"

Me: 'Oh so that's how it is...'

I quickly, but carefully took the man's wallet from his left pocket.

Male: "Yes that's all."

Cashier: "Alright, that'll be 13.37."

The man reached for his wallet, when he didn't feel it he started frantically looking for it.

Cashier: "Is there a problem sir?"

Male: "Uh... yeah.. I could've sworn I had my wallet on me... I must've left it at home."

And with that the man left. I stepped forward and placed the items on the counter.

Cashier: "That all?"

Me: "I believe so."

Cashier: "40.67"

I pulled out the man's wallet and took out the money needed. She gave me my change then started to walk off.

Me: "Think we could get a bag for this?"

She rolled her eyes and tossed a bag onto the counter.

Me: "Thanks, you're a doll."

I said sarcastically. After I placed everything in the bag Jill and I walked out of the store.

Jill: "See... faunas aren't people to humans..."

Me: "It all depends on the person. With me, I hate everyone equally."

We started walking back to Beacon. As we walked I noticed an Ice cream stand.

Me: "Hey, want to get some ice cream?"

Jill nodded happily. We walked over and ordered. Once we got our ice cream we went and sat down on a bench to eat. As we were eating a group approached us. Judging by looks they didn't seem like the friendly type.

Male1: "Hey, move, you faunas trash."

I raised my brow as I was in the middle of licking my ice cream.

Me: "Anth why woulth i tho that?"

Male1: "Because you White Fang are just a bunch of animals, you should be sitting on the ground."

I finished licking my ice cream and looked up at the man.

Me: "You realize not all faunas are in the White Fang right?"

Male1: "Yeah right, now move before I force you off the bench."

I sighed.

Me: "Or, or, you could take your little group here and go educate those small minds of yours."

Male2: "Are you calling us stupid?!"

Me: "Certainly wasn't calling you smart."

Male1: "That's it!"

I let the man grab onto my collar and lift me up.

Male1: "You and that little bitch of yours made a big mistake."

I gave the male a death glare.

Me: "What did you just call her?"

The man smirked.

Male1: "I called her a little bit-"

I dispersed into smoke and appeared beside Jill.

Me: "Hold this for a moment."

I handed her my ice cream then jumped forward and punched the male in the face, sending him flying back into his group.

Me: "Apologize to the lady before I rip your arms off and beat your friends to death with them."

I cracked my knuckles loudly and stared at the man.

Male1: "Alright you fuck, let's do this!"

The man pulled out a knife and rushed me. I waited for him to try and stab me, then countered him by disarming him and grabbing his arm. I knocked him off his feet and made him faceplant onto the ground. I then placed my foot on his back, grabbed onto his wrist, then put my other hand on his elbow to straighten his arm and apply pressure.

Me: "So, you gonna apologize to her?"

Male1: "Fuck you!"

I pulled his arm back further, gaining a popping sound and the man screaming.

Me: "You should REALLY apologize before your arm is ripped off."

Male1: "Fine! Fine! I'm sorry!"

Me: "Like you mean it."

I applied more pressure.

Male1: "I'm really sorry!"

Me: "Good boy, Now run along."

I got off the man and he ran off with his group. I shook my head.

Me: "Human beings really are disgusting creatures."

I walked back to Jill and she handed my ice cream.

Jill: "You... You didn't have to do that..."

Me: "I know I didn't. But I couldn't let him call you that, we are friends after all."

Jill: "Wait... I'm your... friend?"

Me: "Well yeah, we're a team. I know your terrified of me but I think of you as my friend."

Jill: "I... I..."

She suddenly hugged onto me and buried her face in my chest.

Jill: "Th-Thank you, (Y/N)."

I chuckled and patted her head.

Me: "No problem pup."

I smiled down at her.

Me: "Anyway, let's head back. We've got class tomorrow."

Jill smiled at me and nodded.

[Time Skip, To Beacon]

Jill and I walked through the door to see Scarlet reading at her desk and Alex laying on his bed. Scarlet looked at us and instantly stood up then looked over Jill.

Scarlet: "Did he do anything? Are you hurt?"

Jill: "I-I'm fine.  Why?"

Scarlet: "He didn't get you in trouble or-"

She looked over at me, then noticed the animal ears and tail.

Scarlet: "(Y/N)... what... how... why?"

Me: "I made wolf ears and a tail with my semblance, and I did it to see what faunas have to go through on a daily basis."

Scarlet: "Wait, you actually did something nice?"

Me: "See, I'm totally a nice person."

Scarlet: "What did you steal and who did you kill?"

Me: "I have no idea what you mean... Oh yeah, Hey Alex."

He looked over at me half asleep.

Alex: "Hm?"

I threw him the stolen wallet.

Me: "I got you a new wallet."

He looked at it.

Alex: "Whys there already money in it?"

Me: "Anyway, I'm going to get a shower."

I ignored him and started humming as I walked into the bathroom.
