Reid’s pov

We are at the hospital where she is being prepped. I pace outside the room waiting when the rest of the team and Sheriff Connor arrive “is she okay” Sheriff asks “they are prepping her right now” jus then a young nurse comes out “Dr Reid?” I snap my head up “yes that’s me” I reply the nurse smiles “Miss Reid want you with her please follow me” she opens the door I look back one more time before going to Kenzie.

When I get there Kenz is pale “Einstein” she smiles “hey Baby Butterfly” i take her hand and she squeezes it “ i guess you got my text you saved me” she whispers “Kenz your my cousin of course i would save you” i reply she gives me a weak smile as she goes into another contraction. “Spence i’m scared” she wimpers “of what?” i wonder “i’ll be a bad mother i just know i will i’m not ready how am i suppose to provide for a baby i have no job and...and” she cries “hey its gonna be okay you have Sheriff Connor he’ll help you” i tell her “i’m not adopted Spence why would he do that?” she chuckles “because your like his daughter” i tell her.

The doctor comes in after hours of contractions and tells us its time for her to push. “on three push okay” she clarifies “one...two...three push” Kenz grips my hand tight as she pushes then lets out a long breath “good okay now calm down and get ready again this time it’s gonna be ten second longer okay” the Dr says “now push again” she does as she’s told and pushes with all her might “you're doing great Kenzie i can see the head now one big push to her you baby cry” she encourages Lia pushes long and hard then breaths and again pushes with ease. Screams of a baby fill the room as Lia breaths heavily “congratulations its a boy” the Dr hands him to Lia “he’s perfect” she announces i kiss the top of her head “what are you going to name him” i ask she ponders for a while “Kai. His name is Kai Zachary Reid” she beams .

Everyone comes in “Kez this is Aaron Hotchner, Derek Morgan, Jenifer Jareau, Emily Prentiss and David Rossi. Guys this is my cousin Makenzalia Reid and her Son Kai”i do the introduction the Sheriff gasps “you names her after my daughter” he asks she just smiles and nods

“Kenzie I’ve been thinking that only if you want to. You might come and want to stay with me. Just till you get on your feet or longer I’ve have room for you and Kai so...” i trail off. Her head snaps up to meet my gaze “Spence i wouldn’t want to intrude” she hesitates “Lia i’m asking you to move to Quantico with me” i clarify. She thinks about it for a while “only if you’re sure” i nod “Hotch is it alright if i take some time off to help Kenzie with the move?” i ask for once he smiles “take as much time off you need” he then looks down at his watch “guys we have to be going see you back at work Reid” he says before he leaves followed by the others it’s just me and Sheriff Connor “are you sure about this Mackenzalia you don’t have to i’m proud to help out” he questions “i’m very sure, you’ve always been like a dad to me and i’m grateful but its time i make my own way in the world this place hold memories which some i’d rather forget besides i get the chance to live with my Spence”
