As the Taxi Driver pulled up to the courthouse, Scarlett thought she had made up her mind about what she was going to do.

The way she saw it..She could either Perjure herself by lying on the stand or she could stand by the oath to tell the truth. She sighs thinking about what her mother would say in this situation.

Her mother always brought her up to tell the truth but the truth was she never listened.. not really. Maybe that's why she fell for Vincent. 

Vincent was the complete opposite to her.. He was dangerous and exciting not to mention no regards to following the law at all. Knowing him he had his own set of rules.

She paid the driver his money and exited out the car. As she watched the Taxi drive away she took a deep breath and faced the courthouse.

She walked toward the big doors of the courthouse and made her decision.

She opened uup the doors of the courthouse where she was greeted by her lawyer.

Her lawyer smiled at her. "Don't worry It will all be okay.."

Scarlett bit her lip. "Actually there's something you should know.."

Her lawyer frowned. "Is there something you haven't told me?."

Scarlett nodded ashamed. "Yeah.. Vincent asked to see me so I went and uh.. he wants me to commit Perjury."

Her lawyer stared at her opened mouthed. "He what?!.. Tell me exactly what happened quickly."

So Scarlett told her everything and this time she held nothing back. Just telling her lawyer her story brought tears in her eyes.

Her lawyer sighs. "I'm gonna ask the Judge to adjourn the case until we figure a way around this.. Clearly Vincent is harassing you."

Scarlett splutters. "No he isn't.. Please I just want it over and done with."

Her lawyer nodded. "Fine.. If you wanna perjure yourself go ahead.. but I won't be getting you out of prison."

Scarlett nodded. "I..I understand."

Suddenly the clerk called them in.

"All parties involved in the Vincent Mandelo case come forward..You may go inside now."
