The cats of WhisperClan woke to a loud, grief-filled yowl. They hurried out of their dens, immediately catching sight of Swiftstorm huddled by a limp body. Gasps rose from the throats of the cats as they crept closer to investigate what had happened.

There on the ground lay Leafwish, her ginger pelt matted and her normally bright eyes now dull and lifeless. There were claw marks on the side of her body, which could only mean one thing. She was murdered.

Overwhelmed by grief and sadness, Swiftstorm quickly bolted out of the camp, his cries for his dead mate echoing in the ears of the WhisperClan cats...

Leafwish has been murdered. She was the Cave-Guard.

Her mate, Swiftstorm, has died of grief. He was a warrior.
