Unobservant little Shits

❤️💜ITS BEEN TWO DAYS AND ALREADY 1k ?!?!?!?! BOIIIIIIII💜❤️

---Horror's POV----

I hummed softly as I walked past the police station, pulling my hood up over my head and making sure my temporary scarf was wrapped around my neck, covering my mouth.

I could see police milling about inside and outside the station, completely unaware that the hooded skeleton walking past them was a member of the most wanted criminal gang in the country.

Unobservant little shits.

A few officers cast curious glances at me, but I ignored them. Playing the roll of an innocent citizen out for a walk in the damp, foggy streets. Nope, nothing suspicious to see here officers.

I chuckled, slipping down the market alleyway, eyeing up the fresh fruits and vegetables that were being advertised.

I did have money in my pocket, but what's the fun in going up to someone and paying for food? It's much more exhilarating and exciting to steal it from right under their noses.

I glanced around the largest fruit stall, smirking as I saw that the stall master was busy dealing with a different customer.

I reached a hand out, swiping a ripe mango from the shelf. Humming softly as I continued walking, I slipped it into my large hoodie pocket.

This is just too easy.

As I continued walking the crowds of people bustling down the streets thinned, leaving only me and a few other people.

Soon enough I was alone, walking down the dark and murky alleyways that lead to my destination.

Glancing up, I smirked as the top of some tall apartment blocks came into view over the roofs of other houses.

I continued to walk until I reached the tall set of apartment blocks. There were two of them. And I'm in apartment block A. The slightly better kept one.

I skipped up the steps to the main entrance, waving at Linda, the receptionist, as I walked up through to the stairs, ignoring her huffed complaints of how my grubby feet were dirtying the new carpet.

I've never used the lift, always the stairs. It's an odd habit of mine.

With the sound of Lindas irritable shouting fading behind me, I walked up the stairs, headed for the seventh floor.

Funny story, the people that live in the apartment room next to us know about me being a criminal. They are fully aware that I'm part of the most wanted gang. But they don't care really, they just smile and act like I'm just someone else. Someone normal.

I shook my head, smiling as I thought about them. The two old monsters are actually so kind to us.

I blinked, looking up as I realised I'd reached my destination.

Number seventy six. My apartment.

I reached into my pocket without the mango, pulling out the cheep rusted key with the little smily faced key chain.

I sighed softly, inserting the key into the lock with a quiet click. No sooner than I'd opened the door I was tackled down, dragged to the floor with a thump, a dry wheeze escaping me as the breath was knocked from my non-existent lungs.

"Nooo..." I groaned, going limp beneath my attacker. "You're going to crush the mango..."

Immediately I was freed, and an eager face popped into my vision. "Did you say mango?!"

I snickered, rolling to my feet before reaching into my pocket and pulling out the ripe, slightly squashed mango.

"Give it! Give it! Give it!" He called, reaching out for it desperately.

I threw it in the air, laughing as he scrambled away from me, catching it before it could hit the dark carpeted floor.

"Someone's home early~"

I looked behind me, smirking as I caught sight of my slim sexy lover stood silhouetted in the doorway leading into the kitchen.

"Mmm I couldn't wait to see my two favourite people in the whole wide world~" I purred, sweeping the purple eyed skeleton off his feet and into my arms, earning an alarmed squeak out of him.

"Don't worry, I've got you~" I snickered, holding him tight to my chest.

Lust glared cutely up at me, wrapping his arms round the back of my neck for support. "A little warning next time?!"

I nuzzled him, sitting down on the sofa with him in my arms. "Nah~ I like surprising you~"

"Ew, take that to the bedroom."

I blinked, both me and Lust turning to look at our son, Desire.

He was smirking as he took another bite out of the mango, the juices dripping down onto his clothes and the carpet.

"Our carpet!!" Lust screeched, scrambling out of my arms and picking Desire up. "How many times have I told you not to eat stuff that can stain in here?!"

Desire snickered, curling up like a baby in his arms. "Mmm...lemme see...about a thousand?"

"Exactly!"

I laughed, leaning back into the sofa as I watched Lust carry our son into the kitchen before plonking him down on one of the counters.

"Stay here until you've eaten that. And clear up your mess after."

"Yes daaaddd..." He muttered, swinging his legs back and forth as he grinned at me.

I gave him a thumbs up in response, making Lust glare at me wearily.

"Don't encourage him..." He groaned, flopping down next to me and resting his head on my lap. "You'll only make him worse..."

"If he can get any worse." I joked, earning an offended yell from the kitchen.

"I am the perfect child I'll have you know!" Desire shouted, taking another bite of mango.

"Mmm we beg to differ..." Lust mumbled, making me laugh again.

"We love you really son." I called, petting Lust's head softly as he purred unwillingly.

"Mmm I'm sure you do..."

Lust shifted next to me, curling up in a small ball as he grabbed the blanket from the other side of the sofa. He wrapped it around himself, purring louder at the warmth that the blanket and I gave off.

"My little kitty~" I whispered, making him blush an nod.

"Your little kitty~"

I chuckled, tucking the blanket in around him as I hummed softly, glancing out of the window that lead off to a view of Craitowns rolling fields.

Amongst those fields was the river, and past that was the forest. The dark and intimidating forest full of wildlife. Past that was the land of ash, and past that was the forest of dead trees and creeper vines, the place where Lust broke his leg.

I sighed, rubbing the top of Lust's skull affectionately as I thought back to those days.

Lust's leg had healed years ago, but there's still the faint scar from where the creeper vine snapped his fragile bones when we were on the run from the police.

I blinked, frowning as a figure seemed to appear out of no where in the middle of a field, just before the river.

I shivered. They seemed to be staring right at me.

"Something wrong?"

I looked down, smiling weakly at Lust. "No...I...I just want to check something real quick...okay?"

Lust frowned but nodded, shifting so that I could stand up and walk to the door.

"Dad?" Desire called. "Where are you going?"

"Don't worry...I'm just checking something..." I muttered, growling softly to myself as I walked out of the room, shutting the door behind me and slipping the key into my pocket.

Quickly as possible, I ran down the stairs, running out into the sunshine, yet again ignoring Linda's outraged cries.

"Mister you're in so much trouble when you get back!"

I waved her off, running round to the back of the apartment block, my eyes scanning across the fields as I slowed, walking now.

The figure was nowhere in sight.

I stayed cautious, looking over my surroundings for any sign of the black and white dressed figure.

Come to think of it...they kinda reminded me of Cross...

I blinked, narrowing my eyes as I caught sight of them.

They were stood at the foot of our apartment block, looking up at one of the windows.

My apartment window.

I growled, marching over. "Hey you! What's your problem?!"

They flinched, slowly turning to face me, a wide grin slowly starting to spread across his face.

"Children are very tasty...wouldn't you agree~?"
