---Dream's POV----

"Look out!" Killer yelled, quickly grabbing onto my hand and pulling me to the side as X fired a blast at the spot where I had once been standing.

I yelped, clinging to him tightly. My side was completely covered in blood, my wound from earlier having opened up even more. In all honesty, my head's gone slightly dizzy. But I haven't told Killer.

"D-Dream!" Killer gasped, looking down at my blood soaked side. "Y-You can't keep up with this! Go group with the others! I'll be fine!"

"M-My answer is still no!" I hissed, my grip on him weakening significantly as another wave of pain spiked through my body. "D-Don't worry about me..."

"I will worry about you!" Killer yelled, suddenly shoving me behind him as he blocked a blast from X with one of his own. "If you seriously think I won't worry about you then you--"

He was cut off suddenly as I ground shaking boom rang out, making the whole floor and building shake violently.

"H-Huh?!"

I looked up, my eyes widening as I saw the ceiling above us cave in suddenly, breaking up and collapsing. "K-Killer!"

He panicked, grabbing onto me tightly before sprinting, stumbling as the chunk of ceiling crashed to the floor, sending a shockwave through us.

Killer yelped as he fell, the blast knocking him right over. He sprawled out on the floor, slamming into the wall right by the exit corridor along with me.

I cried out in pain, stars exploading in my vision. My whole head was ringing, and at this point, I was certain I'd broken several ribs, along with my left arm.

Something stumbled to my side, yelping as the whole building shook violently again. The whole place felt like it was about to collapse.

I felt something grab my arm -my good one- and yank me to my feet before running again, shouting incoherent nonsense.

"Dream! C'mon!"

I shook my head rapidly, attempting to clear it as I clutched on tightly to whoever was dragging me along. Killer.

"This way!" He yelled, dragging me around a corner suddenly, making me yelp in surprise as I desperately tried to keep up with him, ignoring the agonising pain in my side and legs.

A strangled scream from both of us caused us to look back, our eyes wide as we saw the mangle figure of X coming towards us, also trying to escape the lab, that genuinely seemed to be collapsing behind us.

"Faster!" Killer yelled, suddenly skidding round another corner without warning. "Come on Dream! We're nearly there!"

I attempted to run faster, pushing my burning legs to the limit as I growled, forcing myself to look away from X and back in front of me so that I could concentrate better. "Do you even know where you're going?!"

"Of course I don't!" He yelled back, tugging me along. "I'm just picking random corners!"

"YOU'RE WHAT?!" I screeched, yelping as we sped round yet another  corner.

"I don't know!" Killer yelled, suddenly grinning widely as we headed for another corner. "I can see the light!"

I blinked rapidly, surprise literally slapping me in the face as I saw the exit.

The doors were still flung wide open, and I could see the silhouetted figures of the others all stood there, calling us on.

"COME ON!!!"
"DREAM! KILLER!"
"HURRY!!!"

We sprinted forwards as fast as we could, painfully aware of the fact that the building was crumbling to ruins behind us. Oh and lets not forget the fact that X was relentlessly chasing after us.

Another massive crash rang out behind us, and I spared a quick glance back to see a literal wall of fire burst round the last corner of the corridor and come flowing towards us like lava from a volcano.

"GO! GO! GO!" I yelled, almost tripping as Killer put on a sudden burst of speed. He had obviously seen the wall of fire flying towards us as well.

"DON'T JUST LEAVE ME HERE!" X screamed, still chasing after us. "LETS ALL DIE TOGETHER!"

I shook my head rapidly as I ran, trying to block out his voice.

"D-Dream were nearly there!" Killer yelled before diving forwards, dragging me along with him onto the floor. Something wrapped around my waist, and before I even had time to look up, we were both roughly yanked to the side.

Scorching air hit me and I cried out, curling up to try and protect myself. The flames felt no further than a meter away from me.

I attempted to scramble away, looking back behind us in time to see the whole  building collapse on top of the screaming, half melted, burning figure of X, finally cutting off his haunting screams.

Something wrapped around my waist, and suddenly I was pulled back away from the scorching flames before being fanned with cool air.

I looked up blearily, seeing the blurry faces of Ink and Blue above me. "D-Did we do it...?"

Blue went to respond when Ink suddenly gasped, his eyes widening as he looked over to group.

"Wh-Where's Gradient?!"

We all immediately froze, looking across our group before our surroundings. Upon seeing nothing, we hesitantly turned our gaze over to the flaming rubble of what once was X's lab.

"GRADIENT?!" Error yelled, running as close to the crackling flames as he dared. "GRAY?!"

I groaned in pain, forcing myself to my feet. "M-Maybe he's round the back? H-He did go with Sci and Fell to self-destruct as far as I know..."

Ink and Error both seemed to pale significantly, despite being skeletons. "Wh-What if-- what i-if he didn't make it?!"

"L-Lets not think about that possibility." Blue said quickly. "A-As far as we know, he could be fine!"

Ink gripped onto Error tightly, his whole body shaking. "O-Oh Gray...p-please be alive..."

"HEY GUYS!!"

We all whipped around to see Nightmare limping over to a bit of rubble, his eye narrowed. "Wh-What is it?!"

Nightmare ignored us, reaching out two tentacles and gripping onto a chunk of rubble, grunting as he dragged it off whatever had caught his interest.

"N-Nighty?" Cross edged over to him, confused and slightly concerned. As he reached Nightmare however, he let out a gasp, his eyes widening. "G-Gradient!"

Immediately Ink and Error shot over there like a bullet, watching in shock as Nightmare's tentacles dragged a limp body from the rubble.

Gradient.

"O-Oh god! G-Gray!" Ink dropped down to his knees as Nightmare gently placed Gradient's seemingly unconscious body onto the grass.

Error scanned over his body, his eyes wide with panic. "H-He's injured!"

Ink breathed out shakily, placing his hands on Gradient's skull softly. "I-I'll heal him...h-he should be fine..."

We all nodded, and in a few minutes, let out cheers, relief crashing over us as Gradient let out a faint groan, his eyes fluttering open.

"...H...huh...?"

"Shh..." Ink whispered, holding him close. "You're safe, don't worry..."

Gradient closed his eyes again, letting out a weak laugh. "S-So it's all over...?"

"It should be..." Dust muttered, glancing around as a frown slowly formed on his face. "Hey...where are Sci and Fell...?"

Gradient visibly winced, coughing. "They...they're dead..."

"WHAT?!"

"Fell got trapped by falling ceiling...and Sci refused to leave him...the explosion would have killed them..." He mumbled, groaning as he sat up.

"So they effectively sacrificed themselves for us...?" Lust muttered, clutching onto Horror with one hand, the other hugging Desire to his chest.

"Yeah..." Gradient muttered. "B-But at least it was for a good cause...X is now dead..."

No sooner than he'd said those words, the sound of shifting rubble rang out, causing us all to whip around, staring wide eyed as something burst from the flaming rubble, their face twisted and contorted, bleeding and ripped.
