---Incubux's POV----

We all watched in horror as our parents were flung across the room into a small black opening before disappearing.

"G-GIVE THEM BACK!" I yelled, hissing as X grinned at us.

"I'm afraid I can't do that, grandson~" X purred, looking us up and down. "You're here for my well being of course~ Good kids always give to their grandparents when they're in need~"

"You're no father to Cross!" I yelled, backing up with Eph in my arms. "And you're certainly no grandfather to us you monster!"

"Monster~? I like that title~ But I must say, don't you think it would fit your father better~?" He cackled, looking over all of us.

"Leave our family alone!"

"Nah~" He grinned, suddenly lashing out and grabbing Chara, lifting him up as he kicked and screamed. "Hello, son~"

"Let me go!" Chara hissed desperately, gasping in pain as X's invisible hold on him tightened significantly.

X hummed happily, floating up over to the hole he'd thrown out parents through, grinning as he looked in at them.

We watched in horror as he let out a little giggle, waving at them as he grinned. "Say goodbye to your children~"

The sound of someone yelling in protest rang out, but X shut the opening with a click of his fingers, laughing.

"Oh my, the things people will do for family~" He looked at Chara, grinning. "This is why I taught you that love is the most despicable thing in the world. Once you fall in love, you're weakness are multiplied infinite times."

Chara hissed weakly, his movements turning twitchy and jerky as his body slowly started being crushed by X's grip. "Y-You don't know sh-shit."

X chuckled, suddenly looking right at me. "Oh but I do~ Example one. Cross used to be quite the obedient assassin before he escaped the asylum. Your father made him weak, and in return, Cross made him weaker."

"SHUT UP!" I yelled, summoning bone attacks by my side. "YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT OUR FAMILY!"

"Oh but I do~" He whispered, grinning. "Nightmare was so strong before Cross came along. He was a ruthless murderer, emotionless. Now look at him. Pathetic."

I growled, throwing my bone attack at him. "SHUT UP!"

He dodged it simply, smirking. "Oh you've got some fight in you. I wonder how tasty you'd be~"

"Quite bitter." I hissed, signalling for Moonlight to take Eph from me and stay back with Noah.

"Oh yeah, we'd be horrible." NiXss growled, stepping up by my side. "Like gone off, mouldy bread."

X cackled. "I like your humour. But beggars can't be choosers when it comes to what they eat~!"

He lunged forwards suddenly, flinging corrupted black bone attacks at us without warning.

"LOOK OUT!" Gradient yelled, jumping in front of us with Pj before both of them formed blasters, firing them at the incoming bones.

The blasts disintegrated the bones immediately, but didn't hit X as he simply stepped to the side.

"Oh so you've been trained to fight, hm~?"

"Of course we have!" Gradient hissed, glancing momentarily at the weakly struggling figure of Chara held in X's invisible grip. "Our parents aren't stupid!"

"Oh but they are~" X whispered, slowly advancing on us. "They've dragged you into this mess, haven't they~?"

"No." Pj growled. "You've dragged us into this mess. They're just trying to protect us!"

"Oh and they're doing an amazing job, aren't they?" He cackled, looking to his side as Chara went limp suddenly, his body looking lifeless.

"Let him go!" Sprinkle yelled innocently, looking terrified, but also determined.

X ignored him completely, tilting his head to the side as he looked at Chara. "Don't tell me you've already died on me Chara. I thought I made you better than that."

He didn't respond, his hair flopping in front of his face as he stayed limp in X's grasp.

"Move you little shit!" X hissed, shaking him.

"HEY YOU!"

We all whipped around to see that girl running full speed towards X, the pink blob previously flying by her side morphing onto her arm into a type of long, pink blade.

She jumped up, swinging around before slicing the blade right through X's chest.

He let out a glitched scream of pain, the invisible hand holding Chara releasing as he clutched his chest, swearing and hissing in pain.

Chara's limp body fell, looking like it was going to slam into the floor roughly within seconds.

Betty narrowed her eyes, sprinting over to his falling body as fast as possible before jumping up, catching him before he could hit the floor.

X fell to the ground, clutching his bleeding chest while hissing incoherent nonsense.

"RUN!!" The girl yelled, clutching Chara's unconscious body to her chest as she sprinted past us.

We all scrambled after her, watching as the pink knife melted off of her arm and stabbed into one of the locked up doors, crashing them open for us.

I grabbed onto Noah, pulling him along after me as NiXss took Eph from Moonlight and dragged the two of them along as well.

Gradient and Pj helped along Sprinkle, grabbing onto his hand and tugging him after them as they ran. Desire ran with them as well.

Goth and Pallet stuck together with Raven, firing a wall of bones at X behind them before we slammed the doors shut behind us.

"W-We need to keep going!" Betty panted, looking down at Chara and brushing some of the hair out of his face. "That wound won't keep X back for long."

I nodded, quickly checking that we had everyone and hadn't managed to leave some poor child behind. "O-Okay, we're all here. Lets go."

Betty nodded, looking at the pink blob. "Kumu, lead the way."

The pink thing seemed to nod, glancing around before flying off down the corridor, us following close behind.

We didn't run, but we didn't walk, sticking to a fast stride as we tried to get as far away from the room X was in as possible.

I glanced at Chara's unconscious body in Betty's arms, narrowing my eyes. "Isn't he heavy?"

Betty shook her head, sighing as she looked down at him. "Believe it or not, he's extremely light. Worryingly light."

"Cross is like that as well, unhealthily light. But then again, he is as quote by Nightmare, 'Naturally Smol'."

She snorted, nodding. "I see what you mean. But anyway, onto the more important topic of finding all your parents now."

"Oh yeah, good point." I muttered, glancing behind us quickly to make sure we hadn't suddenly lost a kid. "So do you know where we're going?"

"Nope." She said, glancing around. "The only person with us that knows anything about this place is currently unconscious in my arms."

"Or dead..." I muttered, looking down at Chara once more as we walked.

"No. I checked that he was still breathing earlier." She mumbled, looking down at the white haired ghost child with a look of almost affection.

I smirked slightly, but kept my focus on where we were going.

At some point the pink blob leading the way paused, glancing back at us before flying down a flight of the second most creepy ominous stairs I've ever seen. The creepiest are the ones down to the mansion basement.

"Oh this looks fun." I muttered dryly, walking down to the bottom before leaning against the doors.

Locked.

"Kumu." Betty called, indicating towards the door before glancing at me. "He says he senses people in there."

"Good people?"

"I dunno. I guess we're gonna find out."

The pink blob, or Kumu, as she calls it, rammed into the door, splitting open the lock and swinging the wooden frame off of its hinges.

"Well that worked." I muttered, checking once more that all the kids were with us before we walked into the room.

As soon as we did, we froze.

The room was full of all sorts of scientific stuff. But we all ignored that quickly, focusing on the corner of the room.

There was a large cage there, and someone was in it, pressed up against the bars as they looked at us with wide eyes.

And stood next to them outside of the cage was someone else. The also looked terrified, looking at us with shock and fear written all over their face.

I coughed, stepping forwards. "We're taking over."
