Missing Home
Ahahahha I completely haven't abandoned Scifell for like 30 chapters--
And lmao this isn't Halloween related sorry--
---Fell's POV----
I leaned against the bars of my cage, rubbing my arm as I watched Sci furiously scribbling down on a piece of paper, his hand moving so fast that I you wouldn't think anyone would be able to read his writing.
Sighing softly, I picked at some of the rust growing on the thin bars of my cell. I've been in here for so long that the most interesting thing that I can do is stare dully at all the slowly growing rust that winds around the bars.
"O-Okay I'm done..." Sci mumbled, dropping his pen onto the desk as he folded up the note, quickly sliding it into an envelope.
"What were you doing?" I asked, sitting up further as I pressed against the bars of my cell.
"Writing a letter..." He mumbled, pushing back his chair and standing up. "A letter that can hopefully save us from X in the most selfish way possible..."
I frowned, noting how serious he sounded. "What's it about...?"
"It gives the location to this place. X's main lab. With this information the guys will most certainly come here with the hopes of battling, and finally defeating X. If they come here, they could find us and break us free...but I guarantee that we won't all make it out of here alive...people will die because of this letter, Fell. Innocent people..." He walked over to me, his expression broken and lifeless. Nothing like the happy face of the nerd I fell in love with.
"D-Do you really think you should do it then...?" I asked, reaching a hand out through the bars to grasp his shaking one. "I mean, X will definitely get one of their kids eventually, then he'll let us free. Right?"
Sci flinched, looking away. "That's what I'm worried about... After all...X isn't really the type of guy to keep promises like that... Do you really think he'd stand by on what he said once he gains that power?"
"No..." I mumbled, looking down.
He'd abuse that power, make up more tasks we have to complete before he'll 'let us free'... It'll never end Fell if we keep doing it this way...not for us... We need to take matters into our own hands..."
"B-But if X finds out it was you he'll kill you!" I protested, looking up at him with worried eyes.
Sci smiled weakly down at me, letting out a weak chuckle. "After all he's done to us? I think death would be a pleasant surprise..."
"Please don't talk like that..." I whispered, gripping onto my hand tighter. "W-We promised of getting out of here together, remember? H-Hand in hand. A-And then we could start a family, finally relax, w-we'd never have to deal with X again!"
"But the memories of what he's done would still haunt us..." Sci muttered, sighing as he closed his eyes.
"We'll block them out...I promise..."
Sci smiled weakly, sitting down in front of my cell. "You always help get rid of the bad thoughts Fell..."
I laughed softly, squeezing his hand softly. "I'll do anything to see you smile again..."
Sci giggled as I kissed his hand, bowing in a sitting position. "Your beautiful majesty~"
He blushed, smirking slightly. "Hello my handsome servant~"
"What orders do you have for me today~?"
Sci giggled, leaning closer to me so that our noses brushed against each other slightly. "Maybe a kiss~?"
I chuckled, pulling him closer so that we were both pressed against the bars as our mouths connected in a sweet, gentle kiss.
Sci purred happily, one had gripping onto the bars of my cage while the other clung to my hand tightly, squeezing it every so often.
I squeezed his hand back, smirking as I closed my eyes, melting into the feeling. If I thought hard enough, I could imagine that I wasn't held back by these bars. I could imagine that the two of us were back at home, snuggled up together on a sofa downstairs, with a cheesy romance film playing in the background. I willed for that so hard, that when I opened my eyes, I actually expected to see our old cosy living room. But instead I was greeted by the sight of the lab in the background. Not the TV.
Sci pulled back, blushing slightly as he sighed. "I know...I want to bs back at home as well...cuddled up in bed...or on the sofa downstairs watching some of those horrible shows you love."
"Hey they're not horrible!" I protested, nudging him playfully. "I bet you secretly like them."
"Pff you wish." Sci snickered, rolling his eyes.
I huffed, smirking. "Well at least my shows weren't as bad as your horrible science quiz shows you'd force me to watch. You'd just get triggered when people answered the questions wrong because obviously you knew all the answers."
"But I did know all the answers!"
I laughed, kissing his cheek. "I know you did Sci, I know you did."
"What's the one thing you miss most about home...?" Sci whispered, rubbing his thumb over the palm of my hand.
I went silent, thinking for a bit. "I think it's got to be snuggling up in bed with you before we go to sleep and when we wake up together."
Sci blushed, nodding. "I miss that as well..."
"Going to sleep with you curled up in my arms, seeming as content and limp as possible. But as soon as it turned morning you'd be flung across half the bed like a starfish, having rejected me in the night."
Sci whined, pouting. "I never abandoned you! I just move a lot in my sleep!"
"You'd think a hurricane had hit the room when you wake up." I snickered, booping him on the nose. "You'd have even tugged all the blankets off and have them either thrown half way across the room, or tangled around you in a twisting mess."
He whined, shaking his head. "Nuuu..."
I laughed, kissing his cheek. "I love you Sci, my little nerd~"
"I love you too Fell, my edgy teen~"
"But I'm not a teenager anymore!"
Sci shrugged, smirking as he stood up. "Oh well. You act like one."
"Oh I'm flattered." I muttered, rolling my eyes as I flopped back onto the hard floor of my cage, humming. "Anyways, how are you gonna get that letter to them? Do you even know where they are?"
"...They're at Serenity..." He muttered, wincing.
I blinked, looking up at him. "The place where you made Nightmare into a goopy monster?"
He nodded stiffly, looking guilty. "A-And X got Cross..."
"The psycho knife guy?"
"Yeah..."
I whistled, getting comfy. "Damn Nightmares gonna go ballistic."
"He already has. Now all it will take is for X to hurt Cross enough that Nightmare will feel it. They have a soul connection."
I sat up, blinking. "Soul connection? Really? I want one of those!"
"We're not about to have this conversation again Fell."
"Meanie..." I muttered, flopping back down on my side. "Who else has a soul connection in their group?"
"I'm pretty sure Ink and Error do. They're extremely dedicated to each other..."
I hummed in agreement, watching as he stretched. "So you gonna go off and 'post' them that letter?"
Sci rolled his eyes, nodding. "Love you babe."
"Love you too!" I called, watching as he disappeared into thin air, leaving me all alone.
I hate it when he's not here...
And damn it I want McDonalds.
