---Killer's POV----

We all froze as we entered Geno and Reaper's living room. None of us said anything for a moment, just staring in confusion at the three people sat on the sofa in front of us.

Two of them were definitely Geno and Reaper's kids. That much was clear.

One of them was wearing what looked like a white version of Reaper's cloak, but in more of like a hoodie style. They had only one working eye-light that was snow white. They also had what looked like a copy of Geno's scarf wrapped around their neck, but this one seemed in better condition.

The other one was wearing slightly similar clothes, white hoodie and black trousers. He had two working eye-lights, and was the very image of his father, Reaper. No doubting that he was his son.

But then in between the two of them, smiling nervously at all of us, was someone else.

They were a grubby looking skeleton, covered in mud stains and black soot. Their clothes looked like they might have once been white, but dust and dirt had stained them a dull grey long ago. They wore a faded scarf, in a similar style to Inks, but this one seemed to be all kinds of pastel colours, not the infamous gradiented beige that Ink has.

"Who-" Reaper started, glaring at the kid. "-the fuck are you?!"

The kid opened his mouth, but no proper coherent words came out, just a stuttering mess. "O-Oh-- I-I-- Y-You--"

"He's a friend!" One of the kids, who I believe is called Goth, blurted suddenly, getting up and standing in front of the kid protectively. "I-I let him in!"

Reaper growled softly, but lowered the scythe he had summoned by his side. "Goth, what have we told you about letting strangers into the house?"

"H-He's not a stranger..." Goth mumbled weakly, looking back at his friend. "H-He saved me..."

"S-Saved you?!" Geno stuttered, suddenly looking scared. "F-From what?!"

"J-Just some bad men...don't worry, it wasn't that creepy guy you warned us about...P-Palette here dragged me away when they went to attack me and took me somewhere safe to hide for a bit before bringing me back here..."

The kid named Palette nodded, eyeing Geno and Reaper warily as if they'd attack or stab him suddenly.

Geno let out a loud, defeated sigh, rubbing his eye socket tiredly. "Alright...as long as you're safe and you're sure he's not dangerous..."

"I'm sure." Goth said confidently before looking at his brother. "He hasn't done anything bad, has he Raven?"

Raven shook his head slowly, confirming what Goth had said. But it was clear that just like his parents, he was wary of this 'Palette kid'.

Goth smiled weakly before sitting back down next to Palette, who smiled gratefully at him in return.

"Thanks..." He muttered, looking down at his hands. "I didn't think you'd stick up for me..."

"Why not?" Goth asked, blinking softly.

"No one ever does..." He whispered, sighing.

"Well I will." Goth said determinedly before hugging him.

Palette yelped in surprise at Goths action, but quickly hugged back, a light blush dusting over his cheeks. "Th-Thanks Gothy..."

Goth's face turned slightly purple at Palettes nickname for him, but that soon died down as Geno and Reaper coughed loudly.

"I'm loving how cute this is." Reaper muttered, sitting down on the sofa opposite them. "But we've got a serious matter to deal with."

Goth blinked before suddenly trying to process something. "W-Wait--" He looked at Geno, his eyes widening. "Y-You-- YOU BROKE HIM OUT?!"

"You're always the last person to realise things Goth..." Raven muttered, rolling his eyes. "He's been here for a good five minutes now. If you weren't so busy making out with your new friend maybe you would have noticed earlier."

"WE WEREN'T MAKING OUT!" Both Goth and Palette screeched, throwing a cushion at Raven.

I snickered, glancing down at my friend to see what he thought of this whole situation. I shouldn't have even bothered.

He was doing the usual, staring at Nightmare as if he was that long lost relative he's been searching for in all these past years.

"Stop staring at him." I huffed, nudging him. "You're making me jealous."

He jolted, looking up at me in surprise. "J-Jealous?"

"Mmhm." I smirked slightly. "I want you to stare at me like I'm the most fascinating thing you've ever seen in the whole world. Not him."

"I-I--"

"Killer if you're going to aggressively make out with him suddenly then just hurry up and do it--"

I jolted, looking up to see that practically everyone was staring at the two of us, wide smirks on their faces. "Wh-Wha--?! I-I wasn't--"

Immediately they all burst out laughing, shaking their heads. "Oh Killer. You really need a lover in your life."

I groaned, burying my face in my hands as my face flushed from both flusteredness and embarrassment. "I hate all of you guys..."

"Nah you love us really." Dust said, smirking.

"No, I really don't." I muttered, glaring witheringly at him.

"I would say that you've deeply offended me, but I was expecting that answer." Dust said, rubbing the top of Blue's skull.

"Whatever..."

A cough rang out through the room and I looked over to see Gradient looking at all of us, clearly not impressed. "I'm loving all this couple shaming right now, but we have more important matters to deal with."

We all immediately nodded, seeming to become a little more organised.

"Well what are we doing next if we have everyone in the gang back together?" I asked, not really seeing what we could do next to benefit us.

"We find X's base." Gradient said simply. "If we find his base, we find him. If we find him, we kill him. If we kill him, we're all free."

I huffed, still finding it unfair that I was being dragged into all this when I don't even have any kids. And as far as I've planned, I'm not gonna be having kids with anybody, any time soon.

Gradient spoke up again, pulling out his laptop from the little rucksack he always carries around with him. "I might know where he could be...but it's just a hunch."

"We're listening."

"Well...he has multiple bases...one of them being right here in Craitown. But that's only his rehabilitation base...where he heals up and plans things...his main two bases are somewhere else..."

"And I'm sure you know where those are..." I muttered, starting to grow slightly suspicious over how this kid seemed to always know absolutely everything. This can't just be down to him being stupidly smart, can it?

"I might." Gradient said, a slightly unsure tone to his voice. "I don't know where his main base is...but I have a feeling that one of the others is in the old ruins of the lab that got destroyed ages ago in Serenity..." He glanced at Nightmare as he talked, seeming to place his words carefully.

Nightmare growled softly, seeming to stiffen up slightly. Serenity. That's the place where Sci experimented on him. Where he turned him into a monster. Into what he is today. Sure he's mellowed down a bit, but those memories are still as fresh as anything in his mind.

"So is that where we're going next?" He growled, narrowing his eye.

Gradient stood up, adjusting his glasses before inhaling sharply. "Yes."
