---Geno's POV----

It took me an hour to get home. It should have taken twenty minutes,  but I was still in an almost state of shock, gripping onto my scarf tightly.

The scarf used to belong to my brother...Papyrus...but he was murdered one day...he was the part of the massacre I was caught up in, the only survivor. As for Papyrus, only his scarf was left. I've kept it ever since.

Sure twenty years of wearing it through all my criminal activities has ripped it and worn it down, but I've always taken so much care with it. And now some fuckers gone and ripped a chunk off of it.

I slowly walked down Oakley road, flinching at anyone that walked past me. I'm pretty sure no one would lunge for me suddenly without reason, but I was on edge, practically shaking.

Stopping in front of the door, I knocked timidly before remembering that Reaper was out and that I had keys.

But then to my surprise, Reaper opened the door. And he did not look happy.

"R-Reaper? You're back already? Is everything okay?"

"No Geno. It isn't." He muttered, pulling me into the house before shutting the door behind us.

"Why? What happened? A-And where are the kids?"

He placed a finger over my 'lips', yelling me to shh. "The kids are upstairs hiding, they came back about ten minutes ago."

"But why are you here?" I hissed as Reaper pulled me along to the living room, making a pit in my non-existent stomach start to form.

"Because-" He dragged me into the living room and froze, going stiff at the sight of two police officers. The same two that confirmed my release, but supposedly without the little one. "-These guys dragged me here from work because of something you've done."

"I-I've done? B-But I haven't done anything!"

Reaper gave me such an untrusting look that I froze. "R-Reaper...I-I haven't..."

The cop I remember as Xcellence clicked his fingers and we both walked over, the pit in my 'stomach' only growing worse by the second.

"Geno." He said, making me jolt slightly. "Where were you an hour ago?"

"I-I went for a walk, seeing as I'm free and all that now."

"You won't be free for much longer once we cover what's just happened."

I blinked, taking a small step back. "What?!"

The other one, Marvul took out a photo and dropped it on the coffee table in front of the sofa.

I tilted my head to the side, frowning. It was a picture of a crime scene. There was a human man splayed out on the floor of an alleyway, blood pooling around him and soaking his clothes.

"And I'm looking at this...why?"

Xcellence gave me a hard look before pulling out something in one of those see-though wallets that stereotypical police use at crime scenes. "This was found clutched in the victims hand."

As soon as I saw what it was time seemed to freeze. My eye widened and I choked on air.

It was the torn chunk of my scarf.

"Th-That wasn't me! Th-This is a set up! I've been framed! Some other skeleton ripped some of my scarf off earlier! He's framed me!"

Reaper glanced at me, his expression pained. "Geno wouldn't kill someone on his first day free. I've been stuck with him for fifteen years, trust me."

Marvul hummed, leaning back and against Xcellence. "We know you'd have no reason to betray us or lie for him, Reaper. Buuutttt...we have a witness...Geno isn't who you thought he was..."

"Who the fuck is your witness?!" I hissed. Deep inside, I already knew who they'd say.

Xcellence slid a picture onto the table of the very guy that ripped off my scarf. The nerdy looking skeleton. "They said they saw you stab the victim in the back before slitting their neck, which matches up with the body assessment perfectly."

"He's framed me!" I yelled. "I'm telling the truth I swear!"

Marvul snorted, resting his head on Xcellence's shoulder. "No offence, Geno. But we're more likely to believe an innocent civilian over a dangerous criminal."

I wanted to slap the smug look off of his face, but I restrained myself, growling instead.

Xcellence sighed, blushing lightly as he nudged Marvul off of his shoulder. As soon as he looked at me his expression turned serious again. "You may well be telling the truth, Geno. But for now we'll have to take you to prison until we can confirm your innocence or not."

"Oh, so I just stay here?" I asked hopefully. "Your chief sentenced me here instead of prison because of my...fragile state."

Marvul laughed, pulling himself and Xcellence to his feet. "Nah mate. If you can brutally murder someone, you can last in prison."

I froze, stumbling back. "B-But--"

"No buts."

Suddenly a pair of magic restraint handcuffs locked around my wrists, making me jolt. "N-No!"

The two of them dragged me outside to where a police car that I hadn't managed to see earlier was waiting.

They pushed me in and got in as well. Thankfully Reaper came as well, his body stiff and rigid. The two of us were in shock.

None of us talked on the way to the police station. I felt like all the words had been crushed in my throat before I had a chance to force them out of my mouth.

Once we were there I was dragged out, being yanked across the prison grounds to the giant formidable building that I hoped I'd never have to go into ever again.

The pulled me along through the main reception and all the way to the criminal cells. It seemed they were all having lunch at the moment, because a lot of noise was coming from the big room behind some double doors labelled. 'Food Hall'.

I was pushed past it, taken to Block C of cells.

An empty cell near the beginning of the rows was to be my one. I walked in slowly, flinching at the sound of the iron bars slamming shut.

"Enjoy your stay!" Marvul called mockingly before being dragged off by Xcellence.

Silence filled the room for a moment before a voice rang out.

"Geno..."

I turned around, seeing Reaper. "R-Reaper...I-I don't know how to prove..."

He silenced me, smiling weakly as he gripped onto my hands through the bars. "You don't have to prove anything to me, Gen. I'll figure this out, okay?"

I nodded softly, gently nudging him back. "Tell the kids what happened...and maybe if you can find them...tell Error what's happened if you see him."

Reaper nodded, turning and walking away. "I will Geno...I will..."

---Sci's POV----

I felt physically sick.

I'd slaughtered an innocent man for nothing other than someone's selfish needs. I felt like a proper monster.

I could sense Fell trying to hug me through the bars of his cage, but I didn't really react, my mind in to much of a mess to listen to what he was saying.

"Sci this wasn't your fault!"

Yes it was...

"You didn't have a choice!"

Yes I did...

"Can you hear me?!"

Not really...all your words are being blocked out...

The two of us jolted and looked up as Gaster walked into the room, a wide grin on his face.

"Aww~ How cute~"

Fell gripped onto me protectively, hissing. "Leave us alone."

Gaster laughed, stopping in front of us. "Don't you worry, I'm going to be gone for a little bit, so you two can catch up~"

"Wh-Where are you going?" I stuttered.

He cackled, his eyes shining dangerously. "Children hunting~"
