THIRTY: ANOTHER LOCATION

SOUJIN POV

"Jungkook?" I said, and Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck as he looked at my eyes.

"I felt like I couldn't sleep with Yeonjun. The others snore so I can't sleep there too. But it's alright if you're not comfortable. I can sleep in the living room," Jungkook said and I sighed as I looked around.

"I don't want you freezing in the living room. The couch isn't really a good place to sleep in," I said as I looked at the reclining chair next to me. Those ones that looked like VIP movie chairs.

"You can spend the night here. I don't mind at all," I said and Jungkook nodded before going to the farthest place from me.

"It's just that.... I didn't really like the guy. I don't know, but I couldn't sleep with him around," he said as he placed his pillow there.

"Jungkook... can I ask a question?" I asked and Jungkook hummed in approval.

"Why would you want me to be your attorney? What makes you think that I can solve your case?" I sighed, and Jungkook sat down before looking at me.

"I don't know. There's something about you, that I can't read. I usually know what people can do, if they're bad and good from their gestures and tones, but you.... you're unreadable, you're not a bad person that I can keep my guard up 24/7," he replied.

"But... I'm a rookie. I never really handles any dispute cases, this is my first official one. I'm pretty anxious a lot," I replied.

"Who knows.... I don't want to disappoint you, also because of the people around me. I want to become stronger, and better. But sometimes, I don't know which direction I'm going, or what kind of future awaits me," I replied and Jungkook tilted his head.

"I think you're doing great," Jungkook blurted out before looking down.

"To become stronger and better is just something that happens overtime. What's better is taking care of yourself. I know you're working hard, so don't look down on yourself," Jungkook said.

"Really? Because to be honest, I'm scared. I'm scared of SAN. He's the biggest CEO in South Korea and I'm just a rookie attorney, I don't know how to bring this to light," I said, and Jungkook smiled.

"You know what's great about you?" He replied, and I stared at him as he fiddled with his hands.

"You don't know it. But you're strong, logical, and... you always try help others and put them above you. Even in life-death situations, you're still thinking about others. You're selfless... and you're smart, and I bet you study hard back when you're a student. So don't feel discouraged. You've come a long way and we're here now," Jungkook ranted off, and I felt something bubble in my stomach before looking away, the air feeling a bit hot.

JUNGKOOK POV

Oh no.

Why did you say that, you stupid, piece of shit.

Taehyung was right when he said I was a dumbass.

I bit my lip as I looked up quickly, and her cheeks were red, she stayed silent and I looked away from her before clearing my throat, blood rushing to my ears.

"I-I mean. That's why you're so great because you're a brave attorney, and all attorneys need to be brave, right? I-I should uh... like to clarify that, or do you want me to leave?" I said rapidly and Soujin shook her head.

"Thank you. I'm actually... quite flattered. It makes me more motivated to clear your case, Jungkook. You're nothing like what the press describes," she said and I tilted my head in curiosity.

"What do they describe about me?" I ask.

"They say you're a heartless killer with no remorse for those people you've dealt with. But, you're not. You're cold on the outside, but you care in the inside," she says, and when she said those words I felt my heart running a marathon for no reason at all.

"I-I uh... I don't know what to say. I'm... not like that.. it's just... I'm kind of sleepy right now," I laughed, trying to stop the conversation early before I get to say something I'm not supposed to say.

"Go ahead, we need to go to bed since we have to go tomorrow," she smiled as she pulled the covers over her, and I pulled the blanket over my body before facing the wall.

Somehow, everything... felt very fuzzy. Like I couldn't stop feeling giddy inside.

I should seriously get myself medicated.

SOUJIN POV

"Well, well... what do we have here? A sneaky little shit, and a sleeping beauty," a voice said and my eyes slowly opened to meet a face staring right at me.

"AGH!" I yelled as I jumped up, only to see a black-haired man with his hands on his hips.

"I bet you both were getting into something last night because Jungkook sure looks like a tomato right now," Jimin said as he stared at the man at the far end, and Jungkook grumbled.

"You're getting wrong ideas you bastard! I'd never do such a thing!" Jungkook retorted and Jimin snorted.

"Since when were you such a respectful gentleman? I mean, this is the first time you-" Jimin trailed off.

"Shut up," Jungkook said before standing up, and walking straight outside the room.

"Hyebin and Jongseong were in the basement by the way, they came up for breakfast and you should too!" Jimin smiled as I stretched my arms.

"Yeah sure, I'll go ahead too, but nothing happened between me and Jungkook last night in case you're being nosy," I replied and Jimin crossed his arms.

"I know Jungkook isn't really that kind of guy so don't worry Ms. Pretty Attorney! Unless...," Jimin muttered before walking out the room, and I sighed as I followed him.

There's no use explaining now.

"Yuuri's gone downstairs and Yawnbum is making some good pancakes! Never knew random attorney can cook so good!" Jimin said and Yeonjun cocked a brow.

"Who in heck's name is Yawnbum? It's Yeonjun! How many times do I have to tell you?" Yeonjun sighed as he flipped the pancake and Taehyung crossed his arms as he stared at the wall.

"I'm not looking nor smelling at pleasant things until sweet Yuuri arrives, this is betrayal," Taehyung said as he sat on the couch in his pajamas.

"Look at you being a pursing suitor, Yuuri isn't accepting lovers at the moment," Yeonjun said as he brushed his apron and Hoseok wrapped his arm around his shoulder.

"Boy and are you cranky, did someone steal your underwear or something?" Hoseok said and Yeonjun rolled his eyes.

"I mean I do know something interesting happened. Jungkook literally disappeared from Yeonjun's room, I wonder why?" Yoongi said and directed his gaze to me, in which I ignored.

"Woah, our Ggukie leader is being a man now! I feel so proud and old!" Taehyung said as he wiped a nonexistent tear from his face.

"Oh shut the heck up," Jungkook stood up as he sat beside Jongseong who was beside Hyebin on the couch.

"I'll go to Yuuri, you guys enjoy your breakfast," I said as I walked out of the door, and they resumed their meals.

I just realized how loaded Ms. Yuuri could be. She has a private office, a pool, a greenhouse, and she even has an area for her hobbies. She even has her own library and achievements room which stored all her law-related resumés.

As expected from the number 1 attorney with a 99.0% win rate.

I walked into the sports area where I heard noises in the quiet place. And my eyes diverted to a figure in a camouflaged jacket. Hands holding a gun, before aiming at the moving target.

Bullseye! The person looked behind them before smiling at me.

"Soujin! Good morning! Arem't you supposed to be having breakfast with the group?" She asked as she loaded the ammo in her rifle.

"Woah! Good morning Ms. Yuuri! You should eat too!" I replied and she sighed.

"I'll get some later, all of you should eat well," she said before preparing herself by shielding her eyes and positioning herself.

"I didn't know you do shooting," I said in awe.

"I've been doing it for years, it's a good exercise for me, I also do taekwondo as a self-defense hobby," she said and I was watching and staring at how cool she looked.

"You wanna try shooting too?" She asked, and my eyes sparkled as I stood straight and smiled at her.

"Please teach me how to shoot too!"
