FIFTY FIVE: PROTECTOR OF CHILDREN

SOUJIN POV

"What do you mean you were a part of San's family?" Yoongi asked and Soujin looked at the files.

"Now that I do mention it... Namsan did say last time about Yeonjun being a san but what made him a Yeonjun, and not a Yeonsan?" I asked and Yeonjun sighed.

"My biological father came into an agreement with my new father and another person that he can't disclose. It was about me being handed over to him for power and money, didn't know they had the guts to even give their own son up," Yeonjun sighed and Taehyung nodded.

"So this person here.... is your father, Big Brother I pressume. But what is he doing in SAN related affairs? Is he related to LIVV? It must be, Yuuri was the one who compiled these," I said and Yeonjun looked at the files.

"It's better we talk to Sunghyo. Because he... was the mastermind between the orphan smuggling case and... I saw Big Brother at the club too, they're probably connected," I said.

"Big Brother was allegedly dealing kids for his personal pleasure. I didn't want to believe or disclose it because of Yeonjun. But I have no choice," I said and Taehyung looked at her.

"Soujin, you can use the film tapes Yoongi hyung took as evidence too. It's crucial!" Taehyung said, and I sighed as she looked down at the tapes she held close with her.

"Right, now... we must get going. Although, I won't be showing Sunghyo the tapes for many reasons, because this is about the child trafficking, and not the LIVV drug," I replied.

"Taehyung, you're leaving?" Seoyoung asked, and Taehyung nodded.

"Off to the police station, noona! We're gonna get some clues," Taehyung replied as Hyebin and Jongseong were following them.

"Oh, the police station... how about you guys stay for the night after all that? It's closer to the city from here, and Yuuri lives in a private area," Seoyoung smiled, and Taehyung looked ay the group.

"We'll stay," Jungkook smiled, and Seoyoung nodded.

"Alright, you guys stay safe. And if you get caught, I'm not paying bail," Seoyoung said, and Taehyung chuckled softly as they waved her goodbye.

"I'm not talking to stupid people like you," Sunghyo said as he stared at the two figures infront of him.

"I brought in the ex-kpop idol ZIKE to you guys, please tell me anything as it could be part of the testing. We also recieved some reports from Sunghyo's newborn child. Apparently, Sunghyo's alleged girlfriend was injected with an unknown drug before getting killed. Is this the LIVV you are speaking of?" Yugyeom asked.

"Yes, but me and Yeonjun are still getting more evidence that proves SAN being tangled with LIVV. It appears they have been using this on orphans," I said, and Yugyeom nodded.

As Yugyeom left the interrogation room, I pulled something out of my pocket before pressing the start button.

"You'll find nothing here. LIVV is a special drug found in a top secret building which is obviously not going to be listed something public here, your work came here for nothing,"

"A voice recording? You've been voice recording all that?" Yeonjun asked, and I flashed a smile towards him.

"When I said we're finding new evidence, I meant this. I've recorded some of the lines from the recording tapes, just cutting off any mention of Taehyung's name, but it is enough to get the sufficient evidence we need," I said and Yeonjun rubbed his neck.

"That's actually pretty genius. That's probably from when we first met Namsan, right?" He asked and I nodded.

"What are you two blabbering about? What is Namsan's voice doing there?" Sunghyo glared, and Yeonjun sighed.

"Sunghyo, you've been involved in child trafficking allegations. I saw the evaluation you got from the psychologist, and you were mentally aware that you knew what you were doing. So before you even say that you didn't do anything, let me just make this clear," I said, and Sunghyo sighed.

"Now that I mention it. I should be against SAN too knowing they clowned me, and I thought San was my bestfriend," Sunghyo groaned.

"But that doesn't mean I'm gonna be on your side! You guys are also the reason why I ended up here, and Hoseok... that snitchy bastard," Sunghyo muttered.

"Because of you, my reputation is ruined. And to thought that being an idol would give me an advantage to hiding all this," Sunghyo sighed.

"Weren't you worried about your reputation. Then congratulations, you don't have to now that you have a huge reputation popularity from being an idol to a prisoner," I replied, and Sunghyo rolled his eyes.

"Listen, San has turned a blind eye on you, and you still want acknowledge the fact you took away numerous children who had dreams," I said as I took out a paper.

"Namsan, you were also working with him aside from San, haven't you?" I asked, and Sunghyo sighed before nodding.

"Aside from the orphans being sent to SAN, where do you get such a huge population of kids from? And to top that off, they don't have any official birth certificate," I explained, and Sunghyo sighed.

"Listen, Ms. Attorney. I know you're curious and all, but I'm not the mastermind of all those kids. I'm just a pawn, I know little of these drug thingies the police told me about. But, I'm in it for the money only, there's someone who has been ordering me around," Sunghyo replied.

"And who might that be?" I asked.

"No can do, I'm not telling you, you think you're so high and mighty ordering me to speak huh? Well no, I'm here to just give you my side of the story, nothing else," he narrowed his eyes and I sighed.

"Sunghyo, will you continue this stubborn behavior? Showing this behavior while keeping an angelic facade on screen has to be one thing I'm sorry to your fans for thinking of you like that. In truth, you're nothing but someone who likes to purposely take children from their peace and put them in torment and torture into a money-hungry company!" I replied and I felt a warm hand on my back.

"Don't let him get to you, Soujin. He's hardheaded, but we'll crack into him easily," Yeonjun sighed.

"But to be honest, Sunghyo. You don't have to speak, all you have to do is nod your head, because you know him... don't you?" I asked as I showed him a piece of paper with a face plastered on it.

His eyes suddenly widened as he looked at me.

"Why would you ask me when you already know the answer?" Sunghyo replied, and I smirked.

"Bingo, thank you for confirming that it is him," I replied, and Sunghyo grumbled at me.

"You... you! You're such a scheming little-"

"This is Big Brother. The boss of the current largest underground gang aside from Bangtan. You know him, don't you?" I asked, and Sunghyo sighed.

"He's my boss, yup. He's the one behind those children being sold," Sunghyo sighed as he crossed his arms.

"But you know, Big Brother isn't afraid of being caught. He has backup, he's very sketchy, and I don't know how Namsan or San got in contact with a guy like him. Heard he's their father's friend," Sunghyo replied and Yeonjun nodded.

"Fine, thank you. But also, do you have any idea or any qualifications they need to be sent off the SAN?" Yeonjun asked, and Sunghyo groaned.

"I can't keep anything can I? They need to be under 9 years old and they need to be healthy," Sunghyo muttered and Yeonjun nodded.

"Lastly, do you know anything about someone.... like a guy named Kim Namjoon or someone named Jeon Jihoon or Kim Seokjin?" I asked.

"Kim Namjoon, I've heard. And those other two, I'm not sure," he replied.

"What about... Song Jaepil?" I asked. It doesn't hurt to ask for anything suspicious of him.

"CEO of Kyonghwan? He's been a bit quiet, but he's a friend of SAN I heard, but he's currently not being... let's say actively exposing his plans," Sunghyo replied and I nodded.

"Seems like we have all the information needed. Thank you for cooperating, Mr. Sunghyo," Yeonjun smiled and I nodded before bowing.

"Chief Officer, Yugyeom. We have these files, and this is a copy of one of the information on LIVV. We hope you can find and formulate legal results to be used in court," I smiled and Yugyeom nodded.

"Ms. Bae, Ms. Kang has cleared your name from us being suspicious of you as a suspect, and I can see you've come to be more like her in sorts. I hope you succeed," Yugyeom said and I bowed before thanking him.

"It's no problem, Mr. Kim. Let's both be in touch again," I replied.

"We're visiting my father tomorrow. I haven't been in contact with him for more than 10 years, but I hope he'd understand," Yeonjun sighed.

"Then get some sleep. It's nice that Seoyoung noona got us three spacious rooms to sleep in, and we'll draw lots," Yeonjun said and everyone agreed.

"Seriously, why?! Why do I have to share a room... with HIM?!" Yoongi grumbled, and Taehyung sighed.

"You're such a dramatic bitch. You snore in your sleep and I'm not complaining!" Taehyung argued.

"But your feet stink, and I'm stuck with Yoongi again...," Jimin said as he crossed his arms.

"Hear that, Jongseong? We'll be sharing a room again all to ourselves!" Hyebin smiled and Jongseong hugged her.

"Yay! Me and Hyebin noona are lucky!" Jongseong smiled, and I sighed.

"It's hard... when you have to share a room with these two," I sighed, and Yeonjun and Jungkook were staring at each other with crossed arms.

"You again?" Yeonjun muttered and Jungkook rolled his eyes.

"It doesn't matter. Just don't make Soujin uncomfty with you around," Jungkook replied.

"Me around?! You're the one obviously annoying Soujin with your twisted gang!" Yeonjun sighed and Yoongi scoffed.

"Alright boys, you're both pretty. Now stop making Soujin more stressed than she already is," Yoongi sighed.

"Something tells me that the three of them sharing a room is going to be fun," Jimin sighed.
