Next day

The day has arrived, Harsh was eagerly waiting for the play to begin. They were playing against Hyderabad, Team was already playoffs but to secure the first position in the points table the last two matches are very important for Mumbai Strikers. This is their last-second match, which they need to win at any cost. The captains are called for their toss. Ansh called it right and won the toss and decided to field with Harsh back in playing eleven.

Hyderabad batted good and scored 177 runs in 20overs. Its time for chasing and Mumbai’s openers started very well and scored 40odd runs powerplay, but they lost one wicket in the 7th over for 50runs, Ansh went in and played but another opener also got out in the 8th over and the score was 62 for 2 that’s when Harsh entered the stadium. the whole stadium started chanting his name, Harsh felt happy seeing people cheering him.

“Bhai, we need 115 runs in 12overs, we can do that, it’s your game bro, show it what you are capable of.” Ansh said.

Harsh nodded his head and took the strike, he started playing slowly at first after that he started hitting boundaries, even Ansh also joined him. They both had a partnership of 80runs in 9overs.score was 142-2 and they needed 34runs in 18balls. They scored 12 runs in the 17th over and Ansh scored a half century, the partnership was going very well but Ansh lost his in the first ball of 18th over. Ansh was disappointed for not finishing the match.

“It’s ok Ansh, we will win, don’t worry.” Harsh patted Ansh's shoulder, Ansh smiled and went to the dug-out and sat.

That’s when Nishan entered the stadium “22 runs from 11 balls it’s an easy win, once I get successful in my work, I will finish match easily.” Nishan thought and went to Non-striker's place.

Harsh went near Nishan “It’s an easy win, let’s finish the match.” Nishan nodded his head.

Harsh hit consecutive three fours and scored half-century also.

“Just 10runs needed from 8 balls, I can’t be able to complete the work given my Mr A if he plays like this.” Nishan went to Harsh “Congrats bro, give me strike I will also play some shots.” Nishan said.

Harsh nodded his head and the next ball he took a single run and Nishan went on strike, he sent a signal to Mr.A by counting fielding players on the Leg side.

Mr.A’s assistant who was watching the match, sent a message to Doctor to give money to Nishan when he comes to collect.

Next ball Nishan tried to run out Harsh but Harsh got lucky as he reached the non-strikers end fast.

“Didn’t you see the ball?” Harsh asked Nishan after the completion of over.

“Sorry” Nishan looked at fielding placement and said, “Bro let’s score from leg-side boundary there are a lot of gaps and give me the strike from the next ball, I know this bowler's variations very well.”

Harsh nodded his head and went to face the bowler, Nishan again gave hint by tieing his shoelace.

Mr.A's assistant just smiled “Poor boy doesn’t know how  to play.”

9 runs needed from 6 runs, before facing the ball, Harsh saw the fielding placements and saw a fielder in the leg-side boundary and saw the bowler, the same bowler who took Nishan’s wicket more than four times in international cricket. Sonia’s words came into his mind.

“There is a player, didn’t he notice that and he can’t play against this bowler, let’s don’t take risk” Harsh thought and the bowler bowled the ball and Harsh hit the six straight, again he hit the six in next ball and won the game. And Nishan couldn’t believe what just happened.

Harsh went to Nishan and asked, “Didn’t you see the fielding placements and the bowler.”

“There was no fielder when I saw and bowler, I thought Kine will bowl as his one over is dew.” Nishan said.

“Oh ok.” Harsh said but he was not that much convinced, that was visible in his eyes.

“Oh god, my cricketing career will be finished, Mr.A won’t leave me and even Harsh also have doubt on me, I think.” Nishan thought…..
