WELCOME TO KTC

KTC - short for KQ Training Centre - is a complex located on the island of Wonderland, just off the coast of Utopia district; it is a place where the best agents are recruited and trained. Established more than a hundred years ago, the legacy of producing competent agents has been dutifully carried out by multiple generations of the Bifidensis - a group of highly-committed and dedicated people looking only to release the best agents into the real world. These agents are trained with tight regulations, wherein anything deemed out of the line will result in immediate banishment from the facility.

Reality is always darker than fantasy.

In order to become a trainee, one must fulfil these three criteria:
1. Must not exceed the age of 18 at the time of recruitment.
2. Must not have any immediate family members left.
3. Must display exceptional skills in one of the three categories provided.

If any one of the criteria is not fulfilled, any prospective trainees may be considered to be picked up only by the agreement of all the board members of the Bifidensis.

Once a trainee is picked, they are not allowed to leave the island until it is time for their selected team to be released into the real world. During the training period, all communication with the outside world is highly forbidden to avoid any distractions. There is no turning back once they are branded a trainee at KTC, and their previous personal details will be wiped out from the public database; they will start anew. Since trainees are composed of those without a family or those without anyone else to depend on, the Bifidensis will provide them with everything so they can survive.

As the saying being passed around the facility states: We provide you with a life, you provide us with your lives.

What they have to do is give their loyalty to the Bifidensis, and they will.

A trainee, most of the time, is forced to become one, leaving them no choice but to obey the life provided by the Bifidensis. As soon as they are sent to the facility, they will be divided into the three main Aeons:
Akt: IT
Bax: Close-range attack
Myc: Long-range attack

Life at KTC is highly regulated; trainees are expected to follow every single rule set by the Bifidensis. One may only be recruited to one Aeon at a time, focusing on honing their skills with respect to their Aeons. Any additional skills out of the three will be evaluated and considered carefully by the Bifidensis. Trainees from different Aeons will be assembled to form a team; the number from each category will differ according to the respective decisions by the higher-ups. Once decisions are finalized, no changes can be made - any objections will result in executions.

If they made it into a team that are to be released into the real world, they must not expect to be free just yet; their duties await. They will have to sign a 10-year contract that states that they will follow every single rule the Bifidensis has set for them. This includes but not limited to:
1. No establishing relationships with anyone outside of their team.
2. Jobs must be carried out with the highest secrecy, although nothing will result in their arrest.
3. Anyone outside (certain people are exceptions; e.g. suppliers) who finds out their identities must be eliminated immediately.
4. A report detailing the jobs received must be sent out every month to KTC.
5. 40% of the money received from each job must be wired to KTC.

Once the 10-year contract has ended, they will be free from any obligations towards KTC and they are allowed to restart normal lives, because once they reach a certain age, they are deemed no longer suitable to be labeled as agents.

Or so that's what they're told.

In reality, once the contract has ended, the agents will be wiped out; no traces of them shall be left behind.

The cycle is then repeated.

KTC, where rules are imposed with the best interests of the agents in mind.

ATEEZ is a group composed of failures of the system. Each individual is highly skilled in their respective fields but they display an undesirable result to the system. Therefore, the protocol must be carried out accordingly; they must be eliminated.

Note: Reason of recruitment unrevealed at the start, but later revealed that his uncle is one of the Bifidensis board members; sent (by force) to the facility when his parents passed away due to an accident [details provided in another file]. Demonstrates excellent leadership, problem-solving skills and is a valuable strategist. Also good in bare-handed combat and using close-range weapons, but always prefers to be democratic first. Good in making decisions under pressure. Highly intelligent and wise. Very kind-hearted and has always other people's interests in mind. Best candidate to become the leader.

Father figure not available, ran away when he was born [details not available]. Took out the whole 'Medusa' gang together with a fellow gang member, Akira Hwang [details not available]. Skilled in weaponry, and displays excellent targeting skills. Can aim with eyes closed, most of the time hitting bulls-eye. Despite dark background, this member displays good domestic skills and is surprisingly very gentle with children and older people. One of the toughest members to mould to the system.

Note: The only member to have appeared at the facility on his own will, but the reason was undisclosed. It was later revealed that he was looking for another orphan from his orphanage named Lee Eunbi [see section: Lee Eunbi]. Seemed clueless at first on what he got himself into, but gradually started adapting to the system. Good in calculating probabilities of a certain situation, providing the team with an accurate future insight. Good in close-range attacks, a bit dialed down when using weapons. Surprisingly (since only some trainees possess this kind of skill, a close contender is Park Seonghwa [see section: Park Seonghwa]) good when fighting blindfolded or in low light. Excellent driver, good with vehicles. Strike one is when he made a mistake by establishing a relationship with Lee Eunbi. The born child's life is spared, but the other trainee was executed [details provided in another file]. His life too was spared.

Observed to be very meticulous, good at concentrating, and very innovative in the ideas he put out. Good at skateboarding, and from observation he can use it as a weapon. Has a sharp tongue, known to kill even with his words. Very close with Jung Wooyoung despite bickering every minute or so since they have been friends since they were babies. Has not known any family members since he was placed in the orphanage when he was barely 1 year old. One of the toughest members to mould to the system.

Note: Came from a broken family, forced to fend for himself and his older sister from their stepfather when mother passed away. Almost killed by his stepfather who tried to drown him but defied the odds [details provided in another file]. Became associated with a trauma related to water. Ran away with his older sister as soon as he returned from the near-death experience, finding refuge in the streets. Older sister took her own life not long after [details not available]. Forced to live by himself, started training and got involved in a lot of street fights, beating his opponent to a pulp every time. Tried to murder his father to exact revenge on him, but failed to do so [details provided in another file]. Excellent climber and martial artist. Trained in different forms of martial arts from his street years, also the fastest. Not good in concealing his feelings. Picked up from the streets but one of the toughest members to mould to the system.

Note: The only member who seems to be having a somewhat normal background. Lived with his grandmother, no other family members around [details not available]. Went to school, spent a life like a normal child. Started bringing attention to himself when he was caught trying to hack the Sims to get more Simoleons. In exchange for a time out from arrest, he was sent to KTC. Grandmother could not afford to take care of him anymore due to her increasing age and failing health. Grandmother passed away while he was on the island, but it was never revealed to him. Up to this day, it was still speculated that he had no idea that his only family member was gone. Displayed excellent hacking skills, ability surpassing those older and more experienced than him. Started learning and accumulating IT skills as a way to cope with having no other family members to confide in besides his ailing grandmother. Very kind, always looking out to protect others even though he can barely protect himself.

At the orphanage he protected Kang Yeosang, using his good aim to throw anything to children who would disturb his best friend. Good at making new friends and good with his words. Has a certain charm around him that makes people believe him even when he is obviously telling a lie. Provides the best support for his team members. Has an excellent aim. Slightly tough to conform to the system, but not as tough as the other three previously mentioned [see sections: Park Seonghwa, Kang Yeosang, Choi San].

Note: Both mother and father were former trainees and agents for the Bifidensis who got married after their 10-year contract ended [names undisclosed]. They were eliminated after his mother gave birth to him, but the reason on why their elimination was delayed was never revealed. Since he was only a baby, he was not killed but rather sent away to live in an orphanage. Quite obedient and a perfect copy of his late father. Showed massive strength, concluded to be the strongest member. Sometimes hesitant to use force even when he could. Good with knives and guns, but where he picked up the skills from remained a mystery. Can be distant from the others sometimes, but only because he didn't know how to interact with them. Other trainees were known to be intimidated by him even though they were older than him.

Note: Daughter of a previous highly-skilled agent - her father displayed excellent skills in all three Aeons. Father was a Bifidensis board member [details provided in another file]. Was forced to become a trainee after the plot of killing her whole family failed, was the only one who survived. Showed high skills in both long and short-range attacks. Excellent with weapons; can turn everyday objects into weapons. Exhibited dangerous behaviour when she was admitted to the facility; went wild and murdered two of the Bifidensis board members, although it was said to only be an accident. Needed to be isolated from the rest of the trainees due to very high lethality; dangerous once disturbed. Was known to cry a lot, but even as tears ran down her face she could pick up a weapon and kill, driven by her unstable emotions. Executed when she was 17 years old [details provided in another file]. During her time as a trainee, was not allowed to make any contact with other trainees, therefore had never interacted with any of the ATEEZ members despite being in the same facility, except for Jeong Yunho.
