Meant to Be: Jeff x Sasha Part 1 (JTK 2015 version)
Jeff wandered down the sidewalk next to his new school in Mandeville, Louisiana, not really paying attention to the world around him. Liu had left for their aunt's house yesterday, him being forced to by their parents. He had been sent there because him and Jeff had been accused of picking a fight with Randy and his two friends, the three kids that had power over some of the teens at the high school. From Jeff had heard about them from other students, it was easy to see why those three would get away with busting Liu's lip and messing with their bikes. Randy's parents were rich, Keith and Troy probably latching on to him for some kind of benefit. Jeff and Liu had tried to talk to their parents, swearing that they didn't cause the fight, but their parents didn't listen.
Jeff knew that it was just to keep up their image, since they were new to the town, Jeff missing New Orleans more and more each day. Now, he was also missing his brother, not really talking to anyone at school. He had no reason to, really, with every kid there basically bowing down to Randy's whim just because of his parents. There were a few kids that stood up to him, but most of them were currently in juvenile prison. Those three could get away with murder if they wanted to! With no one to talk to, and likely being watched like a hawk by his mom, Jeff wondered if he should just keep to himself for a while.
A few minutes of walking later, close to the bus stop, Jeff noticed a crowd of teens around a part of the sidewalk. He could here music coming from there, sounding like hip hop or techno; music you would dance to. As Jeff walked over to the crowd, he saw what all of them were cheering about. A girl around his age was dancing to some music coming from a phone, likely hers, attached to a small speaker. She was dancing really well, probably having danced all her life, wowing the crowd with how she danced. She was pretty attractive, her long black hair bouncing and swaying as she danced, her clothes slightly hugging her good figure. As the music came to an end and the crowd cheered, he got a look at her eyes, which were light blue like his were, a kind smirk on her face as she bowed slightly.
As the crowd started dispersing, the girl glanced over at him, smirking slightly as she spoke. "You're Jeff, right, the new guy?" she asked, putting her phone in her shorts pocket and her speaker in her bag, Jeff nodding as he spoke, his bag still slung over his shoulder. "Yeah, that's me." he said, taking a step closer to her as she leaned against the lamp post, which towered above them. "What happened to your brother? He sick or something?" she asked, Jeff sighing and shaking his head as he looked to the side in frustration. "No, my parents sent him away with our aunt because Randy picked a fight with us, and the cops said we started it!" Sasha nodded as he spoke, speaking as she looped the bag's strap around her ankle. "Yeah, that usually happens to the people who try to take up for themselves against Randy. They either keep their mouths shut afterwards, or the end up in juvey because they fought back." Jeff nodded as she looked up at him, their eyes meeting instantly, Jeff suddenly feeling like his stomach was heating up. He knew the feeling, he had liked girls before, but this one was somehow.....more attractive to him.
The girl looked up at him and smiled, holding out her hand for him to shake. "My name's Sasha, by the way. We have a few classes together, I usually just sit in the back a lot." she said, Jeff chuckling and shaking her hand. "I think I'll sit in the back more often then~" he said, Sasha letting out a small laugh at his words, nodding as she let his hand go. Jeff then glanced over at the gas station across the street, smiling as he looked back at her. "Hey, I gotta couple of dollars on me. You want anything to drink?" he asked, Sasha giving him a slightly surprised look, before smiling and nodding. "Sure, a Coke sounds pretty good right now, actually. Thanks, you're a good guy~" Jeff smirked and nodded before walking over to the gas station, grabbing two Cokes and paying for them at the register.
As he glanced out the window as the cashier put the money in the register, Jeff's expression soon turned to an annoyed one. There, talking to Sasha, was Randy, Keith, and Troy. They all had a smirk on their faces as they talked to her, Jeff grabbing the Cokes and quickly putting them into his backpack before walking towards them, the four not noticing him as Randy spoke. "So, Sasha, how about you and me go out for some Chinese tonight? I'll make sure you'll have a good time~" Randy said, confidence and cockiness apparent in his tone. Sasha then smirked back at him, Jeff watching from the sidewalk across from them as she spoke. "No thanks, Randy, don't really have a soft spot for rich punks." she said, Randy looking confused before smirking again. "Aww, c'mon Sasha~ I can pick you up in my dad's car, and we can go riding around town after we eat if you want to. Heck, I might even get you something, if you want~"
Jeff was growing slightly angry at Randy, knowing that he likely wasn't gonna take no for an answer, and his friends would probably make sure of it. However, Sasha didn't budge, still smirking at Randy as she spoke, though Jeff noticed she was getting slightly annoyed. "Randy, I already said no, nothing's gonna change that. I don't care who your parents are, and I wouldn't really feel great dating a guy who buys me stuff and takes me places using daddy dearest's money." Randy's eyebrow twitched slightly as he tried to contain himself, Keith and Troy both wondering if he was gonna pressure Sasha or not. He had had eyes on her for a while, and had said no to him countless times. However, he had told them earlier that he had almost had enough of her refusing him, Randy interrupting their thoughts as he spoke.
"Y'know, Sasha, you're the first woman to ever turn me down. You're feisty, and stubborn, but I like that in a woman~ You'd be making a big mistake not dating me." The last one sounded like a threat to Jeff, Sasha obviously knowing that it likely was. Before Sasha or Randy could say another word, Jeff walked over to Sasha and stood next to her. "Randy, leave her alone. She said no, alright?" Randy and the other two let out slight coos, the three smirking wider as they laid eyes on Jeff.
"Well, if it ain't the pussy boy. I heard your little brother got sent to his aunt's, leaving you all alone~ Don't feel so strong now, do ya?" Jeff felt that strange feeling starting to form in him, getting angrier at Randy, trying to keep it in so the cops wouldn't show up at his door again. Sasha then spoke up, slightly pushing Randy back. "Randy, just take your friends and go. Im just here to meet up with Kara. I didn't ask for you to come over here, and you already had at it with Jeff. Leave the poor guy alone." Randy's eyes filled with slight anger and what looked like jealousy, still smirking at Jeff, trying to make him lash out again. "Oh, so you made a new buddy, Jeff? She look good to you or something? You shouldn't have eyes on what ain't yours, yknow~" Sasha and Jeff both glared at him this time, Sasha being the one to speak before Jeff had the chance. "Who the fuck said I was yours?! Im not going out with you, Randy, that's it! Piss off!"
Randy finally glared at Jeff, his smirk disappearing as he spoke. "Fine, I'll leave you alone, right after I take care of this pussy here." Before Randy could even try to punch Jeff, Sasha shoved him to the ground, glaring down at him as she spoke, Keith and Troy helping Randy up. "Randy, go back to mommy and daddy and your big house, okay? Dont make things violent again, you lost last time anyway!" Randy got back onto his feet, looking like he was about to yell or even go for a hit at Sasha, another teen girl walked over and looked over at Randy, holding her phone up before putting it in her pocket. "Everything you have said is on my phone, Randy. Recorded and all. You wouldn't want me to put this all over the net, do you? Like I did when you tortured that Autistic kid? It'd look reeeeaaall bad on you~" Jeff didn't know where the girl came from, or how long she had been around. It's liked she popped out of thin air, and now she had blackmail on Randy and his goons.
Keith and Troy showed fear in their eyes as they looked at Kara, glancing at Randy, who was gritting his teeth in anger. Finally, without a word, the three left, Sasha sighing before playfully punching the girl's shoulder. "You always appear when I need you, Kara." she chuckled, Kara chuckling and nodding with her. Jeff stood there confused as he stared at the two. Sasha glanced over at him and smiled, nudging Kara as she spoke. "This is my friend. Me and her have blackmailed Randy a few times, always works. That's why we haven't been accused of anything."
Jeff smiled and nodded, shaking Kara's hand and introducing himself, Kara doing the same after him. She had long blonde hair and black framed glasses, Legend of Zelda keychains and patches adorning her bag. It was obvious she was a gamer, wondering if she danced like Sasha did. After a small conversation, Sasha and Kara decided to head back to their home, Sasha speaking up before Jeff could walk away. "Hey, where's that Coke I was promised?~" Sasha asked, Jeff laughing before hanging it to her, Sasha thanking him before hanging him a piece of paper. "Text me sometime, okay? You're a pretty good guy, Jeff~" Jeff blushed slightly at her words, smiling and nodding as she spoke. "I will, I'll see you tomorrow!" Sasha smiled and waved to him before walking off with Kara, drinking her Coke as she walked off.
Jeff smiled as he walked home, putting her phone number in his pocket. He planned on texting her later that night, since he had some homework to do. Sasha was pretty hot, and he could see them being friends. Maybe he could charm her later on, thinking he might have already. Maybe the rest of the time Liu was gone wouldn't be so bad after all.
