Her Protector

(Based off the Black Butler episode above, His Butler, Strongest.)

Renesmay has gotten into another situation. She had been kidnapped, again. This was the seventh time she had been kidnapped that year, making it the 108th time in her life. Renesmay was usually kidnapped because she was Zalgo's adopted daughter, and many people resented Zalgo and his reign. So, they all thought it was the perfect idea to kidnap Renesmay, hair to the Otherworld throne, and Zalgo's oldest child, Lazari being the youngest.

As usual, Renesmay has been in her office, looking through paperwork she had to do. She then heard someone enter her office, and before she could look up to see who it was, everything went black. She woke up in a rustic, old attic, blood stains covering the floor. She was tied up with some rope, her mouth surprisingly not gagged. Renesmay took in her surroundings, realizing she had been kidnapped again. Even though there was a window in the attic, perfect for an escape, Renesmay didn't try to escape. Her friend would do her job.

A man in a black cloak then walked in, his face not visable by the low light of the room. The man then turned on light bulb hanging from the ceiling by a chain, his face now becoming visable. Half of his face was covered with green, decayed skin, somehow holding the one green eye the man had. His other eye was missing, an eyesocket only visable, with a small red light illuminating from it. The other half of his face was skeletal, some of his teeth missing. Dirty blonde, long, messy hair framed his face. He looked like a zombie of some sorts that had just crawled out from the grave after many years.

He walked over to Renesmay, looking down at her with a cruel look of some sorts. It was hard to tell with half his face gone. He then spoke to Renesmay in a deep, raspy British accent, not sounding too kind. "I'm surprised you havent tried to escape." he said, looking down at the blonde headed girl. "The other tried to last time." He then pulled out a picture from his cloak, holding it up in front of him. "I know you are friends with this boy. Where is he?" the man asked in a demanding tone. Renesmay was slightly shocked to see a picture of Will Grossman, a friend of Renesmay's, in his hand. While she wondered why the man was looking for Will, Renesmay knew it wasn't to pay him for a friendly visit, and frankly, Renesmay didn't like to be ordered around.

"It's none of your concern where he lives, nor why I'm friends with him." Renesmay replied, looking up at the man with a plain, but angry, look. "I suggest you let me go before you get hurt. My protector is already on her way, and I'm sure that you have many other things to do than stand around and stalk teenagers." A hard kick was then delivered to Renesmay's face, causing her to fall to the ground, groaning in pain. "I have no time for your insults, woman!" he growled, pointing a knife at Renesmay. "If you tell me where he is now, I may give you a less painful death. Where is he?!"

Renesmay somehow sat herself up, looking up at the man with a scowl. That scowl then turned into a smirk, chuckling slightly, causing the man in front of her to raise an eyebrow. "Wouldnt you like to know, you pedophile?" Renesmay asked.

The man then growled, kicking Renesmay in the stomach, causing her to cough up blood. The man then kneeled down, and roughly grabbing her chin, forcing Renesmay to look at him, blood dripping from her mouth as she glared at him. "You're as stubborn as that whore was." he growled, Renesmay reminding him of his first victim. He then released her chin, standing back up. "You'll tell me soon enough, and if you don't, I'll make sure your death is as slow and painful as mine was."

Renesmay looked down at the floor, the pain in her stomach rising as she breathed. She then looked up at the man, and spit in his face, blood splattered on his cheekbone. He wiped the blood off of him, growling once more as he said, "Stupid whore!" He then hit Renesmay in the head with the back of his knife, causing her to become dizzy. She laid on the ground, tears threatening to escape her eyes, as she heard the man setting some sort of tools on the torture like bed on the other side of the room.

As he did so, about to drag Renesmay over to the table, black smoke started to fill the room, causing the man to cough and wheeze. He then unlocked the door leading to the downstairs of the house, and opened it, taking a few steps back as he saw a tall figure in the door. He growled as he noticed the black and white striped sleeves of the figure, remebering someone from his past in particular. "Aw great, you again." he growled, holding his knife close to him as he prepared to defend himself.

The two then heard a chuckle come from the figure in the doorway, it being all too familiar to Renesmay. "I don't believe I've met you." a woman's voice said, the figure walking into the room. "I would have killed you a while back." Susan said, smirking at the man, who was about four feet shorter than her. The man looked a bit shocked, expecting someone else. He then growled at the figure, lunging at her withhi a knife, but he instead hit the wall. After regaining consciousness, he looked around the find the woman, ready and willing to kill her.

He found her next to Renesmay, untying her. "Took you long enough." Renesmay mumbled, looking up at her friend. "Sorry, had to look harder for you, since you weren't in the Otherworld." Susan chuckled, releasing Renesmay from the ropes. "It's not my fault that you keep being the damsel in distress." Renesmay then punched the woman in the arm, causing her to playfully say 'ow.' "You're my protector, Susan." Renesmay said, looking at Susan sternly, but looked a bit annoyed. "You protect me with everything you have."

"I know, I know." Susan said, playfully rolling her eyes. Susan then looked over at the man, a devious smirk on her face. "Now, let's finish this, shall we?" Susan chuckled, putting her fingers in a snap position. However, Susan soon displayed a look of confusion, her brows furrowing. "What's wrong?" Renesmay asked, a bit of worry in her voice. "He doesn't have a heart beat, pulse, or anything!" Susan said, sounding surprised. This had never happened before.

Before Susan could attack the man physically, he ran down the stairs, but not before giving Renesmay a glare. Susan was about to go after him, but Susan pulled her back by her arm. "Let him go." Renesmay said, looking up at Susan. "Why?! He tried to kill you, and kidnapped you!" Susan exclaimed, shocked that Renesmay would order such a thing. "There's some things I want him to answer for me, and I.....I don't know..." Renesmay said, trailing off a bit. "He wants something to do with Will, and I want to find out why. We'll just keep watch for him right now."

Though Susan wanted to protest, she sighed, shaking her head at Renesmay. "You confuse me sometimes." Susan said, lifting Renesmay up bridal style. "Same to you." Renesmay said plainly, not getting the picture of Will out of her head. "I wonder what he has to do with Will...." Renesmay didn't mean to say it out loud, and glared at Susan as she wiggled her eyebrows at her, a smirked widely. "Someone's on looooovvve!" Susan cooed, Renesmay punching Susan's arm. "Shut up!" Renesmay said, her and Renesmay exiting the old house, making their way back to the Otherworld.

(This was a bit rushed, but I hope you all enjoy it. The photo above is of Isaac Lee. Grossman, Will's great grandfather (don't know how many greats though.) Got the idea from a page of the Creeps comic by Snuffbomb, also drawn by SabrinaNightmaren. Also, fun fact: Susan and Renesmay's relationship as friends is loosely/somewhat based off of Ciel and Sebastian's relationship. I hope you all enjoyed the story! ^^)
