"Nathan!" I huffed, lazily stepping over roots and rocks.

"What is it now, (Y/n)?" Nathan sighs, turning to face me, his hands on his hips.

"I'm getting tired, are we almost there?" I leaned against a nearby tree, my hand on my chest. Nathan takes out a map that we stole from a gas station and looks at it. I heard him hum before shaking his head.

"No, if I calculated it correctly, we would arrive in four more hours." I clutched my chest and slid down to the ground.

"Four hours!?" Nathan just stares at me like he's done with my crap.

"Yep" Popping the 'p', I watched as he turned back around and began walking again.

"Nathan! Don't leave me!" I called out, returning quickly on my feet and running after him. He doesn't even look at me when I'm back by his side. "Why would Slender make us go half way across the country! On foot!?" I crossed my arms, pouting a little.

"Why did he made you go when all you do is whine?" Nathan shot back, no emotion in his voice.

"Well, geez... that hurt..." I narrowed my eyes at him, a little offended.

Looking towards the moon, I pressed my lips in a thin line, my arms still crossed. My body ached and my stomach growled. We have been walking for two hours without stopping, and Nathan wants to keep moving forward.  My feet were started to get sore where it was making it difficult to walk, and the wind started to pick up. It was mid-autumn, so it was getting very chilly at night.

"Nathan--"

"What do you want!?" I tensed up when he yelled at me, snapping his whole body towards me.

"I just wanted to say my body is sore and I'm hungry..." I shrank down in my spot under Nathan's gaze. "Sorry..."

Nathan sighs, calming himself down. "I'm sorry too. There's a hotel up ahead in a few minutes, we'll stop there and get some rest. Sound good?" He gave me a thumbs-up, waiting for my reply.

"Very!" I smiled, clapping my hands together. Nathan goes to turn back around, but I stopped him. "Wait, my feet also hurt and it's making it very uncomfortable to walk..." Nathan just glances down at my feet before making eye contact again.

"What am I suppose to do about it?" He questions, confused. I sighed, rolling my eyes before raising my hands in the air.

"Carry me!"

I heard him chuckle before waving his hand in the air. "I'm not carrying you... you'll just have to suffer with it." Glaring, I waited for him to turn back around before jumping onto his back. "(Y/n)! What are you doing!?" I felt his arms wrap around my legs, leaning back a little since I was kinda pulling on his hair.

"Oh sorry. You didn't wanna carry me so I did it for you..." I smiled, moving his hair so I wasn't pulling on it. It was surprisingly soft. Anyways! Nathan just grumbles under his breath before walking. "See, carrying me isn't a problem! Now I guess you'll just have to suffer with it." I laughed wickedly before seeing a hotel come into our vision.

"We're here, now you can get off me." Nathan stops at the doors of the hotel, waiting for me to get off his back.

"No! Not until we are inside!" I smiled innocently, causing Nathan to breathe deeply before entering the hotel. The hotel ladies at the counter watched us walk in with a smile, maybe even giggling a little.

"Hello! How may we help you?" Jumping from Nathan's back, I smiled back. Her blue eyes were full of happiness and she doesn't even seem tired even though it's two in the morning.

"We would like a room please, only for the night." The girl nods her head, typing on her computer before telling us our room number.

"Here's your key, the stairs are right over there."

I thanked her before turning around to see Nathan not even paying attention. He was off in his own little world, looking around at the stuff in the room.

"Nathan! Let's go." Grabbing his arm, I dragged him to the stairs.

"You got a room already?" He questioned, seeing the key in my hand.

"No, I just thought we were going to look at all the rooms, of course, I already have a room, there was no line." I rolled my eyes playfully, reaching our floor. "Room 234. It should be this way." Looking into the dark corridors, the only thing that keeps them lit is the small candles on the walls.

"I found it." Turning around, I see Nathan standing in front of a door, waiting for me.

"Nice work, let's check it out." I put the key in and turned it, hearing the satisfying click noise. Opening the door, the first thing I see is the single bed in the middle while the bathroom was right next to our door.

"One bed?" Nathan raises his brow at me, entering the room.

"Well, she never asked... she just gave me a key and told me what room," I stated, taking off my shoes and sighed in relief. That feels good. Putting the key on the little dresser they have in front of the bed, I turned around to see Nathan sprawled all over the queen size bed.

"Sorry, it's taken, you'll have to sleep in that chair." He points at the chair that was next to the window. I glared at him before walking over to it, sitting down. It was soft, but the armrest was like wood. My back and neck are going to be sore in the morning if I sleep on this.

"Night, (Y/n)." Everything went dark as Nathan turned off the lights, leaving me glued to sleep in the chair.

"I hate you..." I muttered out loud enough for him to hear me. Trying to get comfy, I found one spot where I'm curled into a ball. It'll have to work, but my neck is going to hate me in the morning. Sighing, I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. After just lying there for who knows how long with my eyes open since I couldn't sleep, I heard Nathan get up from the bed.

Thinking he was just going to go to the bathroom, I ignored him, that is until I felt his arms scoop me up from the chair. Quickly shutting my eyes, I felt him carry me bridal style. He set me down on the queen size bed before getting in himself. My heart raced in my chest when I felt him wrap his arm around me and rest his chin on top of my head.

"Sorry, (Y/n). I shouldn't be such an ass to you..." He mumbles, sighing. I smiled a little bit, opening my eyes to see I was facing his chest.

"I forgive you, thanks for the free cuddle though." I blushed, snuggling closer to him. I felt him tense up before relaxing.

"And here I thought you were asleep." He chuckled nervously before we both fell asleep in each other's arms.
