Noticing many animals disappeared from view during the snowy season, you spotted a single bright cardinal that stood alone. He rested upon a snow-covered branch, chirping out to the other birds skulking around. The sun shined down on the cardinal, melting the flakes that settled on the bird, not even caring if it was snowing or not.

Different varieties of snowflakes floated down to the ground, piling on top of each other. There has to be around 8 inches of snow on the forest floor.

Eyes sparkling, you leaned forward, resting your hands on the windowsill. The coldness of the wood seeped into your palms, but you didn't seem to mind. Sensing your legs growing weak from squatting, you waved the burning pain away, staring out into the open forest like a child.

Scanning the smooth snow in front of you, a wide smile broke out onto your face. Glancing over your shoulder at the sound of someone sniffing, your eyes landed on Liu who was snuggled up in a fuzzy pink blanket.

His brown hair was shooting out in every direction, seeming like he just woke up after a rough night. Yanking the blanket to his red stuffed nose, he continued to stare at the TV screen, watching his favourite show.

"Geez, can it get any colder in here?" Jumping out of my thoughts, I didn't even notice it was Liu who spoke, seeming like he was talking to himself.

"I don't know, I mean, it is winter and you do have a slight cold." I chuckled, standing to my full height, wincing as my sore legs cracked at the sudden movement. Making my way towards the male, I took a seat on the armrest of the couch, glancing up at the TV as two people started to argue about who's cake is better.

"Like I didn't know that, but still!" Liu groans, wiping his nose on the back of his hand. I'm still kinda shocked I haven't heard from Sully in a while, I guess he doesn't want any part of the sickness and the cold weather.

Zoning out, I stared at my lap until my eyes darted over to the frozen window. Getting an idea, I jumped off the couch before heading to the front door. The stitched male noticed my abrupt disappearance, raising a brow at me as he peeked around the back of the couch.

"Now what are you doing?" Sliding on my snow boots, I grabbed ahold of Liu's thick winter hat, hiding it behind my back for he could see.

"You'll see! But first, put this on." I smirked, throwing the hat in his face. Scrunching up his nose, Liu peers up at me before eyeing the fabric in his hands. "Just do it!" I groaned, snatching the hat from his hands and placing it on his head.

Smiling at the dork in front of me, I grabbed ahold of his heated hands, yanking him off the couch and into my arms. Shivering at the crisp air that nipped at his skin, Liu glares at me before rubbing his arms, trying to warm back up.

"Here, this will warm you up." Tossing Liu his jacket, he barely had time to react as the heavy jacket flew towards him. I still don't know how on earth he can run in that...

Zipping up my own jacket, I placed some gloves on my hands, not wanting my hands to freeze up as I'm playing around in the snow. Making sure Liu had his boots and gloves on, I unlocked the front door, opening it as a gust of wind brushed against my exposed cheeks.

Tugging on the taller male's arm, we stepped outside, shutting the door behind us.

"Something warm already sounds good. I don't know why I allowed you to drag me outside." Liu coughs, sniffing as he glanced down at me. Shaking my head at his comment, I gave him a slight nudge as I admired the wonderland in front of me.

"C'mon!" Leaping into the piling of soft snow, I found out that there was no point in running since it was quite difficult to do so, not only that, half of my legs were already getting sucked up from underneath.

"If you get buried, I'm not going to help you." Liu chuckles, carefully stepping out into the snow, making sure he doesn't lose his boot or get stuck.

"Same goes for you too!" I beamed, watching as the stitched male tried to make his way over to me. Bending down, I grabbed a small handful of packing snow, pushing it together with my gloved hands to form a snowball.

Peeping up at the unware male, I smirked when I noticed he wasn't paying attention to me. Raising my arm above my head, I tried to aim for his shoulder, but he just didn't stop moving. Giving up, I decided to just throw it and see where it goes.

Following the snowball flying through the air, I gasped when it hit Liu dead in the chest, knocking the air out of him. Once his vibrant emerald eyes connected with mine, I knew I was in trouble.

"So it's a snowball fight you want, eh?" Noticing a smirk forming on the stitched males features, he leaned down and scooped as much snow into his hands as he could, carefully patting it down to form a smooth snowball.

Gulping, I gradually started to back away, raising my hands in front of my face. "Wait! No! I'm sorry!" I yelped, seeing as Liu lifted his arm in the air, ready to throw it at me. Immediately trying to turn around, I took a couple of steps before I felt something cold smacked the back of my head, slipping down my shirt. The snow started to break up into different pieces once it came in contact with my heated skin. "AH! THAT'S COLD!" I screamed, my hands sprang up to seize ahold the rim of my jacket, shaking out most of the snow I could.

Focusing on getting the snow out of my shirt, I didn't know Liu was forming another snowball. Catching him snickering behind me, I knew he was up to no good, provoking me to instantly glance over my shoulder, witnessing a large snowball fly past me. "HA! YOU MISSED!"

I smirked at the stitched male before plopping down onto my knees. The snow around me produced a nice crunchy sound when I landed. I know I don't have snow pants on, but that won't stop me from crawling around in the tall snow. Scooping up a handful of snow, I patted it down before rolling it in the snow, watching it get bigger by the second.

"You can't possibly throw that at me, it's too big for you to pick up," Liu states, raising a brow at me as he had yet another snowball in his hand.

"Nah, I thought I was just so strong that I could Hulk smash you with it. I'm making a snowman, join me." I chirped, groaning as the snowball became the size of my body, getting surprisingly difficult to push. Deciding to leave it be, I started to work on the head of the snowman as Liu worked on the body.

"Uh, (Y/n)? Help?" Peeking out of the corner of my eye, I witnessed Liu struggling to hold the body of the snowman, it casually slipping out of his hands.

"Don't drop it!" I gasped, racing over as fast as I could despite the snow. "Here, we'll carry it together," I stated, picking up one half as Liu grabs the other half. Casually stepping towards the bottom part of the snowman, we lowered the large snowball onto it, making sure it wasn't going to slip off.

Placing my hands on my hips, I observed the snowman in front of us as Liu settles the head on. The snowman had to be around Liu's height, so it was taller than me. "Now for the decorations!" I grinned, jogging over to the woods that was next to our small cabin.

Finding two perfected sticks for the arms, I turned on my heel to head back to the snowman, but Liu was nowhere in sight. Humming, I gazed over at our front door was the taller male stepped out with a carrot and his scarf in his gloved hands.

Stabbing the sticks into the snowman's sides, Liu carefully pressed the carrot into the snowman's head, not wanting to split the snow.

Stepping back, I watched as Liu wrapped his scarf around the snowman before giving him two button eyes. Smiling proudly at our creation, Liu wraps his arm around my shoulder before escorting me back into the wooden cabin.

"That was fun, but it takes away a lot of your energy." Liu chuckled, groaning when he realized his nose was beginning to run. Taking off our puffy jackets and gloves, we sighed in relief since we were starting to sweat. My cheeks stung from being outside for too long and my fingertips were wet when the gloves came off.

"I know how to fix that!" Once everything was off, I jogged into the kitchen and made Liu and me two cups of Hot Cocoa. I did make a slight mess, but I'll clean that up later. "You did say you wanted something warm," I stated, carefully shuffling back into the living room where Liu is already snuggled back up in his pink blanket.

Handing him his cup of Hot Cocoa, I sat down next to him, stealing some of his blankets to wrap myself up as well. "Thank you, (Y/n)." Liu smiles, resting his arm around my shoulder. Returning his smile, I gazed out the window to examine the sunset with our snowman sitting in our yard.
