"NONONONONONONONO... GAH!" It was the third time losing that stupid boss battle. Even with the walkthroughs, I couldn't get halfway through without dying. I stood in anger and frustration, glad to be alone [or so you thought] so I could yell, "I had three fairies and a potion! How the hell could I possibly lose?!" The controller fell the ground, clicking 'B' as it hit the floor. I was presented with the darkness of the loading screen.

Until the TV began to spazz out, glitching, with static filling the headphones. I fell back, seeing the face of Link appear on the screen. Except, there was an evilness in his creepy grin. His face seemed hyper-realistic for a character in Majora's Mask. He laughed at my fear. "I see you are frustrated." His voice was strained and hoarse, but his laugh was loud and high pitched, echoing with each breath.

"I.... uhm..." I couldn't speak. So, I just nodded, keeping my gaze locked on the character.

"Don't you know staring is rude?" He snapped. I quickly dropped my eyes, gaining another hearty laugh from him. "I'm just messing with ya. I'm the Elegy Statue. But my name is BEN."

I nodded again, before realizing I hadn't introduced myself. "Uh- I-I'm (Y/N)..."

"Play the game again, and I will help you." The static disappeared, BEN with it. In hesitance, I picked up the controller again, starting back at the master door.

It began as it would, until I reached the same point. I no longer had fairies or potions, to my surprise. But not to my surprise, I got hit, falling backwards and losing my last lives. I was about to quit again, but suddenly, I had max hearts, and Link began to run around by himself. I watched him fight the monster easily, knowing exactly what to do, and when. Any hits the boss gave did no damage, not even making the character flinch. In the corner of the screen, I could see a statue of a hyper-realistic Link. BEN's grin was wide, as if there was a lust for this monster's blood.

A screech echoed in my headphones, letting me know that the boss had been defeated. I laughed in excitement, though I took no part in defeating the level. Soon the glitching returned, showing the face of BEN on my screen. "Thank you! But, um... how long have you been in my electronics? And why did you decide to help me? What was the catch for helping me?"

"I've been here for a while, and you seemed pretty cool when you aren't freaking out over games. So, I just thought I should help you. I probably won't appear much. The last time you'll see me is Dawn of the Fourth Day, when I'm going to completely ruin all of your save files; but then you're on your own."

I nod, completely ignoring the save files thing. "Alright, cool. Nice to meet you, BEN."

"Yup."

Then the Elegy Statue vanished from the screen, leaving me in the darkness of my home. I could almost hear his laugh in my headphones as I continued with my game.
