I sat at the top of the stairs. The yelling echoed through the house. My eye welled up with tears as I watched the shadows on the wall of my mom and dad fighting. I looked up and stared at the door down the hall.
I stood up and went to the room. I picked up my phone from my bedside table that, let's be honest with ourselves, was never really by our bedsides.

I tucked my phone in my pocket and climbed out the window onto the roof. I climbed across the roof and slid down from the roof onto the garage. And from the garage to the trash bins to the grass. I ran two doors down to Tommy's house.

I knocked on his window. He opened it up and stared at me. He looked down past me and gawked.
"Dude, this is the third story, how-?" Tommy trailed off.

"Wanna do a job with me?" I asked.
"What kind?" Tommy asked.
"He said it was breaking into a house of some sort," I said.
He sighed and smiled getting onto his window seal.
He grumbled, "fine."

We got down and ran to Nick's house a block or two away.
We just knocked on his front door.
"What?" Nick asked rubbing his eyes.
"Wanna go on a job with us? Breaking and entering~," I teased.
He sighed, grabbed his jacket, and stepped out.

"Fine," he said closing and locking his door.
I met Nick on one of these jobs. He's almost 7 years older than me but he's been doing this since he was 12. So he's been doing this for . . . [Calculating] . . . 11 years.

Whatever, he has more experience than I do and is very helpful in these situations. The boss pays everyone involved. It's why he doesn't really like others in on it unless it's a big thing.

Tommy will ultimately get less because he's not an official member of the organization, he just thinks it's fun. But he still gets money out of the deal.

"What you accepting jobs like breaking and entering, and most possibly burglary, so late Cor?" Nick interrogated.
"Don't get on my back Nick, I don't need the sass," I grumbled.
"That isn't sass Cor," Nick stated.
"Besides, I didn't accept it, I asked for it," I said.

"You did what!" Nick growled taking my shoulder.
Tommy kept walking as he held me back.
"I asked," I stated calmly.
"Kid, you don't ask for a job! You wait for it and if it's too dangerous you tell him to beat it, get someone else!" Nick lectured.

"I'd rather gain money from getting the beating than just get a beating thank you very much!" I growled back.
"You gon' end up getting too much beatin' in one day Cor," Nick growled.

"It'd be worth it," I said.
"Worth it how?" Nick growled.
"I can support them," I whispered.
"Support their addiction," Nick growled.

I grumbled and dragged him to catch up with Tommy.
"Ya know, if you need somewhere to stay you can always stay with me. You just gotta ask kiddo," Nick whispered into my ear.

News: Plus I got chu numbah!

Oooo! Wow, what surprise: Shoot 'em

News: BP

Nick nudged me and the three of us walked to the ice cream parlor.
"He asked you to meet here?" Tommy asked.
"Yeah, why?" I confirmed.
"I thought it'd be like a dark park or an alleyway," Tommy murmured, "Not an open 24/7 ice cream shop."

"It's more inconspicuous this way. Like we're being picked up from a friend after getting ice cream," Nick explained.
"You two are years apart," Tommy grumbled.
"So?" I asked.

"It just seems-you know-weird," Tommy trailed off.
"How old are you?" Nick asked.
"15," Tommy said.

"Wow, so I'm the only one that would go to an actual prison in this group," Nick grumbled.
"How old are you?" Tommy interrogated.

"Oh please, as if I'm going to tell you," Nick grumbled.
"I-" Tommy began.

I'm here: Totally not Sketchy

News: cool so are we

U sure you want to do this? There's a reason I told you you could bring along someone else: Totally not Sketchy

News: the harder the better. It just means more pay to me

Arrogant kid. Fine, do you see my car?: Totally not sketchy

News: yea I see it

"He's here," I said.
Nick nodded and scanned the parking lot and I guess he eventually found him because he started walking towards a blacked-out van.

"Now this, I gotta admit, is sketchy," I joked nudging Tommy in the arm.
Tommy rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

The car window rolled down and a guy with red hair scanned us.
"Hey Nick," the red-head nodded.
"Hey Adrian," Nick nodded.

"How'd you get round up in this Sh-t?" The redhead asked.
"Aye, not all of us have experience. This little Sh-t just happens to only have a year of experience and still goin' for the big guns," Nick sighed.

"Language," I joked.
"Sorry little baby," Nick mocked.
"Oh it okay Nickie poo~," I joked.
"Cory no!" Nick wined.
"Oh Cory yes," I winked.

Nick rolled his eyes, "Boss in the back?"
Adrian nodded and the door opened.
"Woah! Magic!" Tommy yelped jokingly.
"Tommy. No," I held back a laugh.

He nodded and stared me right in the eye, "Cory, it is my destiny!"
"To kill and embarrass me?" I asked.
"In front of your older boyfriend? Oh yeah," Tommy joked.

"Ew! No, he's not my boyfriend!" I gagged my cheeks burning up and I hoped to the Holy lord that I wasn't blushing in front of Nick and Adrian.

"Pretty sure that's illegal," I heard the boss say from inside the car.
We climbed in and the door closed behind us.

"Although it's not like you don't do that for your job almost every day so-" boss contemplated.
"The shadow is talking!" Tommy gasped digging into my arm.

Boss laughed and the light turned on. Boss sat in front of us, he ran a hand through his graying hair.

"Hey boss," Nick nodded.
"Are you two a thing though?" Boss asked leaning closer.

My face heated up once more and I covered my face with my hands just in case.
"You are?" Boss asked poking me.
"Boss please," Nick wined.

"Ship it," Tommy joked.
"Thomas I swear!" I growled glaring at him.
"You shouldn't swear," Tommy jokingly lectured.
"I will break your neck," I threatened.

"Cool it, kid," Nick sighed.
"So, what's the deal?" Nick asked.

__-_-_---_-_-_--_-_-_-______-_-_'-----_-_-_____-_-_-------_-_-______-_------__-_-_-____

Tommy gawked at the giant mansion ahead of us.
"Dear lord Cory," Nick faintly murmured.
"You sure you want to go through with this?" Boss asked.
"I'm not going to say it again sir," I said.

"Tommy, close your mouth your drooling," I said hitting the younger boy in the arm.
"You said we'd be breaking into a house, not a mansion," Tommy gawked still staring at the giant mansion ahead of us.

"No, correction, I said we'd be breaking into some sort of house. A mansion is some sort of house, just a lot bigger than a normal house," I corrected him.

"I think I might start asking how big the place is from now on," Tommy murmured glancing around.
"I don't get that information," I stated.
"You're gonna have to from now on," Tommy huffed.

"Oh please Tommy," I grumbled.
I turned around just as the boss handed Nick a folder packed to the brim with papers.
"Get in, get the files, get out," the boss ordered.

"What if we can't find the file?" I asked.
"Then try your darn hardest to find it in as little time as possible," the boss said.
"If you need backup just text me. Try not to get caught boys," the boss stated.

"Yeah yeah, like you care," I grumbled.
"I care for all my workers Cory. The 23-year-olds the 30-year-olds and the 16-year-olds," Boss taking a nod to the 23-year-old Nick, the 30-year-old driver Adrian and me.

I rolled my eyes and looked away.
"Now, you going to do what I say, with the best accuracy you can. Try not to get caught or get killed. You hear me?" Boss ordered.

"Yeah yeah, whatever," I grumbled.
"Yes sir," Nick nodded.
"Uhm, do I count in this?" Tommy whispered.
"If any of you are caught, call me immediately," Boss said sternly.

"Yes that includes you too Cory's friend," Boss said giving Tommy his phone.
Tommy stared at the phone the older man had taken from him without him even realizing it.
"Holy moly," Tommy murmured staring at the new contact in his phone.

"Call," The boss ordered, "now, go."
We nodded and entered the strange property. We raced to the side door of the building. I carefully jiggled the lock.
"What are you doing?" Tommy asked.

"It's always good to check if the doors unlocked or not. If it is then you'd just be locking yourself out with the lock pick," I grumbled.
"Just keep a lookout Thomas," Nick growled.
"Tommy," Tommy corrected.

I carefully slid the Bobby pins safely in place and shifted it to unlock the door. I heard the satisfying click of it unlocking and I opened the door. I slid in and gently took the pins out from the lock.

"Come on~," I hissed impatiently
Tommy and Nick both slid inside I let the door close by itself.
"Bold move," Nick pointed out.
"Make it seem like the wind," I said taking a look around the place.

"So, where do you think it'd be?" I asked.
"Basement, office, or attic," Tommy said.
"Let's go with the basement first," I said.

We headed downstairs and opened the door at the bottom of the stairs.
On the other side was a room full of filing cabinets. We walked in and I opened one. All in all, there was about 30 file in that one drawer.
"Oh," I said staring at it.

"There's a whole lot of files in here," Tommy commented looking into a file cabinet of his own.
"Yeah, but not all of them are actually filled. My guess's to trick us. Some are stated as "Classified", others "Top Secret", some don't have a label at all, others are stated as "not important". So let's just say, Classified and Top Secret is our best bet to go. Look inside the files, find out if they have anything in them if they don't toss them aside if they do read them to find out if it's the right one," Nick explained.

"M'kay," I said scanning through the files.
I found a "top secret" one and I opened it up. Nothing. I put it back. I found another one. Opened it. Nothing. Put it back. I found a "classified" one. Pulled it out. Opened it. A hospital band slipped out and a document was found.

On the top, it read "Jeff the killer". I cringed at the name I turned and waved the file in the air," found something!"
"Cool! Read it!" Tommy ordered.

"Out loud, it's boring here," Tommy stated.
I chuckled and shook my head.

"Jeff the Killer

Jeff and his family moved into a new house. His brother, Liu, and he couldn't complain, the house was newer and bigger than the one they had before. When they were unpacking a woman knocked on the door.
"Hi! I'm Barbara, I live across the street," the woman introduced herself.
"I just wanted to introduce myself and my son, Billy," the woman explained.

She called to her son who came over from behind her.
"Billy, these are our new neighbors," The woman told the kid.
The kid said hi and hurried off to play once more.

"I'm Margaret, this is my husband Peter, and my sons Jeff and Liu," Jeff's mother introduced her family to the stranger.
Barbara happily invited the family to her son's birthday party and before the boys could reject their mom said they'd be happy to.

When they finished unpacking their things Jeff confronted his mother.
"Mom, why would you invite us to a random kid's party? If you haven't noticed I'm not some dumb kid," Jeff complained.

"Oh please Jeff," his mother sighed, "We just moved here, we should show that we want to be apart of the community."
"Now, we're going to that party, and that's final," his mother ordered.
Jeff wanted to protest but decided against it. Whatever his mother said, went.

He went back up to his room and plopped down on his bed. While staring at the ceiling, he got a weird feeling in the pit of his stomach. It wasn't pain, just a weird feeling.

He shrugged it off and went to collect his stuff when his mother called for him.

The next day Jeff got ready for school and as he was sitting at the table eating lunch he got the same strange feeling he did before. This time stronger. And yet again, he dismissed the pain.

He and Liu finished up breakfast and walked to the bus stop. As they sat waiting for the bus a kid on a skateboard jumped over them, just above their laps.
"Hey! What the-" Jeff cursed.

The kid landed and turned back to the brothers kicking up his skateboard.
"Well, looks like we've got some new meat," The boy chuckled.
To their other side, two more boys came by.

The first boy looked about 12. 1 year younger than Jeff. Another was fat and another was real skinny.

"Let me introduce ourselves, since your new and all," the first kid scoffed.
The kid pointed at the skinny one introducing him as Keith, the fat one, that looked like he'd never exercised in his life, was Troy.

"And I," the kid announced pausing for dramatic effect, "Am Randy. And for every kid in the neighborhood, there's a small bus fare. If ya' catch my drift."
Liu stood up, ready to completely knock this guy out.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. I was hoping you'd be more cooperative. I suppose we must do this the hard way." The kid sighed in mock disappointment.
One of Randy's goons flicked a knife out of his pocket and held it to Liu.

The kid walked up to Liu, knife still in hand, and slipped Liu's wallet out of his pocket. Jeff got the feeling in the pit of his stomach again. The churning feeling in his gut, and it was stronger than ever now.

Jeff stood up, Liu insisted that he sit back down but Jeff ignored his brother.
"Listen here punk, and listen good. Give back my brother's wallet or else," Jeff threatened.

Randy took the wallet from his friend's hands and waved it like a trophy mocking Jeff with it. He shoved the wallet in his pocket and pulled out a knife of his own.

"Oh? And what would you do?" The jerk teased, just as he finished the sentence Jeff's fist connected with Randy's face, square in the nose.

Randy reached for his face in absolute pain. As he did Jeff grabbed his wrist and snapped in, breaking the bone. Randy yowelled and Jeff took the knife from his hand. Keith and Troy ran at Jeff but he wasn't having it. He threw Randy to the ground and ducked right as Keith went to grab at him.

Jeff stabbed Keith in the arm. Keith screamed in pain and dropped the knife he was holding.
Keith dropped to the ground and Troy ran at Jeff. Jeff kicked him in the stomach and Troy stumbled back and puked up his last meal.

Liu could do nothing as he watched Jeff in amazement.
"Jeff, how did-?" Liu stammered out, it was the only thing he could get out before the bus rode up.

They knew they'd be blamed for what happened so the two ran. They ran as fast as they could. Behind them, the bus driver ran to the kids' aid.
Once the boys made it to school they spoke nothing of the event.

Liu just thought it was his brother beating up a few bullies but Jeff knows there was more to it. Something scary, more. He got the feeling now, the urge to hurt something, someone.

I didn't like the thought but, he couldn't help but feel happy. The feeling melted away and stayed away for the rest of the school day.

Even as he walked home due to the bus stop incident, and he was probably not going to take the bus anymore, he was happy.

When he got home his parents asked him about his day. In a somewhat ominous tone, he answered, "It was a wonderful day."

The next morning, there was a knock on the front door. Jeff went downstairs to find two officers at the door and his mother giving him a nasty look.

"Jeff, these officers tell me you attacked three kids," his mother explained disappointed, "not just attacked, stabbed. The kids were stabbed!"

Jeff took a deep breath and defended himself," they attacked us! They pulled a knife out on Liu!"
"We found three kids, 2 stabbed," an officer explained.

"The other with bruising on his stomach," the officer continued.
"We have a witness saying you fled the scene. Now, what do you think that tells us?" The officer asked.

Jeff bowed his head murmuring, "I-"
He had no clue how to defend himself or Liu. He could say that the guys attacked first but there was no proof to back him up. He couldn't say they weren't fleeing because truth be told, they were.

"Jeff, call down your brother."
Jeff didn't have the heart to. It was him who attacked them, Liu had nothing to do with it.

"Sir it. . . It was me. I'm the one who beat up the kids. Liu tried to hold me back but I wouldn't let him!" Jeff confessed quickly.

The cop and his partner took a good look at each other and then nodded.
"Well then kid, looks like it's a year in Juvy-" the cop started.

"Wait!" Liu yelled.
Everyone looked up the stairs at Liu who stood holding a knife in his hand.
The officers pulled their guns on Liu.

"It was me! I beat up those punks. Look, I have the marks to prove it!" Liu lied.
He pulled down his sleeve showing scratches and bruises as if there was a struggle.

"Son put the knife down!" One of the officers ordered.
Liu held up the knife and dropped it down on the ground. He raised his hands and descended the stairs to the officers.

"No, Liu! It was me, I beat up those kids!" Jeff yelled tears streaming down his face.

"No, it's okay bro. You don't have to take the blame for what I did. Well, take me away," Liu announced, still lying.
He held out his hands for the police to handcuff him.

The police did just that. Handcuffing Jeff's little brother and taking him to the police cruiser.
"Liu, tell them it was me! Tell them I beat up those kids!" Jeff begged.

"Jeff please, there's no need to lie. We know it's Liu," Their mom told Jeff her hands holding him by the shoulders keeping him from bolting out the door to his brother.

His father later came home and seeing his son's face he knew something was wrong.
"Son, son what's wrong?" His father asked but Jeff couldn't answer, he just kept sobbing.

His mother had to pull his father inside to tell him the bad news, leaving Jeff in the driveway weeping.

After a while, Jeff stumbled back inside. The look on his parents' faces were of disappointment, shock, sadness, and confusion.

He couldn't look at them. He didn't want to see how they thought of Liu when it was his fault, not Liu's.
Jeff just went straight to bed. His guilt and sadness overwhelming throughout the whole week.

That us until Saturday. His mother woke him up that morning, her face happy and bubbly.

"Jeff, today's the day!" His mother chimed opening up the curtains.
"What's today?" Jeff asked covering his eyes.
"Billy's party!" His mother announced.
By now he was fully awake.

"You've got to be kidding me. You really expect me to go to that kid's party after what-" Jeff trailed off.

"We both know what happened. I think this party will brighten your day. Now, get dressed," his mother ordered.

She left to go get dressed. Jeff dressed in a pair of jeans and a random shirt he had. He walked down the stairs to find his parents all dressed up.
His mother in a dress and his father in a suit.

"Is that what you're wearing?" His father asked.
"Better than wearing too much," Jeff rolled his eyes.
"We may be overdressed, but this is what you wear when you want to make an impression," his father told him.

Jeff grumbled and marched back up to his room.
"I don't have anything fancy!" Jeff yelled.
"Just pick something out!" His mother yelled.

Jeff grumbled and searched his closet. He picked out a pair of black dress pants and searched for a shirt to go with it. When he was unable to find one he just sighed and wore a white hoodie.

"You're wearing that?" His parents both said.
His mother checked her watch and groaned, "no time to change, let's go."

They crossed the street and knocked on Barbara's door. She opened it up and was, like his parents, way over-dressed. As they walked inside Jeff only saw adults. No kids.

"The kids are all outside. How about you go to meet them?" Barbara suggested.
Jeff went with the flow and stalked outside where a hoard of kids flooded the yard.

The kids were running around with cowboy hats and water guns happily shooting at each other. He felt a tug on his hoodie and he looked to see a kid holding a spare Cowboy hat and water gun.

"Wanna pway?" The kid asked.
"Uh, no kid. I'm too old for this stuff," Jeff insisted.
"Pwease!" The boy begged giving him big watery puppy dog eyes.

Jeff sighed, "Fine."
He took the gun and put the cowboy hat on and began squirting the water at them.

At first, he felt ridiculous but eventually, he was starting to have fun. A whole lot of it. Sure it might not have been super cool, but it was the first thing to be able to take his mind off Liu.

So he played with the kids for a good while until he heard a noise. A weird rolling noise. Then it hit him. He turned just as Randy, Troy, and Keith jumped the fence with their skateboards.

Jeff dropped the gun and snatched the cowboy hat off his head. (Though he probably should have kept the water gun so he could spray them all with water.)

Randy stared at Jeff with a burning hatred.
"Why hello, Jeff is it?" Randy mocked, "I suppose we have some unfinished business."

Jeff studied his bruised nose and said, "I think we're even. I beat you up, you sent my brother to jail."
"No, I don't believe in even, I believe in winning," Randy growled.

"You might have kicked our butts that day but not today," Randy growled finally rushing Jeff.
The two stumbled to the ground. Randy punched Jeff on the nose and Jeff grabbed Randy's ears and headbutted him.

Jeff pushed the other off him and the two stood. Kids were screaming their heads off and parents were rushing out to see the commotion.

Keith and Troy pulled guns out of seemingly nowhere(hold up, is this an anime?) and held them up.
"No one interferes or guts will fly," the two gloated.

Randy pulled a knife out and stabbed it into Jeff's shoulder.
Jeff cried out in pain and fell to his knees. Randy started kicking Jeff in the face.

On the third kick, Jeff grabbed his ankle and twisted it letting Randy fall.
Jeff got up and began for the door.

Troy's hands grabbed him and he was lifted up.
"Need some help?" Troy asked and chucked Jeff through the patio door.

As Jeff struggled to get up he was kicked once more. The kicks repeated until Jeff started hacking up blood.

"Come on Jeff, fight!" Randy taunted him.
He picked Jeff up and threw him into the kitchen. He spotted a bottle of vodka and smirked.

He took the bottle of vodka off the counter and smashed it over Jeff's head.
Randy kept taunting him, fight, fight, fight as he threw Jeff into the living room.

"Come of Jeff, look at me," Randy ordered.
Jeff glanced up at the boy over him.

"I'm the one who put your brother in jail! Now you're just going to sit here and let him rot! You should be ashamed," Randy taunted.
Finally, Jeff began to stand up.

The blood and Vodka dripped down his face. The feeling, deep inside his gut, that he hadn't felt for a while came back.
"Finally, he's up!" Randy said mock enthusiastically.

He rushed a Jeff again. And that's when he snapped. His rational thinking leaves and the only thing he can think to do is kill. He took Randy and drove him straight into the floor. He punched Randy senseless until he stopped moving.

Everyone was staring at Jeff now. Parents, their kids, even Troy and Keith. But they quickly point their guns at Jeff.

Jeff, seeing the guns trained on him, ran upstairs. Keith and Troy shooting at him all the way up. And every shot misses. He could hear Troy and Keith rushing up the stairs after him. Jeff ducked into the bathroom and yanked the towel rack off the wall.

Troy and Keith rush in Knives on the ready. Troy swings his knife but Jeff was quicker. Jeff hits Troy in the face with the towel rack making Troy go down hard.

Jeff swung the towel rack at Keith, the last remaining offender. But Keith was more agile, he ducked out of the way, dropping his knife and took hold of Jeff's neck. Keith pushed Jeff into the wall causing the bleach to fall into both of them.

The two boys screamed in agony. Jeff tried to wipe the bleach from his eyes desperately. He pulled the towel rack back and swung it hitting Keith in the face. He laid on the ground bleached and bleeding out, yet he still grinned.

"What? What's so funny?" Jeff gasped for air.
"Oh nothing, just the fact that you're covered in bleach and alcohol," Keith reminded him as a pulled a lighter out of his pocket.

He lit it up and grinned as Jeff realized what he was about to do. Keith threw the lit lighter at Jeff. The alcohol ignited and while the fire burned him the bleach bleached his skin a snowy white.

Jeff screamed in horror as the fire made him a living inferno. He tried rolling the flame out but it was no use. He ran down the stairs. Everyone started to scream seeing him. The last thing he could remember before blacking out was his mother and other parents trying to put out the flames.

When Jeff finally woke up he had a cast on his face, a cast on his shoulder, stitches everywhere, and a tube in his arm.
When he tried to get up the tube started to fall out.
"Woah, Woah hey! I don't think you can get out of bed just yet," a nurse rushed in.

She settled him back down and reinserted the tube into his arm.
After hours of darkness for Jeff, he finally heard his mother's wonderful voice, "honey, are you alright?"

Even if Jeff wanted to speak he wouldn't be able to.
"Oh honey, I have wonderful news. After the witnesses said that Randy confessed to attacking you the police decided it'd be best to let Liu go!" Jeff's mother announced.

This news almost made Jeff bolt up from his bed and dance around the room in joy but he stopped himself remembering the tube in his arm.
"Liu'll be out by tomorrow! You two will be together again very soon!" She announced happily.

His mother gave him a huge hug and said her goodbyes. The next few weeks were full of family visits. In fact, his family was there when the cast around his face was removed.

The doctor unwrapped the bandages for the most part and before the last bandage holding the cover for his face was removed the doctor said, "let's hope for the best."

When the doctor finished unwrapping Jeff's face. Once his mother saw his face she couldn't help but scream. Liu and Jeff's father both were awe-struck and stared at his face.

"What? What's happened to my face?" Jeff asked.
He hurried out of bed and to the bathroom. He looked into the mirror to see what had caused such despair.

His face. . . . Looked horrible, truly horrible. His lips were burnt to a deep shade of red, his skin was bleached to a snowy white color and his hair was singed from it's brown to black.

He put a hand slowly to his face feeling it. It felt a lot more like leather now. He looked at his family then back into the mirror.

Liu was the first to speak up, taking a step forward saying, "Jeff, it's not that bad."
"Not that bad?" Jeff asked looking at his family.

The family was expecting an outburst but instead, Jeff smiled saying, "It's perfect!"
Let's just say that his family was surprised.

Jeff's left eye and hand started twitching while he stared at himself in the mirror basking in his own beauty.
"Jeff, are you okay?" Liu asked.

"Okay? I've never been so happy in my life!" Jeff announced happily laughing.
"Just look at me. My face goes perfectly with my everything!" Jeff said pleased.

As Jeff basked in his own beauty with Liu by his side his mom whispered to the doctor.
"Hey, doc. Is my son. . . Alright? You know, mentally?" She asked.

"Oh of course. This is common with patients who've taken large doses of painkillers. If it doesn't change in a few weeks bring him back, we'll perform a psychological test," the doctor informed.

"Thank you, doctor," she sighed.
She strutted up to Jeff and put a hand on his shoulder happily saying, "come on Jeff, sweety. It's time to go."

Jeff looked away from the mirror and stared at her with an unhinged smile.
"Kay, mommy," Jeff laughed.
They headed to the front desk and the lady handed the white hoodie and black dress pants that were now stitched back together and washed of the blood.

Jeff's mother led him to the room and made him put his clothes on. After he got dressed the family left. Not knowing that that was the last they'll see of anyone but their family.
Their last day to live.

Later that very night Jeff and Liu's mother awoke to sounds coming from the bathroom. She climbed out of bed and stalked her way to the bathroom to find Jeff supposedly crying.

Unfortunately, that wasn't what she was horrified of when she looked in. Jeff had carved a smile deep into his cheeks with a knife.

"J-Jeff, darling, what are you doing?" She stammered.
Jeff looked up at her his smile dripping with blood.
"I couldn't keep smiling mommy, it hurt after a while. But now I can! I can smile forever!" Jeff said happily.

Then she noticed the black rings around his eyes. They seemed never closing.
"Jeff, your eyes!" She shrieked.

"I couldn't see my face, I got tired and my eyes started to close. So I burned out my eyelids, in order to see myself forever; my new face!" He grinned, which was horrifying.

She started to back away from her, officially insane, son.
"What's wrong mommy? Aren't I beautiful?" He asked.
"Y-yes, of course. Y-you and Liu will a-always be my be-beautiful boys," she stumbled.
"Let me g-get daddy so he can see your b-beautiful face too," she stammered and stumbled away back to her bedroom.

She shook her husband awake.
"Honey, get the gun we-" she began but she stopped once seeing Jeff in the hallway with the knife.

That was the last thing they saw. And the last thing they heard was, "mommy, you lied." Because Jeff rushed them, gutting them in their bed.

Liu woke up due to a sound startling him. When he heard nothing else he laid back down and began to doze off once more. Just as he was on the borderline of slumber and half asleep he got the strangest feeling. As if he was being watched or something.

He reopened his eyes and looked up. Jeff stood over him. Jeff covered his mouth and raised the knife, ready to plunge it into his brother.

Liu struggled to get out of Jeff's grip.
"Shhhh Liu," Jeff whispered, "go to sleep."
