Savior in Disguise {Hoodie x Reader}

You and your boyfriend, Derek, have been going out for almost a year and a half.

At first, thing were beautiful and almost like it was from a dream. He'd buy you flowers on random days, bring chocolates to you, and would take you out spontaneously on dates.

One of the most memorable times with Derek was when you two went on a date to an expensive restaurant just a few miles away from your apartment. You were eating ice cream after the expensive meal you had just finished and he was making you laugh. You both took a walk by the beach, kicking up sand and splashing at each other. Near by, a band was playing a show song and he took you by the hand and lead you into the shallow water up to your ankles and the two of you danced into the night. That was the night you decided to let him move into your apartment.

That was one month ago. Lately, he's changed. You've noticed he spends more time playing his games on his Xbox One, talking to his friends, and going out to clubs without you. At first, you didn't mind because you didn't want to pry in on his own life. After all, you did hang out with your friends every now and then, too.

Tonight, he was out at the bar with a few friends, or so you thought. It was late, and you began to get worried, wondering if Derek was okay. Four in the morning rolls around and he finally comes home.

"Derek!" You exclaimed excitedly, running over to him as he closed the front door.

He shied away, but reluctantly hugged you as you wrapped your arms around him.

"I was becoming worried." You admitted to him, looking up at his tan facial features.

That was when you realized the 'love marks' placed on the side of his neck. Deciding that they weren't what you thought they were, you began questioning him.

"Did you get into a fight?" You asked, gently poking the dark area on his neck.

"Hmm? Oh," He covered his neck quickly, "Yes."

"What happened?"

"Do you have to know everything, (Y/N)? If so, someone punched me in the face." He pushed away from you, setting his car keys down.

"But the marks are on your neck. There's no marks on your face." You spoke softly, watching as he made his way to the kitchen.

"Yeah, well, shit happens." Derek chuckled darkly.

"What do you mean?" You asked, making your way over to him.

"Obviously I didn't get into a fight, dumbass," Derek laughed, "Are you that dumb?"

You glared over at him. "Where were you?"

"I was at some girls house for a few hours." Derek poured himself a glass of water and began drinking it.

Your heart immediately sank to your stomach. "W-why?"

"It's not like you pay attention to me. Let alone give me what I want." Derek pointed out.

Anger built up inside of you as you quickly walked over to Derek and grabbed his glass of water. You dumped it over his head and set the glass down in the sink and began backing away.

"What the hell!?" Derek yelled at you, grabbing the cup and hurling it at you.

As you tried to dodge it, you slipped, falling onto the now broken shards of the cup around you. The palms of your hands were covered in bits of glass and blood.

"You should have just minded your own business!" Derek shouted, walking over to you and kicking you down as you tried to stand up.

He grabbed you by your hair and pulled you up, shoving you towards the living room.

Your apartment was on the second floor and there was a small balcony. If you needed to, you could jump off, the drop shouldn't be too high up, right?

"Derek! I'm sorry!" You cried as you looked towards your escape plan.

As soon as your eyes laid upon the glass doors leading to the balcony, you saw a being climbing up.

Derek shoved you onto the couch before you could get a better glimpse at the intruder and began slapping your face. You held your hands up in defense and tried kicking him away. One of your kicks hit him in the stomach, making him fall backwards and into the glass coffee table, shattering it.

"Derek?" You asked as he laid still on the ground.

"Derek, are you okay?" You whimpered, standing up and walking slowly towards him.

As you bent over to check on Derek, he lunged up and the glass door behind you broke.

You jumped backwards and turned around to come face-to-face with someone you've never seen before.

He had a yellowish sweatshirt on and his face was pure black with bright red eyes and a red slit mouth.

Before you had time to react to his appearance, Derek grabbed you and pulled you back towards him.

"Get out of my apartment." Derek snarled.

The hooded man just stood there, staring intently at you.

"I said get out!" Derek shouted, throwing you to the side and charging the intruder.

The hooded man dodged to the side, shoving Derek to the ground. Derek picked up a piece of the shattered glass and began swiping it at the intruder. He ended up slicing at the black man's hand.

As the hooded man stumbled backwards, Derek stood up and began swinging the piece of glass at him. The red eyed man looked at you and a pang of guilt spread through your chest as Derek sank the piece of glass into the man's shoulder blade.

"No!" You shouted, running and jumping onto Derek's back.

"Get off of me!" Derek shouted, spinning around.

Derek suddenly stopped moving and you jumped off to inspect what had happened. The hooded man's hand and cuff of his sleeve were covered in blood. He had a knife jammed into Derek's stomach, twisting it around.

As Derek went to fight back, the hooded man shoved the knife deeper in, making Derek fall to the ground.

You started backing up in horror as the black-skinned man stood up and started walking to you.

"I won't hurt you." He muttered, his head hanging low as he reached his hand up to his injured shoulder.

"How do I know that?" You responded, cowering by your couch.

"If I wanted to, you would've been laying on the ground next to that guy." He winced.

You glared at him. "Who are you?"

"Just call me Hoodie."

"Alright, Hoodie," you spoke slowly, "if you so much as think about hurting me, I will call the cops."

"You'd be dead before the cops got here." Hoodie shot back.

Your eyes widened at his response.

"I didn't mean it that way." Hoodie sighed. "Can you pull this glass out of my shoulder, please?"

Hoodie spun around, exposing his yellow, sweatshirt back with a red blood stain dripping down it. You slowly walked over to him, grabbing a nearby blanket. As you gripped the piece of glass with the blanket, you pulled the glass out of him. He groaned in response.

As you wrapped the glass up in the blanket, he turned around.

"Thank you." He said softly.

He began walking towards the balcony and hopped up onto the railing, jumping down. You ran to the balcony and leaned over it.

"Wait!" You shouted down to him.

Hoodie turned around and glanced up at you.

"Am I going to see you again?" You asked, staring intently at his red eyes.

He shrugged. "We'll just have to wait and see."
