Holding Back Emotions {Slenderman x Reader}
Blank face. Black suit. Tendrils that grew at will. Ever since you were young, you always knew who he was. You always knew he was watching. Kind of like Santa Claus, just without all of the cheer and giving. No... this being was far from cheery and he took everything- including you.
It's been years since you entered the Slender Woods. You barely even remember your life outside of there. All you remember is him. Strangely enough, you were okay with that.
"Y/N, you're not focusing," Slender called out.
He's been trying to train you to go out into the world as one of his followers; yet you still don't seem to grasp the concept. It's not that you weren't listening, it was more of you felt like if you left, you wouldn't see him anymore.
"Can we just be done for the day, Slendy?" You asked, batting your eyes.
"That does not work with me, short stuff. I have no emotions, leaving me unsympathetic. Sorry," Slender replied, crossing his arms.
"Don't I already know that." You huffed, remembering all of the tears you shed in front of him, yet he never once comforted you.
"It's just how I am," Slender held out his hand, waiting for you to grasp it.
It's been Slender and you for quite a few years now, never anyone else. Well, except the few others he gained control over and sent out in the world. But nobody ever stayed long, except you.
You took his hand, just like the many times before. Each and every time you did, you felt as if the bond between the two of you grew stronger and stronger. You tried to keep your emotions and feelings hidden in fear that Slender would find out and vanish.
"Hungry?"
You nodded as the two of you began to walk deeper into the woods. As you continued walking, the scene before you suddenly changed and you were in front of a campfire with pieces of deer cooking over it.
You never really knew how he did it, but he always managed to have food ready for you when you needed it. Without hesitation, you sat down and pulled the already cooked meat off of the fire and began eating. Slender took a seat on the other side of the fire.
You took a bite and began to talk through a full mouth of food. "I was wondering if, tomorrow, we can take a break from the training, or whatever you call it, and just have a relaxing day to us."
Slender was poking at the fire. He shrugged. "If that's what you want, I don't mind."
That was the thing. Whatever you wanted, he seemed to be at your command. You could ask for anything in the world, and he would do anything in his power to make sure you had it.
"Don't get too carried away now, short stuff." He said blankly, "Your thoughts are making me seem like a genie."
You laughed and took another bite of the meat. There was a downfall with being around someone who could read your thoughts all the time. Nothing was ever hidden between the two of you.
You glanced over the fire at the faceless man. He seemed so calm. Weird, right? Someone who caused so much chaos and panic in the world, and yet here he is right in front of you looking as if he was harmless.
Well, to you he was harmless. He could slaughter the whole world in front of your eyes and you'd still look at him as if nothing happened.
"You know, your thoughts aren't too quiet tonight." Slender commented from the other side of the camp fire.
You nearly choked on your food. It wasn't exactly your fault, but you thought it would be nice if he could just stay out of your head and thoughts for just a few moments.
"Sorry," You muttered.
"It's alright."
Holding back any thoughts of him, you finished your food and stretched out, laying backwards. The stars were awfully dim, but that was expected. Slender seemed to have that affect on everything. You were okay with it though.
Your eyes grew heavy as you began to drift to sleep. Every night after falling asleep, Slender would pick you up and teleport you to a bed or safer place where nothing could disturb your slumber.
A few hours go by and you roll over, but find yourself in the same place that you fell asleep in. The fire had gone out and the sound of whispering could be heard. You decided to close your eyes and listen in.
"Eventually you have to give Y/N up, you don't have a choice." You could hear an unfamiliar voice say.
"That's not happening. We've been through this before. Now, please leave so I can get Y/N somewhere comfier to rest." Slender responded, almost as if he was getting frustrated.
"You know it's going to happen sooner or later, Slendy. If I was you, I'd just give'm up already," the voice chuckled.
Though at first it was unfamiliar, you began to trace the raspy vocals back to the one and only, Jeff the Killer. He was one of the few that Slender had sent out in the world a while back. But what is he talking about? Give you up...?
Do not worry, Y/N- Slender said to you, sending it through your mind.
The odd part about it all was, you weren't worried. You knew Slender wouldn't let anything negative happen to you.
"You can leave now, Jeffrey," Slender growled.
"I was told not to leave without Y/N this time." He responded.
"Over my dead body." Slender quickly shot back.
"That can easily be arranged."
There was a scuffling and growling going on for a few moments. You were unsure of what to do, so you just laid still. Eventually, it all stopped.
Footsteps approached you and you became worried. Was it Jeff or Slender? You felt the familiar feeling of Slender's tendrils wrap around you and instantly you sprang up, wrapping your arms around Slender's torso. He seemed taken back by the action, but eventually put his arms around you.
"I'm not leaving you." You cried out.
"I wouldn't want you to, unless you wanted." Slender replied, rubbing your back with a single hand.
You shook your head. The last thing you wanted to do was leave him.
After a few moments, you pulled away and saw you were in run down shack, similar to the ones from previous nights. It was cozy in an odd way. There was a bed, a recliner, dining room table, and an old fridge with a few other miscellaneous things.
Slender took a seat in the recliner and leaned backwards. You glanced at the bed and then at him. What you wanted to do was curl up in a ball on his lap and sleep in his arms, knowing that was enough to make you feel safe and secure.
"Then what's stopping you, short stuff?" Slender responded to your thoughts.
You blushed as you walked over to him. The question lingered over you as you curled up in a ball on his lap, resting your head on his chest: does he really have no emotions towards you, or was he trying to hide them to keep the image he's been given?
This was a request from about 5 months ago from a reader! I completely forgot about it and then realized I haven't done anything to this book in quite a while! Hope you enjoyed the chapter!
