Getting Asked Out by The Slenderman
I listened to the crunch of the leaves under my feet, the wind gently making it's way by and moving my hair around gently. I pulled up my hood, tucking some hair back. I was originally having a lazy day, I was going to sit at home and spend the day in a pair of sweats, being a bit improper just by myself, but now here I am in jeans and an oversize hoodie to hide the fact I wasn't much in the mood to put on a shirt under it. Slender had asked me to meet him out here, claiming I would know the way on my own, which I guess is kind of true... I knew it was only another three minutes heading this way, and that it was by a lake that I had never seen before.
The black suit caught my attention, and he turned as if he knew I was there already. I waved at him and gave him a smile, I could just tell he was feeling nervous about something, but what could it be? "You said you wanted to see me?" I said, the questioning tone that I gave to it indicating that I was wondering as to why. "Well, I felt that since you had invited me into your own home, to read your books, share dinner with you, that you should be welcomed into my home. I wanted to know if you would like to see where I am from." Slender said, I smiled, and felt touched by his actions. There was just a small part of me that knew he hadn't done this in a very long time, which could of been why I felt so touched by his actions. "Of course," I smiled, and he let out a small sigh of relief.
"Just close your eyes, I can't show you how to get there, it's against the rules." He said, taking my hand within his. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I was so excited, but I didn't want to come off like I was anything but thankful. The temperature changed to more humid, warm one, and I slowly opened my eyes. The forest we were in was obviously different, the trees were skinny, slim, and creepily lined up in straight lines accompanied with a thick fog.
"This is where I am from, the area I live in," he said, and put a hand on my back, leading me to an area. There was a house, a large mansion, three stories from what I could tell, and there was a small girl in a pink dress that sat on the stairs. As soon as she saw Slender, she jumped up to her feet. "Slendy!" She yelled, running over to him and jumping in his arms, he lifted her up and let her rest on his hip, she smiled at me. "Is this (your name)?" She giggled, Slender nodded his head and she waved at me.
"I'm Sally!" She introduced herself, the familiar black hoodie looked out of the door, I could see the blue mask. "Sally, that's where you wee hiding." He laughed and made his way over, Slender handed her to Jack and Sally pulled his hood down over the eyeholes in his mask. "Hey, (your name)", he said, sending me a wave and turning back to the mansion. "I'd rather you not meet the others that live in the house for awhile.." he laughed as he grabbed my hand, I didn't have time to laugh before or even think before a sudden rush, and I was in a warm office. I shuddered at the feeling, Slender was sitting in a large office chair made of black leather.
I gasped as I saw the walls of the office, they were lined with books, from floor to ceiling, shelves upon shelves of paperbacks, hardbacks, thin, thick, it was enough to take away my breath. "I knew you would like it," I clasped my hands together and looked at him with admiration. "This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen before." I cried out, still in shock. He stood up and picked a book off of his desk, walking around it and handing it to me. "I thought you would like this book.." He said, I could feel how nervous he was. I grabbed the book, and saw a small piece of paper saving a spot in the book.
I carefully opened the book, trying to not let the paper fall out. It was folded multiple times, and with each unfold I managed to do, the more nervous Slender got until I completely unfolded it. There, printed in neat handwriting in pen, were the words. 'Would you like to accompany me on a date (your name)'. I gasped, smiling as I reread the letter over and over. I had been waiting for this moment since we started to see each other on an almost daily basis. I looked up at Slender, who was waiting for n answer and I jumped into his arms like how the eager Sally had done earlier.
"I would love to."
