His Tranquility (A Slenderman x Pretty Lady One-Shot)
(This one-shot contains sexual themes and slight NSFW. You have been warned)
Slender worked away at his desk, going through the tall stack of paperwork that sat in the corner. He had been working all day, with hardly any breaks, the only sound from the room being the shuffling of paper and the scribble of a pen. Sometimes he would lean back in his large, black leather chair, running his long hands down his face, a tired sigh escaping from him. He wanted to go ahead and stop for the day, he had hours ago, but Slender wanted to get all of it done today, as more would pile up along with it the next day. He had finished his fourth cup of coffee a while ago, only a few coffee grounds left in the cup, though Slender hardly noticed. His mind was solely focused on the paperwork; it was getting finished today, he would see to that. Slender got back into his trace and started scribbling away again, hardly noticing the passage of time as he worked.
More hours ticked by, and some questioned if he was ever going to come out of his office, though none dared to disturb him. In the state of mind he was in, if Slender was disturbed, he would grow very irritated and moody, as it would take him longer to get back into the mindset he was in and start working again. Even as the scent of that night's dinner wafted in the air could not stir Slender from his office. Slender only focused on it for a second before going back to the paper in front of him. He didn't even notice when the door creaked open slightly, one of his proxies, Masky, coming to tell him that dinner was ready. When the tall man did not reply, and only continued to write on the document, Masky closed the door, walking back to inform today's cook, Jack, that Slender would not be eating for a while; he might not even eat at all. So, everyone else fixed their plates and began to eat and chat, all while the head of the household continued to write away at his desk, the stack of papers dwindling with every paper he finished.
About an hour after dinner had been served, a knock came at Slender's office door, though Slender hardly paid it any mind. He hardly even heard it when it came again, a little louder this time, so engrossed in his work that his mind was filled with nothing but words. Those words fell onto the paper via the pen he held in his hand, never stalling as the door creaked open. Soft footsteps made their way inside his office, the door shutting with a click behind them, slowly making their way over to the desk. A familiar floral scent wafted through the air, but it completely missed Slender's senses, who was nearly finished with yet another document. The stack still had a ways to go before being completed, and he was determined to finish them by tonight. The other person in the room seemed to notice this, their footsteps nearing the back of Slender's chair, peeking over to see what he was working so hard on.
After a minute of nothing but the sounds of pen to paper, a hand came to gently caress the man's cheek. The soft, familiar skin that met him suddenly drew him away from his paperwork, not being able to help but lean into the gentle touch. A sigh of relief and recognition came from him, his hand finally releasing the black pen, coming up to take the delicate one caressing him, placing a gentle kiss upon the palm of it.
"You didn't come to dinner, so I thought I should check on you." the woman behind him said softly, her voice easing his senses even more, practically melting into her touch.
He glanced up to look into her eyes, those colorful pools of green, with a hint of blue and pink, being ones he adored. The gentle smile that graced her features added to her radiant beauty, matching her perfect nose and fair skin. It took every part of Slender to not reach up to let his fingers run through her long blonde hair, which he always brought to his lips when he reached the light green tinge at the bottom of it. This beautiful creature, this woman, was the only thing that could tear him from his work, if only for a moment.
"I need to get the rest of this paperwork done," he stated, his deep voice seeming to echo through the room, though it was only in the woman's mind, for he did not bother to form a mouth at the moment. "It will only pile up more if I do not get it done tonight."
The woman nodded, her smile being an understanding one, though her eyes had a glimpse of concern in them. "Even if that is so, you must eat at some point." she replied, Slender gently releasing her hand, though every inch of his being yearned to touch her more. "It will do you no good to starve yourself, let alone work yourself to death. Why not let one of the boys finish it for you? You and I both know they are quite capable; well, at least Tim and Brian are."
Ah, that was one of the things Slender admired about her. She always got to know every member of the household. Whether they be a long-time resident or newcomer, she always called them by name, not by the alias they were known for. Her compassion and care showed, and he adored her for it.
"Yes, I know they are quite capable, but this is something I would like to complete on my own." Slender insisted, glancing down at the nearly finished document he had been working on. "I vowed to complete it before tomorrow's workload came in, and I intend to keep that vow."
The woman, once again, nodded, her understanding smile never wavering, nor did the concerned look in her eyes. She rubbed his shoulder gently before stepping away from his chair, walking back over to the door that led out of the office, speaking to him as she did so.
"Even so, I will fetch some dinner for you. I've managed to keep it hot, so you may have a warm meal as you work. I'll be back in a moment."
With that, she opened the door and exited the office, closing it back before making her way down the hall. As her footsteps faded away, Slender went back to his work, though his mind would go back to her every now and again, yearning to hear her soft voice again. She returned a short time later, a hot plate of food in one hand, a cup of tea in the other, placing it on the desk opposite the stack of papers.
"I expect that plate to be clean by the time your work is done." she stated, making her way out of the office was more, though lingered at the doorway and looked back at him.
The front of her body pressed against the doorframe, her arm lingering on the wall beside it, one of her long legs draped over the door frame as well.
"Do not stay up too late. We don't want your sleep schedule getting messed up again."
She lingered for a second longer after she spoke before closing the office door, the last thing Slender saw of her being her shimmering eyes and soft smile. Slender had to grip his leg tightly, before and after she left, the sight of her leaning against the door frame sending a familiar urge throughout his body; an intensifying temptation. He could not deny how much he wanted to pull her back into his office, to ravish her body as he saw fit, to hear that voice of her sing throughout his office. How could such a beautiful creature such as she drive him so mad with temptation, while still calming him so? Slender did not have the answers to that; it was just part of her charms, he supposed. Slender shook his head before finally releasing the harsh grip on his leg, slowly focusing his mind back on his work. However, he did not neglect the hot plate of food beside him, eating it bit by bit as he worked, pausing every so often to sip the tea that was served along with it. It was one of his favorite blends, hardly being able to help the hum that escaped him as he tasted it, knowing his beloved had picked it out just to ease his stress.
His thoughts slowly went back to her as his work started to come to an end, picturing her face as he signed the last piece of paperwork. He remembered how he had met the fair creature, though he admitted it was not a pleasant encounter. It was back when he was still a sadistic, uncaring creature, hunting down victims for his own sick pleasures. One day, he had set his sights on a young man, a depressed and lonely one due to a heart condition. The young man knew he would die before he reached his thirties, and this saddened him greatly; someone Slender thought of as a perfect target. However, when he started to make his way into the man's life, by nightmares and sickness, that woman appeared before him. Apparently, she had been protecting the man since he was a child, and was not going to let Slender have him so easily.
Slender had thought he could easily get rid of the woman, as she seemed frail and weak; a lowly creature who would be no match against something like him. Oh, how wrong he had been. She proved to be a force to be reckoned with, something even Slender could not defeat, the woman wounding him a great number of times. They fought almost every other day, Slender never being able to get close to his target, hardly affecting him at all. When the man finally died, the woman was there with him, Slender witnessing as she wept for her loss, something he could not understand at the time. Slender thought he would finally be rid of her, leaving the area after the man's death, in search of another victim. He did not know the woman would follow him.
She seemed to appear every time it was inconvenient for Slender, saving his would-be victims from him, always causing him deep hatred and anger towards her. As the years went by, the woman slowly began to have an influence on Slender, her words seeming to haunt his mind wherever he went. This eventually led to Slender's renewal, his biggest turnpoint being when he took Sasha in, mainly due to his brother's insistence. Slender did not want to take in the woman his brother had been in love with, not caring if she now shared his blood, but the woman's influence had convinced him to let her stay. Her voice whispered to him, slowly changing him, his sadism and cruelty decreasing by the year. While Slender still did not consider himself a good person, as he still had some of the sadism and cruelty he once had, the woman had changed him into something he never knew he could be. She had made him into a better person, and while he had once despised her for it, he now praised her for it.
She was his weakness, and she knew that, but she never used it for evil intentions; she used it to better himself and those around him. The caring creature he had once hated, he now loved, and he constantly thanked her for coming into his life. In a way, she had saved him from what he was, and while he wasn't a good person, not yet, he would continue to try because it made her happy. Those hands that caressed him and comforted him; Slender would never forget that they were once wrapped around his throat, running him into the ground with such force. He could not defeat her then, and even if he could now, Slender knew he wouldn't want to. His enemy had turned into his beloved, and he wouldn't change that for anything in the world. Snapping himself out of his thoughts, he checked the clock hung on the wall, noticing that it was now nearing eleven o'clock in the evening.
Had it really been that long since she had brought him dinner? Slender organized the papers into a binder, leaving them at his desk for Hoodie to pick up in the morning, before picking up his plate and empty glass and exiting his office. He placed the dishes in the sink before making his way up to his bedroom, which was one the top floor of the mansion. As he passed by the many doors on the many floors, he could hear all who lived there carrying on in their free time, taking time to linger at Sasha's room for a few seconds. With time and a lot of patience, he had grown to accept Sasha into the family, and while they still were not very close, he felt pride whenever she referred to him as a brother. Though, how she got along with Offender more than him, he would never know; maybe it was because they were both the rebellious sort. He let his hand brush her door as he continued on his way, walking up another flight of stairs before finally reaching the top floor.
He could have easily teleported, but, every now and again, he liked to take a walk and stretch his abnormally long legs. A familiar floral scent claimed him as he stood before his bedroom door, breathing it in as he opened it. His beloved laid on the bed, putting the finishing touches on a flower crown, which was likely meant for Sally, or some other child she watched over. She had always been the motherly type, and it had grown on him a little bit, which was another one of the many things he had to thank her for. Her long locks barely touched the bed, watching as she looked up to face him, another soft smile claiming her features as she acknowledged him. He soft shut the large door behind him, big enough for him to fit through, the high ceilings also accommodating his height. The woman looked so small on the equally large bed that it almost looked comical, though it had become such a normal sight that Slender no longer chuckled at it.
He would always remember the playful glare she gave him the first time he chuckled at her for that. 'Oh, hush! You're laughing at me, an average height woman, while you're an abnormally tall man.' she had laughed, Slender remembering it fondly.
"Did you finally get it all done?" she asked, snapping Slender back to reality, the woman having set the flower crown to the side as she turned her full attention to him.
"Yes, it took longer than I expected it to." he replied, adjusting his tie as he glanced around the room.
He always made sure everything in his room was in order, the way he liked it; Sasha had always called it OCD.
"Well, hopefully you won't have much work to do tomorrow." she commented, standing up and smoothing down her dress. "If there is a lot to do, I implore you to have Tim and Brian do some of it. You've worked yourself hard enough this week."
"Yet it is only Tuesday?" Slender questioned, feeling that familiar feeling again as she brushed her small hand against his large one.
"Yes, we don't need you working yourself to death." she replied, looking at him with a kind but stern look. "I am certified in the medical practice, so it'd be wise to listen to me."
"Comforting to know that I have a private nurse on hand." Slender jokes, chuckling as the woman slapped his arm gently.
After a few moments of silence, the woman gently took his hand in hers.
"I was thinking about taking a late night walk before bed. Care to join me?"
Slender nodded and agreed, the woman being able to tell that, if he had a mouth at that moment, he would be smiling. The woman slipped out the window upon his answer, seeming to glide down with ease, likely with the help of that mysterious magic she possessed. Even though he could possibly be considered one, Slender would never exactly understand fairies...or whatever she was. The woman didn't exactly know herself, the two having discussed it at some point during their relationship, while it was still platonic. She didn't like to dwell on it much, considering it a distraction, preferring everyone to treat her as if she was a normal human being; even though everyone knew she was far from that. Everyone in that mansion and beyond knew how terrifying she could be; about the monster that laid beneath the surface. God help the man whoever called her by the term in Slender's presence, however.
The last one that had, Slender dealt with him accordingly, suppressing his sadistic needs for the times being. Slender joined her seconds afterwards, deciding not to take the stairs this time; teleporting would do just fine. The walk was quiet and calm, as serene as the forest during the night could get. The woman, as she often did during walks, went barefoot, which was a habit of hers. She always loved how the grass felt beneath her feet, describing the cool earth as having a calming effect on her. While it was a little quirky, as some might say, it was just another thing Slender adored. They had spent much time together in those woods, some good, some bad, some...privately.
Slender had to shove that memory to the back of his mind as they passed a familiar tree; he didn't need to ruin the pleasant calmness with his dark desires. They eventually came to a rather rocky area of the forest, Slender gently lifting the woman onto his shoulder accordingly. He carried her across the rocky terrain, having walked across it many times. He could have easily teleported to the other side, but the effects of it often made his beloved sick, so he'd rather not at that moment. He let her hands trace the top of his head as he carried her, her soft, warm hands and lips contrasting with his cold skin, causing a small shiver to course through him. He felt her smile as she felt him shiver, Slender shushing her as she chuckled, setting her down as they came to the end of the rocky terrain. They continued to walk through the woods, reaching a familiar clearing, one that caused a rock to form in Slender's stomach.
"It looks like the trees are growing back nicely." the woman commented, glancing around the clearing as they entered it.
This place...this was where Slender and the woman had had their largest battle. They both could not exactly remember what it was over, though the theory was that it was over how Slender treated Toby at the time. It was shortly after he took Toby in as his newest proxy, treating him cruelly during his first year or so in his care. The woman, dubbed Pretty Lady by almost everyone who knew her, was not happy with this, and Slender, on that particular day, confronted her as she did him. Their argument soon turned into yelling, and eventually into a full scale fight, which nearly shook the whole forest to its core. Trees were smashed and thrown, dirt was kicked up, and the ground practically shook under them. Both of them were pushed to their limits during the fight, and it was one of the last ones they had.
He remembered they had both walked away from it when they could fight no more, going off in opposite directions, injured and bloodied. He remembered the cold, angry glare she had sent his way before disappearing into the woods, bloodied and bruised, her hair tangled with twigs and leaves. Those deep pools were filled with so much scorn in that moment, and, for the first time, Slender felt remorse for what he had done to her. That was the day he began to question his actions, mainly towards her, and he went looking for her some weeks later. He found her in a field of flowers that had grown beneath her feet as she recovered from the fight, having replenished all plant life around her during the process. It was truly a sight to behold, giving Slender to begrudgingly apologize, having asked her what he could do to make up for it. That day, though he hated it, he threw his pride away, especially when he saw a lovely smile grace her features at his apology.
While he still held a good bit of that pride in the present, he would almost always throw it to the wind when it involved her. Pretty Lady, the woman who had changed him, was his tranquility, and he willingly succumbed to it.
"Is everything alright?" she asked, snapping him out of his thoughts, leading him away from memory lane.
He focused back on her image, standing before him, her figure small and delicate compared to his own.
He nodded, letting his large hand caress her cheek, "I wouldn't be alright if you had never come into my life."
A smile formed on her lips once more, Pretty Lady staring up at him with her colorful eyes, ones that matched the scenery around them.
"I believe I could say the same thing." she replied, letting her hand brush his, pulling away from his touch a moment later.
As she walked, more flowers sprouted, having created a trail from where they had begun their walk. As she often did when they came to a serene place such as that, she let herself dance around, the music she was dancing to only known to her. Her Celtic origins heavily influenced her dance, Slender only watching in awe, crossing his long arms and leaning against a tree as he watched her. She began to sing as she danced, the tune that spilled from her lips causing Slender to listen more closely.
"Ó fhoraoisí anaithnid a tháinig mé, ag cuardach áit chun mo theach a ghlaoch. Ar feadh go leor mílte chuaigh mé ag triall, ag bualadh le go leor línéadaigh bheaga ar an mbealach. Ag cosaint ceann a chaill mé go luath, bhuail mé le fear de bhunadh dorcha, a rinne díobháil agus pian. Throid muid go leor in aghaidh na bliana, ag cuimilt ag scornach a chéile, ag braith ar a chéile. Cé gur thosaigh an bheirt againn ag athrú go luath, agus go luath thosaigh muid as an nua, ag déanamh saol nua le chéile agus muid ag dul ar aghaidh. Anois tá sé anseo, mo lámh á choinneáil aige, á choinneáil agam go binn agus go réidh. Níl an cosán a shiúlann muid críochnaithe, tá an turas fada fós, ach bím ag siúl le glee. Mar is eol dom beidh an fear a d'fhás mé i ngrá liom ag siúl liom i gcónaí."
The Gaelic words that spilled from her lips soothed him, watching her spin and dance around, dancing to a violin and drums only she could hear. He was able to piece together some of the song from the bit of Gaelic he had learned, and he felt his body melt even more. As she finished the song she weaved and stopped dancing, a small field of flowers had grown beneath her feet; a true sight to behold. While he was a creature that brought pain and destruction, she was one that brought happiness and life; and protected it without fail. How they had come to be so close was a mystery, but he didn't dare complain. Pretty Lady beckoned him over, tying her skirt up to reveal her legs, teasing him once more. With no work to occupy him, and the privacy of the woods surrounding them, he had no reason to refuse.
Pretty Lady, who Slender alone knew as Lorenda, let herself sit on the flowerbed she had grown, watching as the tall figure approached. These moments between them were few and far in-between, postponed by all the work they had to do. It was in these rare moments that they took advantage of; a moment to themselves, where no one would hear. She let a grin form across her lips as she heard a familiar tear, watching as Slender formed a mouth as he kneeled down to her. While she did not mind kissing him without a mouth, him deciding to form one meant that he was deciding to be adventurous that night. That, or she had excited him a bit too much when she visited his office; a little bit of leg was really all he could take. Lorenda let him lay her back into the flower bed, taking her all not to let her wings sprout forth in excitement, humming as she let Slender ravish her to the sound of the rustling trees and grass.

A rough translation of the lyrics Pretty Lady sang:
"I came from unknown forests, looking for a place to call my home. For many miles I wandered, stumbling upon many small lands along the way. Protecting one I soon lost, I met a man of dark origin, who harmed and inflicted pain. We fought many a year, clawing at each other's throats, hunting each other. When the two of us soon began to change, we soon we started afresh, making new lives together as we went along. Now he's here, holding my hand, holding me sweetly and gently. The path we walk on is not complete, the journey is still long, but I walk with glee. As I know the man I grew to love will always walk with me. "
