It appears to be a casual television show on Cartoon Network, depicting the life of 13 year old Finn, and his loyal dog, Jake. Together, they share countless, exciting adventures.

However, the real story is much darker.

It is said that in reality, Finn was a lonely young boy, one of which no one paid any attention to. Aside from his loving dog, Jake.

He has had Jake ever since he was a small child, and it was apparent that Jake was prepared to descend into the canine heavens. Upon his passing, Finn entered a state of deep depression, and made several attempts on his life.

He was unsuccessful, but placed himself into a coma. It is believed that this is where the adventures are created, in the depths of Finn's mind. Everything that he created is what he once told Jake, while he was alive.

A fantasy world where he was a hero, and all of the princesses admired him. Ice King is believed to represent Finn's loneliness as a child. He lives a dream life vicariously through his mind, and there he remains.
