11: Ghost Station
It was the midnight train, and I was alone in the cold train cabin. All eight train cars were empty, other than me, sitting on a hard, metallic seat.
All of a sudden, the train began to decelerate.
Why is the train stopping so quickly? It usually takes four minutes to get from Bayfront North to Townedge, I thought.
Then I realised that the train wasn't at Townedge. This station was full of ghostly, distorted figures, pounding on the thin glass walls that separated me from the platform.
The automated announcement system murmured the station name, but it was too muffled to be heard. I wasn't paying attention anyway.
"Please mind the platform gap."
That was my doom. The doors slid to the sides before the petrifying monsters poured into the cabin...
