He looked over to where Aquamarine was laying

She had stopped bugging him relentlessly

Tho she had been looking at PhasesStripe when she spent time with him weirdly

Why was she giving her a weird look?

Could she have feelings for me or PhasesStripe?

He got up and walked out of the cave at sat down on the beach

The cool breeze blew along his scales

He heard the crunch of the sand under talons

They stopped behind him

"Hey do you want some company or should I go back into the cave?" Aquamarine asked

"I think I'd like to be alone right now thanks" he replied

And he heard Aquamarine walk back inside

She was definitely being nicer and it was odd

He'd have to fugue out why

He turned as he heard another crunch of the sand this time louder then the last

Robin had dropped down

Her feathered scales shifted from invisibility as she dropped

"Where were you?" He asked her

"Er Watching that Rosewing Fern" Robin answered

"Tho I nearly got caught after knocking down a pile of books" she added

"What was she in a library?" PermaFrost asked

"No she was with a another Rosewing who seems to really like the history of his tribe" Robin answered

Evergreen popped her head out of the cave

"That would have to be my brother" she said

She walked out and sat down beside him

"The breeze feels nice" Evergreen commented

"Yeah it dose" he aggred

He stood up

"I'm going hunting" he announced

He took off and flew out over the sea

He preferred fish or seal over anything

He let himself drop into the water

It was warmer then at home

He took a deep breath before diving under and swam after a school of fish

He wasn't sure what kind they were

He grabbed some with his talons And swam back to the surface

And he killed them and shot out of the water and flew back to the beach

He landed down and began to eat them

They were pretty good

Had he really froze Aquamarine's wing yesterday?

Robin and Evergreen were now chatting near the entrance of the cave

And Aquamarine had just walked out of the cave and said something to Evergreen and Robin and walked into the forest

The little dragonet that found them in the forest when they got there ran out with two other dragonets with their parents come out behind them

He dropped the fish bones into the water and went back and sat down

If dose dragonets came over he didn't really want to explain about what he had done to the fish. The trio of Dragonets ran over to him

"Whoa yo coo" the lead male dragonet

He smiled

He enjoyed dragonets company so much

"Yes as cold as ice" he aggred

"Wow!" The dragonets eyes were wide "I Fungus that Mal and Maple" the lead dragonet told him

"Mallow" the second dragonet corrected

"It's nice to meet you three I am PermaFrost" he introduced himself

He just left out the prince in his title

wanted so badly to forget about that part of his life cause now that he was out of his mother's claws he'd not want to go back to the palace, instead he'd go back to Quartz

"Per-Ma Frost? Why you call tha?" Mallow asked

"Because my tribe the Winterhorn's have more of icey kind of names" he explained

"Play wit us?" Fungus asked

"Sure what do you want to play?" He replied

Fungus told his siblings to attack him

He wasn't very good at being quiet about his plan of course no dragonet was

Then the trio launched themselves at him

He on purposely fell back

He heard one of the dragonets parents running over

"Oh my Evertree I'm so sorry they shouldn't be attacking random dragons" the dragonets mother apologized

"It's all part of the game" he replied

And he saw the realization speed across her face

"Oh..."

He wrapped his wings around the dragonets and rolled across the sand directly towards the water

He had barred the bones under the sand in the water so they wouldn't find them

He paused at the edge and took a deep breath before rolling fully into the water

Shocking the dragonets as they got wet

He released his wings from around them and brought them out of the water

"You not funny no splash me and gets me wet" Fungus growled

"He hates getting wet and taking baths" Fungus mother explained

"Oh and I'm Milkweed" she added

Evergreen was watching surprise glittered in her gaze

What had surprised her?

He swam back to the beach

He had them on his back

They were fun to play with

Once his talons touched the sand he began to shake the dragonets around

Their little claws dug into his scales

It hurt but just a little

The dragonets giggled as he walked onto the shore

He dropped onto his belly and slowly began to roll over which caused them to get off him

He smiled

Would he and Quartz have dragonets like this trio?

If so that would be wonderful Quartz knew how much he enjoyed dragonets

He rolled back onto his belly

He rested like that

And he felt the dragonets start to kick sand onto him

They were barring him in sand

He turned his head to look at Fungus

"What are you doing?" He asked the little dragonet

He suddenly stopped kicking the sand onto him

"Nothi" Fungus answered

"It doesn't look like nothing" he replied

"It nothi!" Fungus growled

He rolled his eyes and giggled

"Yes yes it's obviously nothing" he replied

"Yep!" Fungus aggred

He smiled at the dragonet

He got up and shook the sand from his scales

He was not going to have them barring him in the sand

"Whh yo get up?" Maple asked

"Cause I am not having you barring me in the sand" PermaFrost answered

"But...but...but tha E fun" Fungus replied

Mallow pounced his talons

"Hey off my talons" PermaFrost told her

Evergreen was talking with the parents of the dragonets and Aquamarine and Seafoam were coming out Gale and Robin were heading out for a flight tho PhasesStripe was no where to be seen

Then he felt more small claws against his talons

He looked down and saw all three dragonets on his talons and they were nipping him

He grabbed Fungus off his talons and set him in the water then grabbed Mallow and set her next to her brother and finally grabbed Maple and set her next to her siblings

"Whh yo dot tha" Mallow asked

"Because I don't like little dragonets on my talons"

A shadow fell over them just for a moment before it left

He looked up to see that there was another dragon flying far above

Was this the cloaked Winterhorn who had been following the entire time

"The drago up the" Maple yelped

"Yes there is one" PermaFrost aggred

Fungus raised himself onto his hind talons to try and get a better view

He smiled

The dragonet was quite a silly one

And Maple shoved him over

"Wha!" He yelped

He snickered

It was so fun to be with these dragonets

"Fungus Maple Mallow time to go" the dragonets mother called to them

"Wha na fu" Fungus grumbled

And he took off down the beach away from his parents with his sisters following behind him

"Fungus no!" She growled as she took off after her children

Dragonets never listened to what they were told well except him he had followed what his parents had told him to do

His parents had never been the nicest anyway

But he had disobeyed them at least once

He was out on a arctic island and He'd found this adorable snow leopard and her mate

He was a pretty leopard and young

And he was sliver with glittering white fur and deep gray spots and stripe things but he didn't know what they were called

He was scratching at a small bit of ice to make it look like the Leopard

They had not noticed that he was there

He told his father he was going out on a adventure before he had left so they knew he was out and shouldn't worry about him

He moved his tiny claws so he could make a carving of the snow leopards

They were so cool to watch

Their fluffy fur looked as tho it would be so soft to pet

Once he finished his carving he slowly crept forward to try and pet the fluffy looking leopards

He reached a tiny talon out and ran it across the cats back it let out a mrow of surprise

The leopard turned his head

The two snow leopards scrambled away from him

He followed them to try and give them more pets

He'd surprise his father with a gift of the carving

He held the ice sculptures in one talon

Tho he tripped from not having enough balance to be able to carry something while he walked

A dragon landed behind him

"PermaFrost!"

He got up and turned around to see his mother standing there

"You should not be out here alone" Blizzard growled

"I told daddy I was going out on a adventure" he replied

"You still shouldn't have went out without waiting for a guard to keep you safe" his mother snapped

He crouched down into the snow in fear

"I-I'm sorry" he apologized

"We are going home now" Blizzard growled

And they flew home

He had gotten in so much trouble that day

Tho it had been fun to see the snow leopards, and he was pretty sure that his father still had his first carving he had ever made

He got up and began to walk along the beach

The sun was warming his scales

He turned and walked into the forest

He was being careful not to get his horns caught in the vines

The forest was cooler then out on the beach and it was wonderful to be in a area that was colder

Tho it was deafening to the quiet of most of the arctic islands

Birds flew above among the branches

He crouched down and leapt and grabbed a bird in his talons

He wasn't hungry but he wanted to see if he could catch one

He let it free

It flew off quickly

He was pretty sure it was a blue jay

It left behind feathers in his talon

He kept a hold of them to make into something at somepoint

He let out a happy sigh

The area felt amazing right now and the time with the dragonets left him in a good mood

He flicked his tail

It was something that dragons would probably take as him being grumpy cause he flicked his tail in the same way when he was in a bad mood

His sharp claws dug into the soft dirt under his talons

He hadn't noticed this before but his scales seemed to make the temperature drop around him mostly due to him living in a naturally cold area

Could he possibly have the long lost Frost scales?

There was frost growing across the plants around him

He was enjoying more of a simple life with barely anyone knowing he was a prince

Maybe he'd not return to the palace maybe he'd just return to Quartz and the library

But they would probably find him when he returned to Quartz but then again he didn't care

He walked back to the beach eventually

The sun was beginning to set when he got back

Aquamarine leapt out of the water and ran towards him

She skidded to a halt in front of him

"I got you some dinner" and she gave him a few fish

He took them

"Thanks" he thanked her

She was definitely making a effort to be nicer

He set them down and ate them

PhasesStripe came out of the cave and ran off

She was probably going out hunting

She seemed to prefer to do things by herself rather then doing things with others

Aquamarine and Seafoam sat a little way away

He caught her watching him multiple times

"Hey...er PermaFrost is there anything you want to do after we're done eating?" Aquamarine asked

What was she getting at now?

"Er doesn't matter me" he answered

He'd give it a try at what she was doing

"Then why don't we go for a fly just the two of us" Aquamarine suggested

"Murrow!!" Seafoam yowled at Aquamarine

"I can do stuff without you!" Aquamarine exclaimed

Was she about to get into a big argument with Seafoam?

"Don't get into a fight with the Aquakitty" PermaFrost ordered

"What ever you say your highness" Aquamarine smirked

She was enjoying this way too much

"Don't call me your highness" he growled

"Of course...your majesty" Aquamarine chimed

Why dose she have to do this

I thought she was being nice

He let out a frustrated growl

"Sorry sorry I'll stop now" Aquamarine spoke

She wanted to be close to him he had only just realized that

They were out in the sky

He still had the feathers in his claws

"Hey you want me to carry those for you in my bag" she offered

He handed the feathers to her to put in her bag

He was getting tired of carrying them

She slipped them quickly into her bag

"So you only ever go to that Winterhorn library when your home or do you do other things?" Aquamarine questioned

"I make carvings" he responded

"Cool anything else" she asked

"Nothing" he answered

"Well what's it like to live in the arctic islands?" Aquamarine inquired

"Cold" PermaFrost answered

"You know that's not what I meant you fish brain" Aquamarine grumbled

He couldn't help but grin after that

"Too bad next question" he replied

And it was Aquamarine's turn to set out a frustrated growl

"Oh did I make the captain upset" he asked

She only glared at him

You know what getting on her nerves is pretty fun

"So what made you want to suddenly get into teasing me?" She questioned

"I just decided to try it obviously" PermaFrost replied

He was still grinning about it

"Oh your enjoying this" Aquamarine remarked

He flicked his talon out in front of him

"Oh so you just caught on" he responded

She grumbled something about that he was annoying

And she shoved him mid air

Which caused them both to have to get there momentum again

"So what's it like being a captain of a squadron?" PermaFrost asked

"Annoying" she answered

She had used his kind of answer for her own

He rolled his eyes and smiled

"So...are you enjoying this flight together?" Aquamarine questioned

He was quiet for a bit

"Maybe" he responded

She glared at him

She obviously hated the answer

But it was the best answer he was going to give her

He walked into the forest with Aquamarine at his tail

He was going out to gather stuff to make a proper bed for himself, that Aquamarine and her little Aquakitty Seafoam would most likely invade

He gathered him plenty of moss and soft leafs to make himself a bed...he meant them

He pulled quite a bit of moss off a tree he was going to gather up more stuff to make the bed more comfortable tomorrow and they'd be like feathers and fur

"I'd like the feathers back" PermaFrost ordered

"You forgot a word" she replied

"Now!" He growled

She rolled her eyes

"Wrong" Aquamarine stated

"Now Aqua!" He commanded

She rolled her eyes again and handed him the feathers

"Thank you"

And he pulled a longish vine down and used a bit of tree sap to stick the feathers to the vine and he made himself a necklace with the feathers and vine

It looked quite nice

And he took the gathered bedding back to the cave

Aquamarine didn't help him a bit

So he only made his bed big enough for himself

He curled up in his bed

He stood out on the beach

He stared out at the stars

There were millions of stars up in the sky or at least he guessed there were millions he hadn't counted them

He enjoyed the night

Tho he didn't often stay up late

He sighed

He was pretty happy here but just couldn't seem to be able to sleep tonight

And he walked back into the cave to find Aquamarine in his bed

He flopped himself down right on top of her

She woke up with a jolt

"Wha!" Aquamarine exclaimed

He was face to face with her

He grinned

"PermaFrost!" She grumbled

"Out of my bed" he ordered

She sighed and got out of his bed

He smiled and layd back down

After awhile he got to sleep

He felt Aquamarine laying on him, her head was against his wing and she was just mostly on his side

He pulled himself from Aquamarine her head thumping against the moss

"How many are you going to wake me up" she grumbled sleepily

"Well maybe if you didn't sleep on top of me maybe I wouldn't have woken you" PermaFrost retorted

But she wasn't listening she had fallen back asleep

He rolled his eyes and walked out of the cave

"Hey Robin" PermaFrost called to the Featherscale

He was curious on what Fern had been up to when she was with Evergreen's brother

Robin looked around

"Yeah?" She replied

"What had Fern been up to when she was with Mushroom. I'm just curious" he asked

"Uh looking through a bunch of old books and scrolls" Robin answered

"Interesting I wonder what those were filled with" he commented

"You know Fern only said that Evergreen couldn't come go to the village. She never said anything about you not being able to go to the village" Robin stated

She had found him a loophole to take advantage of while he was curious

"Then I think I may go find out for myself" he Remarked

He walked off into the forest to try and find his way to the Rosewing village
