chapter 10

He sat flicking through a few more books.

He was honestly hoping that he could help Ever and the others dethrone Fern, she had been a pretty good Queen despite how she treated most misfits.

"Find what your looking for" the Rosewing librarian asked.

"No not yet" he responded.

"Well if you do need any help just ask me" they told him.

They grabbed a stack of books and scrolls from their desk.

Some of the scrolls they had were some of the older stories.

He was pretty sure that he had read them when he was younger.

He looked back down at the book he had been reading.

It spoke of the past leaders of the Rosewings from before the council came to be.

"What exactly are you looking for?" Forest asked.

"Kinda a way to help my sis get Fern to let the misfits back into the village maybe dethrone her" Mushroom answered.

"Oh your sister is Evergreen right Bloom has mentioned the two of you before".

"Yeah Evergreen is my sister" he answered.

"Well uh I hope you can find what you need" Forest told him.

They went back to their work putting the books and scrolls back onto the shelves.

He noticed one of the scrolls was some story on an idea on if the FeatherStream war came to an end by some Featherscale author.

Every Dragon thought that the war would never end...well no he didn't think that but most dragons did.

He'd grown up with stories of a great journey that the Rosewings had took to find their current home and the great things the Queens Lily and Glory had done.

He sometimes wondered if Queen Glory had been an actual dragon or someone Rosewing authors had made up to make Lily's story more interesting with a mate for the past Queen.

He heard the quick strikes of talons against the ground as some dragon ran up to the library.

Who's in a rush to get here?.

Bloom ran in skidding to a halt behind Forest.

She jumped on the librarian.

"Forest! Give me your pronouns now!" Bloom demanded.

"I'm they them today now if you don't get off me I'll ban you from the library" Forest threatened.

Bloom listened to the librarian and got off them.

Forest had dropped the scrolls and books she had been carrying when Bloom jumped on them and now the stack was scattered across the library's floor.

"You need some help cleaning that up Forest?" Mushroom asked pointing a claw at their scattered pile.

"No Bloom Well be cleaning it up" they answered.

Bloom turned to stare at them. "I'm doing what?!" Bloom asked.

"You made the mess now you well be the one to clean it up" Forest responded.

"And if I don't?" Bloom asked.

"Then I'll sit on you" Forest stated.

He went back to the scroll he was reading from.

It told the stories of some of the bad leaders of the Rosewings and their chaotic and sometimes smart attacks for power over all the tribes living on the islands of Palera and even the tribe in the sea around the islands.

He was looking to hopefully get ideas on how to dethrone Fern from how the Rosewing leaders were stopped in the scrolls stories.

He gently tapped his claw against the table he was sitting at to give his claws something to do while he read.

Reading the scroll told him how often the Rosewings had bad leaders in the past.

The council was probably one of our best ideas yet since we all would be treated equally as leaders instead of just one dragon leading alone.

He had ideas begin to form in his head but there was still so many loopholes and places where the plan could go wrong to he'd present the beginning of his idea to his group and work from there.

Somewhere on the StormTalon island an old StormTalon told dragonets stories of the past.

"A long time ago us StormTalons would travel from island to island exploring but never making an permanent home" breeze told the young dragonets.

It was always an surprise if they were even interested in the history she taught the young dragonets.

Sometimes they were bored by the history of their tribe.

Though the group of dragonets she taught today was actually interested in the stories she told them.

She had already taught her dragonets and her granddragonets all the history of their tribe.

"Miss Breeze why's didn't the old Stormytalons just stays somehare?" One of the dragonets asked.

"Because we found it fun to travel around" Breeze explained.

Her entire class was at very most one year old.

"We were nomadic but we've since changed from those ways and we have lived here on the StormTalon island for many years" Breeze told them.

"Nomathic what that mean?" Misty one of the dragonets asked.

"It means that the dragon has no one home that they live at but well travel from place to place" Breeze explained.

She always got such a joy from teaching the young dragonets about their history.

She smiled at the dragonet.

"Buts now wes just live here?" Misty asked. "That's exactly correct Misty" Breeze responded.

"Can wes go play nhow?" One of the other dragonets asked.

"If we really must be ending the lesson" Breeze answered.

She'd have to go out with the dragonets since she was the one who was watching them.

"Yay play times" a few of the dragonets cheered. Breeze followed the dragonets out of her house.

Well this tells me I have an energetic class today. She mentally noted.

Which tells me if I want to teach this group anything I must turn the lesson into a game. Though she'd still need to figure out a way to turn the lesson into a game these dragonets well enjoy playing.

She saw that the dragonets games seemed to include tackling one another and using their powers wildly.

Her granddragonet never used her abilities quite as chaotic as that though then again Breeze was also pretty sure that she didn't have very good control.

She's still a young dragon she'll learn in her own time if she doesn't try and rush it.

Breeze eventually proposed the idea of the game to the dragonets who were willing to give it a try but not sure if they'd like it.

I'm always just supposed to be watching this group so it's a pleasant surprise for them when their dragonets come back talking in some way about what they've learned.

"Hey I've got an idea for a game my dragonet friends" Breeze called.

The dragonets looked up from what they were doing. "What?" Misty asked.

Breeze explained the way that they'd be doing.

The idea was to go exploring around breezes home and generally pretending to be nomadic like the StormTalons of the past.

The dragonets enjoyed the game. They take turns playing as the StormTalons or the dragons they met on their travels, the group of dragonets seemed to enjoy the game quite a bit.

The dragonets parents returned at the end of the day. The dragonets told their parents about what they had done over the day as they left.

After a while Breeze was left alone in the yard of her home.

The sun was slowly falling into the water, and the sunset it gave was beautiful.

Most dragons are too busy with their own things to notice the pretty things in life she thought as she watched the sunset
