"So you decided you wouldn't tell me you were planning on going to see mom and dad" Mushroom askes.

"Sorry I forgot to." I reply

"I filled Mushroom in on your plan." Windrider stated.

"And I wanted you to come with me." I tell him.

"That's good because if you weren't I followed you." Mushroom replied.

"I know you would so I decide to let you come along." I smile.

"I guess your right I would just follow you if you were planning on heading out to see them." Mushroom agreed.

"What do you mean you guess?" I ask.

"I Uh mean....gotta go." Mushroom rushed past me taking off. I follow him.

"Windrider get her off my tail." Mushroom said.

Windrider only flew back and flew next to me

"Windrider!" Mushroom yelled.

"Yes?" Windrider askes amusement in his voice.

"You were supposed to get her off my tail." Mushroom complained.

"Too bad I don't feel like doing that." Windrider responds.

"You annoying hawk." Mushroom grumbled.

"Uh...you....." Windrider said. He was obviously trying to think of an comeback.

I put on a burst of speed catch up to Mushroom tackling him in the sky.

They fell for a little bit before I pull myself away and flapped my wings to right myself as Mushroom did too a little under me.

I right myself first and flew down and began to fly around Mushroom as he did.

"Took you long enough to right yourself." I comment as he finally righted himself.

"Too bad you annoying salmander." Windrider finally came up with a comeback.

"Windrider!" Mushroom growled and launched himself at the small bird. Well he was at least small compared to dragons to other animals he was big.

Though Windrider dodged the attack quickly flying out of the way and around me till he eventually landed on one of my horns.

"Hey don't drag me into this." I tell him.

"We can if we want to." Windrider replied.

I let myself drop towards the forest then at the last second I spread my wings and glided into the forest.

I had left Mushroom and Windrider in the sky.

Windrider flew down and landed on my wing which so happened to be his favorite perch.

Lichen

I was walking through the forest.

I hear something move somewhere around me.

So I use the plants to find out where and then I see them it was the Rosewing who looked like lilacs.

"Hello." I call out.

More movement. "How did you I was there?" She asked her wings bristling up slightly.

"I'm a plantseer I saw you through the plants." I answer.

"Oh okay....I'm Lilac you are?" She asked

"Lichen." I answer.

"Hm I can see what inspires your name." Lilac comments.

"That I look like lichen." I add.

"Yeah." Lilac nods

"I've heard dragons say that before." I respond.

"Yeah it's probably pretty common thing for dragons to say." Lilac agreed

"So you don't live in the village with most everyone else." I observe.

"Yeah I haven't lived in the village since my......mother died." Lilac replied.

"Hey it's better then losing both parents." I offer.

"She was all the family I had or at least knew about." she replied.

"Oh.....I'm sorry." I say.

"Don't apologize you didn't know. And she told me how she was going to get this blind plantseer Rosewing to train and then never returned." Lilac said.

"Oh.......was her name Ginger?" I ask

Evergreen

We were walking to our parents house now after the flight.

"So what did you mean you guess?" I ask.

"I said it to bug you" he responds.

"Then you didn't answer me when I asked." I add.

"Yeah that was to add to the annoyance" Mushroom replied.

I can now hear the sounds of several birds chirping though I am still too far to hear what they are saying.

"We're getting close." I state.

"Yep." Mushroom agreed.

"I don't get why mom likes to invite that many birds into their house like since when can they ever get a peaceful sleep?" Windrider comments.

"Well I find the birdsong relaxing especially there lullabies to the chick's." my mother Goldenrod stated.

"Mom!" I exclaim and jump towards her wrapping her in a large hug.

"It's been too long Ever" Goldenrod said.

Mushroom just watched us, he wasn't really the type to hug but he'd give them sometimes especially when dragons needed comfort.

"Hey you two." our father Leafstalk greets us.

"Hi dad!"

Windrider had flown off me when I leapt to give my mother an hug and he was now settled on my father's wing.

"So when you saw Windrider come you guessed we were here." I comment.

"Yeah when he came and landed on my wing without any mail and you had asked if we were fine with you two coming over it gave me a pretty good impression" dad replied.

My father is the only one in my family who can't understand animals. 

"So what has been happening with you guys?" Mushroom askes.

"Oh did you not get the letter I sent?" Dad asked.

"That you didn't let me read before you sent." Mom grumbles to dad.

Mushroom turns to face me. "There was another letter you didn't tell me about yet" Mushroom askes.

"Uh sorry I forgot to." I reply.

"Of course that's the reason." Mushroom grumbled.

"Hey! There is a strict new no fighting rule at this house." Mom states.

"But we're not in any house." I retort.

"You've gotten to smart for my ways to stop your fighting." Mom sighs.

"Yep we're smart dragons." I agree.

"Hey it's better to have smart young dragonets then to have dumb one's." Dad tells Mom.

"That's true." Mom agrees.

"Am I correct that Leafstalk likes to do flower arrangements?" Windrider asked my mother.

"You are correct Windrider." she nods.

"What did he ask?" Dad askes.

"He was just asking if he remembered something right." Mom answers.

"Oh got it." Dad replies.

The visit to my parents was fun but now I was heading out to see my friend Gale again.

Gale was browsing a few stalls when I find her.

Gale seemed to like to look through the shops seeing what was there like I do.

"Hi Ever!" Gale greets me.

We were standing near a fried fish stall.

Then an Aquakitty ran up and stole one of the fish though the owner didn't seem to notice.

"Did that Aquakitty just steal?!" Gale asked.

"Yeah I think it did." I agree.

"I thought Aquakittys lived out in the sea not on islands." Gale said.

"There supposed to." I agree

"I'm here with my friend little Rosewing." the Aquakitty called back their voice sounded masculine.

"Now what's he meowing about?" Gale asked.

I know my friend can't understand animals since it is an ability that runs in my family.

"So what should we do?" Gale askes turning to me.

"Maybe just look around and see what there is." I suggest.

"Alright." Gale nodded.

We walk around the market looking at what the stalls have to offer.

A male Featherscale landed nearby. He was a grayish white and he had brown eyes though he seems to resemble a albatros.

In a different area of the market

I was shopping for a new bag one that my friend Seafoam could sit in if he felt like it.

See Seafoam is an Aquakitty and my creature of the sea, the special bonded creature of mine.

I turn to see him prancing over with a cooked fish in his jaws? "Did you steal again!?" I ask.

"Yeah so.....the shopkeeper didn't notice." Seafoam answered.

He was making quite the annoying habit of stealing food well we were here.

"You need to stop stealing food Seafoam." I tell him.

We hadn't been friends for very long so I was still learning his traits quirks and habits.

"I haven't been caught...yet." He states.

"But I've been accused of stealing because of you." I complain.

"Uh miss are you talking to that Aquakitty?" the stallkeeper asked.

"Yeah he's my creature of the sea deal with it." I reply.

My horns curl down and touched the edge of my head on either side alike to these creatures I've heard dragons call rams.

I turn back to the stall and continued to look through the bags trying to find which I wanted.

I am one of the many TideStream soldiers so I help my Queen and King in the FeatherStream war. Though I've been getting sick of fighting in an war for so much of my life.

Queen Manta has us searching for their palace and nursery so we can stop new generations from coming to join the war against us.

Though I had heard that her plan was to get to have the Featherscale's under her rule, we already have so many Featherscale's though we have been having trouble trying to capture the elusive prince Swoop so they can have the untier royal family to get them to bow down to us.

My King was trying to end the war much differently then his sister and has been slowly releasing Featherscale prisoners.

I find an waterproof bag that Seafoam could fit in or at least I guessed he could I didn't actually try fitting him in.

I buy it and get Seafoam in it then I take off to fly us home.

Back with Evergreen

I was just now flying home.

I am gliding through the forest when a clump vine catchs my wing it twists it badly 'cause Ow! It hurts!

I fall to the forest floor and black out.

I awake in familiar building with a familiar Rosewing I knew to be Kigelia on the other side of the buildings. 

Her scales were pink and green.

I feel that my wing was bound in bandages.

Kigelia turns to look over. "Hey Ever your awake" she smiles at me

"Wha-what happened?" I ask

"Well your wing must of caught on a clump of vines or something and when you fell you sprained your wing must have blacked from the fall, Fern found you and brought you here" she told me.

I had just been learning to flying with my brother and my father who was teaching us when me and Mushroom fell and hurt ourselves.

We rode on dads back since my leg really hurt, Mushroom was complaining about his legs hurting too.

Daddy rushed us into the building.

"Queen Holly!" he called out.

"I prefer just Holly but did these two get hurt?" Holly asked.

"Yeah I was teaching them to fly when they got ahead of me and then they both fell I couldn't catch them in time" Leafstalk spoke quickly.

"Kigelia dear can you come help." Holly called to a young pink and green dragonet.

"Yes mother" the dragonet replied.

The dragonet looked to only be one or two years older than me maybe a year older then Mushroom.

Leafstalk set her on one of the beds in the building.

"Hi I'm Kigelia I'll be helping you today" she greeted us.

"I don't want to fly anymore it scary and I get hurt when I falls so it's bad" I say as a shiver runs along my body.

"So would it still be scary if I was there to grow plants to catch you?" Kigelia sked.

"Oh uh.....I guesses not" I reply.

"Then next time you go out to learn to fly I'll be there to catch you if you fall" Kigelia told me.

Well we talked Kigelia had been wrapping my leg in bandages.

"You broke you leg Uh...vine friend" Kigelia told me.

"I'm not vine dragon my name is Evergreen." I complain.

"Yeah I was expecting that wasn't name but I had to get your name somehow" Kigelia said

Kigelia was a kindhearted healer and currently the soul healer for the Rosewings because her mother Holly had left the job to Kigelia once she had enough training to handle it

"Fern?" I ask.

"Yep she may not like misfits but she wouldn't just leave another Rosewing hurt in the forest." Kigelia answered.

"Also Mushroom has been to visit last night tho I'm not sure if it was completely to see you or to see me too." Kigelia said.

"How long have I been here?" I ask.

"Let's see its mid day right now so one night and one morning." Kigelia answered.

"So not long." I say.

"Yep." Kigelia replied and smiled.

Me and Kigelia have somewhat recently noticed that Mushroom seems to have feelings for Kigelia.

Lichen walks in.

"Hey Ever how are you?" He asked.

"I'm doing well" I smile and answer.

"Or as well as you can be with your wing." Kigelia replied.

I get up and stretch my legs.

"So it's just the wing that's hurt?" Lichen asked.

"Yeah just her wing." Kigelia answered.

"Ah so she can still move around the island." Lichen replied.

"Yeah just no flying. Got that Ever" Kigelia asked.

"Yes I've got that." I respond.

A few days later. I was allowed to head back to my home but I still wasn't able to fly anywhere.

I was the one making dinner tonight.

I was Slicing fruit and vegetables.

I look up as Mushroom walks into the house.

"Hey Mushroom" I greet him.

"Hey Ever...how's your wing feeling?" Mushroom asked.

"It hurts a little but it's not too bad" I answer.

"Oh well I hope it heals up soon" Mushroom said.

"I think it well be fine Kigelia is plenty honest she'd tell me if something was wrong."

"Oh quit at that." Mushroom said.

Windrider flew into the room carrying his recentest catch in his claws, a vole. 

"Quit what?" Windrider asked.

"Quit me teasing him over his crush." I speak in a sing song voice.

"Oh well then don't quit it." Windrider replied.

"Yes I got Windrider on my team." I say.

"Windrider can't you ever eat like nuts and berry's?" Mushroom asked.

"I'm a predator we eat meat." Windrider replied.

"Can't you try fruit and veggies?" Mushroom asked.

"Hm no thanks." Windrider answered.

"He's not going to change his mind" I tell him.

"I know it was worth a shot tho" Mushroom sighed.

"Well I always know best." I tell him.

"No you really don't." Mushroom grinned.

"That's mean." I complain.

"Too bad." Mushroom responded.

I finish making dinner and we go and sit down. Mushroom was chatting up with Windrider over dinner.

I see a very familiar StormTalon standing in town looking around searching for someone.

It was Gale. She seemed to notice me and came over.

"You haven't been around in the market island so I came here to see ya." Gale said.

"How have you been Gale" I ask.

"I've been good you?" Gale replied.

"I've been pretty good too." I respond.

"Wait is your wing okay?" Gale asked.

"Yeah I sprained it a few days ago and it's healing right now." I answer.

"So that's why you haven't been around the market island." Gale replied.

"Well do you wanna see what's around the Rosewing island?" I offer.

"Sure." Gale grins.

We walk out into the forest.

We see Kigelia out in the forest.

"Hi Ever who's this StormTalon?" Kigelia asked.

"This is my friend Gale. Gale this is Kigelia." I introduce them to each other.

"Well it's nice to meet you Gale." Kigelia smiles.

"Yeah you too." Gale agrees.

We chat with Kigelia for a little while and eventually Gale had to head home.

I was now heading back to my own home

I feel talons land on my wing and when I turn my head to look it was who I had guessed, Windrider.

"Hi Ever you heading home?" Windrider asked.

"Yep...no good hunting today?" I respond.

"Yeah I didn't manage to catch anything." he sighs. He gave his light gray wings a shake.

I then feel a plop of water on my snout then a few more then a full born downpour.

"Let's get home and fast" I say as I brust into a run with Windrider now flying beside me.

I have to pause at the door to use my ability to open the door for us to walk in.

Our home had double the water protection, first the trees leafs then the roof.

Mushroom was at the table reading a new few scrolls.

They looked like report scrolls he had to read through for an assignment.

Mushroom looked up.

"Here come get your food quick your food quick I'm getting hungry. " Mushroom grins. He taps against the plate that sat on the table near him.

I run over and take it.

Out in the mane area of our home we have random stacks of books for when we actually feel like reading, Windrider nested in an high up perch in the room, well also have a few flower pots decorating the room.

I sit down and eat.

Windrider flew out, he commented that he was going hunting again before leaving. He was quite the quick hawk.

And he is a light gray hawk with deeper gray streaks on his wings and his talons and beak were golden and he had lighter blue eyes

When I was done I take my plate to wash them. Eventually Windrider flew back in carrying a squirrel. He seemed happy to have caught something.

He flew up and landed in his nest to eat. He poked his head over the side.

"I don't understand why you don't try meat instead of just eating fruit and other non meat things." Windrider comments.

"Because we don't like eating animals it's just wrong and would you want to eat some small animal when you could understand what it was saying" I retort.

"Maybe it would depend on how hungry I'm that day." Windrider states.
