A harsh rainstorm had came out of the blue

And she was taking shelter in one of the islands small forests since all caves were inhabited by something

Whether it being hyenas lions or Swiftclaws it didn't matter just that they were all inhabited

And another thing she didn't really like being in closed spaces

She heard murmurs from other dragons nearby

At least three of them she had seen before, the StormTalon the Rosewing, Evergreen and the Featherscale

"Oh ShadowSeeker I'm glad you looked into the future to see this storm coming so we could take shelter" Evergreen spoke to the Cometflight in the group

She noticed there were both a Featherscale and a TideStream in the group who weren't fighting

This...this was odd

"Yeah I'm glad I saw it too" the Cometflight ShadowSeeker aggred

How? No dragon could see the future no creature could how did he see this coming then?

Falcon

Owl had been training him while Robin had been gone

Swoop would make a visit here and there, but not as often as Dove and Nest said he would

"Falcy whe Robi come back?" Hawk asked

"I don't know Hawk sorry" Falcon answered

"Buts I miss her" Hawk told him

Robin had obviously built up close friendships with the young dragonets that were here

"Hey Falcon can you bring Hawk and Kestrel here for a minute" Albatros asked

"Sure" Falcon answered

He was happy to be helpful around here

"Hey Hawk can you help me find Kestrel" Falcon asked

"Ye Ye Ye" Hawk answered

Then he ran off calling for Kestrel

A few minutes later he came back with her

And he brought the two dragonets to Albatros

"Hey you two. So I was originally supposed to do this with Robin but anyway would you two like to grow up to take care of the dragonets like me Robi and Falcon do?" Albatros asked

"I'ss do" Hawk answered

"Me too's me too's" Kestrel answered

"Kay Falcon can you tell Owl and Dove there answer for me?" Albatros asked

"Alright" Falcon answered

And he walked off to find the two other caretakers

When he found Dove she was mid story so he decided to tell her later when she was done with her story

She walked down the hall that led to the kitchen and caretakers bedrooms to find Owl

He looked into the kitchen to find her helping Nest make some snacks for the dragonets

"Hey Owl Albatros told me to tell you that Hawk and Kestrel want to become caretakers" He told the duo in the room

Owl looked over

"Have you told Dove yet?" Owl asked

"Not yet she was in the middle of telling a story and I didn't want to bother her" Falcon answered

"That was quite kind of you Falcon but you should go tell her" Owl replied

"Alright I will" Falcon said

And he walked back to Dove

"Hey Dove, I was told to tell you that Kestrel and Hawk want to become caretakers" Falcon told her

"Okay we can start teaching them right away" Dove replied

Even tho Dove loved to tease she was really nice and kind and she was a perfect caretaker

He walked back to Albatros. "I told them" Falcon said

"Thank you Fal" Albatros thanked him

"Your welcome" Falcon replied and smiled

They had all been so nice to him

"So what's do we needs to learn?" Hawk asked

PhasesStripe

She could not believe that this Cometflight actually had a vision, they were not real

She came out into the clearing

"How?" She asked

"How what?" Evergreen replied

"How did that Cometflight see the future?!" PhasesStripe asked

"Because he had a vision and they are real" Evergreen answered

"But.....what! No I don't believe it" PhasesStripe replied

"Sorry it is and I don't get why creatures listen to prophecy's either" the Winterhorn aggred

None of his group seemed too surprised about what he had just said

"I still don't get it" PhasesStripe replied

"Oh and I'm PermaFrost" the Winterhorn introduced himself

"Alright whatever I'm just staying here in the forest for the storm" PhasesStripe told them

Then she walked off from the group

It couldn't be real it just couldn't be prophecy's were not real

She was so confused about what was going on

"Why is this all happening to me?" She growled quietly to herself

"Why not to someone else?" She asked

Tho the wind was the only thing that could hear her

Then the wind blew around her for a few seconds before returning to it's regular path

Wait were they trying to trick me StormTalons can control the weather

She looked out into the forest then called

"You dragons better not be trying to trick me!"

They didn't react to that. Tho if she were to try and trick someone she wouldn't reply to a shout like that

I refuse to believe them

They can't make me change my mind

She stretched her slightly fluffy wings

She had ended up pausing in a clearing a bit off from the prophecy believing group

Then the Winterhorn PermaFrost walked into her clearing

"Hi your....PhasesStripe right?" PermaFrost asked

"How do you know my name?" PhasesStripe asked

"Evergreen told me" Permafrost answered

"That Rosewing shouldn't be-" PhasesStripe began

"I asked her what your name was" PermaFrost interrupted

"I was curious of who you were so you don't need to blame Evergreen" he told her

"So now your defending her" PhasesStripe replied

"I never wanted to be a part of this prophecy I was just using it to get away from my horrible family" PermaFrost told her

Her eyes widened

"You used it as a excuse smart but I don't have anything I want to get away from" PhasesStripe replied

"Well I was just telling you why I followed Evergreen here" PermaFrost said

"So those dragons think just from one little vision that I would believe them?" PhasesStripe asked

"Yeah I think that's there thought" PermaFrost answered

"Well I'm not believing them" she informed him "I refuse to" she added

"Then don't believe them but there not going to stop until they get you to join them" PermaFrost told PhasesStripe

"And they should just respect my decision instead of trying to get me to change my mind" PhasesStripe growled

"Yeah they really should" PermaFrost aggred

This Winterhorn gets me she realized

They continued to talk for a while

Then Evergreen came into the clearing

Her shoulder fur rose

"Did you trick me to let her find me?" She asked PermaFrost

"No I didn't" PermaFrost answered

"Er PhasesStripe is there a way we can get you to join us?" Evergreen asked

"No there isn't" she answered

"Because you can't make me believe anything" PhasesStripe told her

"Alright that's your choice" Evergreen replied

Then she walked back out of the clearing

"You know you said that they would just keep asking yet she just accepted my answer" PhasesStripe spoke

"And they won't keep just having it be accepted, they think Plaera will be destroyed if we don't fulfill this prophecy" PermaFrost told her

And maybe other places as well she had heard stories of cave dragons that had lived in the old place that the Swiftclaws lived but they had been driven out by something and the Cometflight's had came with them to Plaera

Ack they were getting in her head again

"Those dragons are starting to get in my head" she complained

"That's probably what they want" PermaFrost replied

"Yeah your probably right" PhasesStripe aggred

"Tho I still refuse to trust nor believe them" She told him

"That's fine with me" Permafrost replied

It looked as tho the storm was calming

"I'm going now bye PermaFrost" She said

Then she dashed out of the forest

She shifted into her super speed the water from the rain flowing off her When she turned on her phasesing ability

Then she skidded to a halt far off from the forest

Her stop took a lot longer due to the ground being soaked from the rain

I don't get why the Tidestream's enjoy being wet

She shook the remaining water from her fur

She would need to clean the mud from her feet at some point before it dried on because she hated mud dried in her fur

So she needed to find a stream or river to wash it off in

But her way of tracking water sources when everything was soaked

Then she took to the sky

She flapped hard to get herself up into the air

She soared over the island the mud flying off her talons as she flew

Her striped wings glowed when the sun came fron behind the clouds

And she could swear she saw a rainbow in the sky

Tho she did just glide more then actually fly

So she didn't have to use nearly as much energy on a short flight

The fur on her wings blew around in the air

She landed down on a bolder so she wouldn't just get the mud back on and in her fur

She lifted her left front talon and began grooming it

Cleaning whatever mud managed to stay on her off

I wonder how Cometflights deal with being in confined spaces and how dose my tribe deal with it?

She couldn't stand small spaces it felt as tho she was being squished into this area that most definitely would not fit her

She stared over the island

It looked as tho she was the only dragon out right now

It was a bit weird being the only dragon out on the entire island tho that wouldn't mean she'd go into a cave or anything

She hated having walls closed in around her and forests were only a bit better

She could deal with wind and rain if it meant not having to go inside anything

The air had turned misty but the sun quickly burned that away

Like a light in the mist the sun comes through

So far she had been yet to find a hobby she could do while running, she had heard that some Swiftclaws could come up with songs while running but for the love of the sun she couldn't anything she came up with was horrible and never sounded good tho song making and poem making were the only two things that she could do while running and she was terrible at both so yeah no hobbies except for running for her

Her black tipped tail flicked around before resting around her feet

She wasn't sure how the other tribes could keep warm without fur covering their scales

If she were to actually join them she'd have to ask PermaFrost, of course that had a big if in it

PermaFrost seemed like a good dragon he wasn't persisting she join his group of prophecy dragons

She saw her icey friend coming over to see her

"Hey PhasesStripe" he spoke

"Hi PermaFrost" she replied

"I asked some of the others reasons to come along and not all of them are because a prophecy told them" PermaFrost informed her

"Well then what were the reasons?" PhasesStripe asked

"Well the Tidestream and Featherscale Aquamarine and Robin both think that even if the prophecy isn't real we can still try to stop the FeatherStream war and Gale our StormTalon wanted a adventure and ShadowSeeker never really wanted to join but the prophecyr convinced him" PermaFrost answered

"I've got another question tho" PhasesStripe told him

"What's the question?" PermaFrost asked

He had tipped his head to the side questioningliy

"Without fur how do the other tribes keep warm?" She asked

It looked as tho she had surprised him with her question

"Uh what we have natural body heating you don't?" He replied

"No we don't our fur keeps us Swiftclaws warm" she answered

"Well I didn't know Swiftclaws did not have natural heating like the other tribes do" PermaFrost replied

She stretched her fured wings out as far as they could go before folded them back on her sides

And she flicked her tail up for a moment

PermaFrost had seemed so surprised when she had said that her tribe got heat from there fur instead from anything else like the other tribes

"So are you curious about anything else?" PermaFrost asked

"No not really" PhasesStripe answered

"Kay I think I'm going to head back to the others now bye PhasesStripe" PermaFrost said

"Bye" she replied

Then PermaFrost walked away back towards the forest that really wasn't that far from here

She layd down her the flat stone she had been sitting on and she closed her eyes to take a nap

She slept for a while before waking back up

And when she did the sun had done a good job drying the ground so it was no longer wet

The flat stone was now sun warmed

But she hopped off it

The grass after it rained was always so soft

The sky was cloudless now

And other Swiftclaws were out now

And she took off to run her stripes glowing bright as she ran

Tho she ran for longer then she normally would

Am I getting energy out of my stripes? She wondered

She eventually slowed

Aquamarine

"It was a good plan" Evergreen told Gale

"She just refused to believe it" PermaFrost put in

Robin was cleaning her chest tho she took looks up to watch her

She still doesn't trust me, tho she dose have a good reason not to my tribe did destroy most of her island

I hope someday we can go and make it up to them by bringing there island back

Cause we can lift earth from water

I think that's why no other tribe ever joined the war because they didn't want us to destroy their islands, tho I can see a point in it

"Though did you really mean it when you said you only joined us to get away from your kingdom?" Evergreen asked

"I'm not to sure I agree with what we are doing so for now yes I did" PermaFrost answered

This may just all fall apart for her

"I came because I trust what we are going to do is stop this dang war" Aquamarine told her

"Who's with Aqua the war is stupid I know I am" Robin called out

"Me I'm with it" Gale added

"Me too" ShadowSeeker aggred

"You guys are the best" Evergreen told them

"You are still willing to stick with me no matter the costs to help our home" she finished

"Gale dose she really think we wouldn't?" Aquamarine asked her

"I don't know maybe not" Gale answered

"Then if she doesn't believe we would maybe we should go complete the prophecy on our own" Aquamarine replied

"No no I didn't mean that" Evergreen told them quickly

And her and Gale began to giggle

"We're teasing you we don't mean it" Aquamarine told her

There was silence from Evergreen then

"Oh..."

"I'm going out for a fly around the island" PermaFrost announced then took off flying away

His scales were glittering in the sun light

"Well I'm not going to be able to create a harsh storm like that for a while, it was hard enough doing it once" Gale told them "We won't ask anything from you for awhile" Evergreen replied

The young Rosewing was really kind, And it did not take long to learn that

"I think I might go and take a swim" Aquamarine told the group

"Kay we'll see you later" Evergreen replied

And she walked out of the clearing and towards the river

And she leapt into the river when she got to it

The water soaked into her scales, and she loved the feeling

She stretched herself out in the water

Then after her scales were throughly soaked she began to swim around

I hope your safe Min she thought to hopefully her sister even though she couldn't hear her

Eventually she brought her head from the water and swam over to the shore

She shook the excess water off her scales knowing her friends wouldn't approve if she came back dripping wet

Though she was still plenty wet

And she walked back to the clearing

"Enjoy your swim?" Evergreen asked

"Yeah I did enjoy it" Aquamarine answered

"That's good" Evergreen replied

Soaking scales were another way Tidestream's could keep hydrated and they needed more water then other tribes

"Your still a little wet" Niea commented

"I know I am" she replied

"I didn't want to be completely dry" Aquamarine told her

Seafoam raised his head

"You went swimming without me" Seafoam asked

"You were asleep and you don't like to be woken up so I went without you" Aquamarine answered

He yawned

"I'm tired" Seafoam complained

"You were just asleep how are you still tired" Evergreen asked

"Cats sleep for like twelve to sixteen hours a day" Niea told Evergreen

And Seafoam went back to sleep

Later PermaFrost glided back into the clearing and sat down opposite side from her and he was glaring at her again

"What did I do that your already glaring at me?" Aquamarine asked

"Your an annoying Tidestream" PermaFrost answered

"How am I annoying Princey?!" Aquamarine asked

"You call me Princey" PermaFrost answered

"It's just a nickname" Aquamarine replied

"And I don't like the stupid nickname" PermaFrost growled

"Whatever" Aquamarine replied

She curled her tail around her talons, it was a common pose that most dragons used on a regular basis

PermaFrost may not enjoy the nickname but she did and she wasn't going to stop just because he didn't like it

When she had been at home she had often took care of her youngest member Cod and helped him with stuff when he needed help and she hoped Minnow was helping him out while she was away, cause Cod is like a little brother to her

Gale brought Robin out hunting PermaFrost went out by himself Evergreen and Niea were sharing fruit and she went out to the river to fish for her and Seafoam

She Splashed her head in snapping for a fish, tho she did not catch a fish first try

Tho after a few tries she caught a few fish

She brought them back to the clearing and gave one to Seafoam

"Thanks" Seafoam thanked her

"Your welcome" Aquamarine replied

And she began to eat

They talked as they ate

She had noticed that Evergreen had ended up growing some smaller fruits for Niea

That were in her bag

"So what do you think we'll be doing next?" Seafoam asked

"It sounds like we'll be heading back to the market island for a little bit before heading off to whatever we're doing next" she answered him

"I hope we can end the war, it affects the creatures around the battlegrounds and we don't really like having to move from our homes because you have to fight" Seafoam replied

"I never knew you had such a opinion about the war" Aquamarine told him

"Well I do you dragons fighting kill creatures while fighting...like my parents" Seafoam added

"Oh Seafoam I didn't know you lost your parents" Aquamarine told him

"It doesn't matter I was very young when they died" Seafoam replied

"Well still it must have been sad" Aquamarine said.

She finished her fish and buried the bones.

She was not going to leave bones lying around.

She stretched her wings out and stretched the rest of her body.
