The Luncian people are a subspecies of reincarnated spirits that are some form of life that died from a force of nature and come back able to use the said force.

They are fairly common amongst Rion and Trison espically, but are able to be found in all parts of Friska entirely. They live in small tribes and villages on the outskirts of main cities and towns due to cultural preferences.

Luncian people have ranges of traits that seperate them from many spirits, such as;

-only being able to take on a physical form

-not remembering how they died in any way

-feeding off normal food and water instead of collecting energy from other living things around them

-have a wide range of emotions such as humans (a majority of the time)

-having no powers such as telportation, telekinesis, invisiblity, ect.

They are fairly easy to spot due to the physical attributes, such as strange pigmentation, pointed ears and the tatoos and markings they give themselves. Their height is also abnormal, the tallest Lunca man in record only reaching 5'10''-

There are four main subcategories of Luncas

WATER LUNCAS
Water Luncas are Luncas who die from drowing or any other water related tragedy. They are are to summon water to use in hand to hand combat and bend water nearby to use in fighting. They cannot use rainwater that has not fallen or hit the ground, however.

In extreme cases aswell, their water powers can freeze and if they are trained properly, can use ice to their advantages

They have a sapphire-toned pigmentation, their skin and hair usually raging in different shades of this tone:

In tribes, they are usually seen as higher, being warriors and tribe leaders due to the lore that surrounds them.

FIRE LUNCAS
Fire Luncas are Luncas who in their past lives died of fire related tradgies and came back able to bend fire. They are able to use anything with a heat source that is able to trigger a flame/anything with a flame itself. However, without the perfect weather, their powers are allmost useless.

This is why they are usually ranked lower than the other Luncas, being left with jobs such as potioneers. Even fire Luncian men aren't recommend to go to fight for the tribe.

They're skins are either a coal black or a bright red, their hair usually black. Their skin tone usually is inbetween the tones of this:

ICE LUNCAS
Ice Luncas are ones who die from any ice or snow related tragedy and they are able to use snow and ice to their advantages. They, like water Luncas, with critical training, they are able to use water.

They are seen as vital, due to the lore that sorrounds them being able to take care of the children. They are said to be protected at all cost, no matter the deaths that follow.

They are usually pure white, their hair and skin a frost tone, sometimes a light blue. It usually stands between a white or different shades of this tone:

MAGIC LUNCAS
This race of Luncas is extremely rare, also dubbed "stonemen" due to their heavy usuage of magic stones and their stone-like appearance. They are either spirits who got lost on the way to the Otherworld and reincarnate another life on Earth or a living creature who dies at the hands of magic.

They are deemed the highest of any Lunca, being able to possess great knowlege of the world and magic as a whole. Lore states that if you help one out with good in yout soul, they will grant you ten wishes that invole tbe spirit, heart and no gold.

Their skin vairies in colors, appearing in normal shades of humans, but they usually take apperances with deep grey skin that look like rock and green, mossy hair. Their skin usually ranges in shades of this tone;

CULTURE

The Luncian people tend to always live in tribes for safety and warmth, making lonely Luncas very hard to find. They have different potions for each man by the time they become a man (which includes a month-long trip in a forest painted in white, nude, with nothing but a weapon of choice to survive). The positions are the following:

LEADER-
They make sure everything is honkey dory, checking that everyone is doing their positions to help with the tribe. They make the biggest challenges and choices. A heir of their choice will go out and start a new tribe on their own through arranged marriage when they come of age.
Usually Water Luncas.

WARRIORS-
When fights break out between tribes, they're the ones who are sent out to battle. Tends to be sons of heirs. Usually Water Luncas

CARETAKERS-
The women of the tribe are deemed vital and holy for this reason. They take care of the young and the wounded, making sure everyone is alright and free of illness. They are primarily women but fire-Luncian men are said to take this job offer up. Usually Ice Luncas

HUNTERS AND GATHERS-
They are the the ones who go out and hunt for the tribe and cook, in charge. supplying the tribe with food and water. They are usually Fire or Water Luncas

BLACKSMITHS-
They create and build the weaponry used for the Warrioes to battle. They are rare in Tribes however due to how they cannot afford metal due to how they mainly live off the Earth rather than man-made creations. Usually Fire-Luncas

POTIONEERS-
They are the ones who concoct ans create potions to enhance the performances of the other Luncas during battle, healing or hunting. Usually Fire Luncas.

To determine everyone's place, everyone gets an earring to show their postions

Leader = Light blue
Warrior = Gold
Caretakers = Pink
Hunter and Gathers = Red
Blacksmiths = Black
Potioneers = Wooden

Magic Luncas are rarely spotted in tribes, due to how rare they are and if they are around, they usually prefer to be alone and withdrawn from society. They hide away from humans and other Luncas especially.

SOCIETAL VIEWS

Unlike a majorty of Friskans, they view women as holy and need of protection. They are sacred to them and if twenty men die, it doesn't matter as long as the woman is saved. If there is any crime in the trine committed against a women, the guilty is more likely to get murdered.

However, racial tension between the tribes does spark up extremly counterversal debates, even brining up if tribes should be segregated by race. A lot of Luncian youth tend to view Fire Luncas as lower and thr garbage of the tribe, assaults being more towards them then anyone else.

Homosexuality is something that is brought up, and as long as the couple is taking care of a Luncian child that would otherwise be parentless, the tribes seem to not bother them. But a childless homosexual couple is frowned upon due to how they cannot reproduce

TRANSFORMATIONS

The Lunca can come to life in two ways, reincarnation or birth.

REINCARNATION
They will be reincarnated to their Luncian forms and body in a span of 10 days. With the process, the soul is gathered and combined with the body once more, but the element will make up a majorty of the body.
IE a human tranforming into a Water Lunca will have a body that is mostly created by water

They will become a child around the age of eight or nine, then having a Lunca from a tribe take the child in to let the Leader raise it to be his own.

When a Luncian child is created out of sex, the child will be as of a normal human with genetics. However, with two cross-race Luncas breeding it will take on the dominate gene or will create a new entire Lunca race

Water and Fire = ash or smog Lunca

TRIVIA

*back in the Gem War when they were inslaved, they were called Redcoats due to the coats they wore while laboring. This is now considered a very offensive term to them these days.

*the name Lunca came from moon-cat, due to a human describing them with cat like eyes that pierce the nightfall
