"Let's go home," Yerin whispered to Hyunjae. "Please... don't stay here."

But he would. She knew he would. She'd written it like that. He'd put a smile on his face and go back. He'd try to pretend everything was normal. Until he gets home. Then he'd go to his room, alone, and break down all over again.

She knew this, of course, she did. She'd written it. And yet she wanted to change it now. Gosh, why had she hurt him like this?

"You're right," Hyunjae said softly. "We should go home."

Yerin stared up at him, so shocked that her knees buckled and she would have fallen back to the floor if he hadn't caught her.

"Yerin?" he said, his voice suddenly worried. Most of the sadness in his eyes disappeared as he turned his focus to her. "What's wrong? Are you feeling ill again?"

She shook her head, unable to do anything but stare wide-eyed at him. "You... you..." she said, stumbling over her words. "You changed?!"

"I what?" he asked, pulling her closer. He held her in his arms. "Really Yerin, what's wrong? You've been acting..."

"Crazy?" she offered.

"Kind of," he admitted, giving her a small smile. "But what's wrong? What do you mean I changed?"

You changed the script again. How are you able to do that? You were supposed to continue hanging out with Hyewon and Juyeon. So why... and how... did you agree to go back home with me?

She had so many questions, but looking at Hyunjae's adorably confused and worried face, she didn't say any of them. She just shook her head.

"I'm alright," she said slowly. "I'm fine, really. Let's just go home."

Hyunjae didn't look like he believed her, but he also didn't argue. He took her hand and started leading them home.

He held on tight to her hand, and he didn't let go until they were in his apartment. It was almost as though he were afraid.

Afraid that she'd disappear.
