A week has passed, it was graduation day. Nothing to be excited about, I have no family.

But some of my friends that aren't graduating yet, have come to support. Some of my friends parents have come to support me as well. I am this years 2019 Salutatorian and It was time for my speech:

Good Morning,

To all the students, faculty members, families and friends. My name is Melody Kwon, I am this years 2019 Salutatorian. I am most thankful to everyone who has helped me along the way, they have given me the courage to be up on this stage today.

If some of you remember, at the beginning of this our 4 year journey. A tragedy struck my home on Christmas Eve 2015. Where someone placed a home made bomb on my porch, where it blew up my family and all of my precious memories along with it.

I wipe my eyes, as the tears cascade down my cheeks. I hear a few people yell, "Melody We Love you, don't cry!!"

I let out a laugh, as I'm brought into a hug by my best friend and her family. I told them, I'm good and that I can finish.

Apologies everyone, even though I lost my family. I gained a new one, made more memories in their names. They helped me accomplish everything I wanted, for the loved ones I've lost.

I made sure that my grades never faltered, when I played athletics. I was always at the top of my game, cheering when I couldn't. Taking opportunities when I was allowed myself too, although my best friends parents often scolded me to get a teenage life.

I'd laugh it off, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I wanted to make my family proud of me, that we shouldn't take anything for granted. That we should take every opportunity that comes at us, so we can strive for ourselves and make our families proud.

I hope with me standing up here, giving you a boring ass speech. Whoops my bad, but I see some asleep in the audience. Anyways I know I'm not perfect, that I have my flaws but I found out I have a talent by going thru the struggles and troubles I had.

Class of 2019 we fucking did it!!!

I bowed than ran off stage.

I heard the principal shout my name, "Your lucky you graduated, with that mouth I'd hold your ass back!!" I heard a lot students ooh and you just got burned from the principal but he still cheered me on.

I was finally called up, the principal was a great man. He was also fathers best friend, as well as best man at his wedding. I'm going to miss him, I'm going home to visit my grandparents.

Yeah dad isn't from the states, my mom is though. But my grandparents live on an Island, they run one of the biggest resorts there. I'm going for the summer, to relax and also to work.

Reign my best friend and family are coming too. Relax and to work well me and Reign anyways. I hug my extended family, I wish to finish creating waves in my life that would be everlasting and memorable.

I can't wait to see what adventure is waiting for us.
