Yumi was abducted by Orochimaru and escaped barely with her own life, and she ends up in the village of Konaha. It seems as though she was saved by the slacker Shikamaru, who to her is the perfect guy. Although as the Akatsuki come searching for her so they can take her Tailed Beast, it may put their romance on hold.
