I walked into the restaurant beside the hospital, it's already january first, and trust me this is a very heart breaking way to start a year.

My two siblings are lieing on the hospital bed, my dad is stressed out cause he has been working 247 just to find out what really happened to Gabriel, my mum, so frustrated and tired and me just thinking of ways to kill Bishelle.

"A doughnut and a bottle of coke please." I said to the woman

"That will be two hundred naira." She said as i nodded ,giving her a two hundred naira note and went to sit down on one of the chairs in the restaurant.

I opened my phone seeing it was a whatsapp message.

Immediately i saw the two ticks go blue, not waiting for her reply, i went offline.
         
Putting my phone on the table, i took a bite out of my doughnut and sipped my drink, hoping something good was gonna happen.

I heard some shuffling and Diana telling someone to excuse her.

"I'm in, can you see me."

I saw her , standing at the front of the door, her first hand holding her phone at the front of her left ear and the other holding a chocalate bar.

If you must know, Diana doesn't go anywhere without holding atleast two chocolate bars , it's like a taboo for her.

She was wearing a pink hoodie crop top and a high waist blue denim crazy jeans, rocking a pink Nike boot. Leaving her black long curly hair to fall down, her dark beautiful skin glowing. Her beauty always seems to amaze me.

"Hello?"

""Yes i can, can you see me."
I asked waving my hands vigourously

"Yes."

She said rushing to meet me, she sat down but not before hugging me

"Explain to me, what happened." She asked, dropping her phone and chocolate bar on the desk and faced me waiting for my answer

"Bish happened." I said with gritted teeth as i clenched my hands

"You mean Bishelle, your brother's girlfriend."

"Who told you she is my brother's girlfriend." I said trying as much as possible to not yell at my bestfriend

"Bishelle told me they were dating."

"Well they are not." I snapped

"Hey hey, take it easy." She said raising her hands up

"I'm so sorry....i'm just....i'm just...frustrated." i said calmly

"I understand, just calm down and explain to me what happened."

"Well a lot happened."

"Okay, i'm listening." She said before a nurse ran to us

"Excuse me, are you a family member to our patient, Gabriel Adebayo."

"Yes." I said standing up, i got really scared ,what did she want to say.

"Well he is awake now and he will like to spea............

I didn't even wait for the nurse to complete her sentence. I ran, i ran like a crazy person to Gab's room with Diana trying to catch up with me.

I was already at the front of the room, i sighed before entering the ward.

"Gab you are okay." I said running to him, hugging him. Letting the tears flow down

"Yeah." He muttered

"Trina." Diana said, running into the room, breathing hardly.

"Gab is okay, he is fine now." I said while jumping as i held her hands , excited.

"Yeah." She said smiling

"Please I want to speak with Tori." I heard as I turned to look at Gab

"Can I speak with her." He asked

"Sure." I said, smiling

"Diana pls go to the next ward where Tricia is you will see a girl with her that's Tori, tell her that Gabby will like to speak with her." I said as D nodded running outside the ward.

"Thanks." Gabby smiled

"Always welcome."

"You are here, I've been looking for you everywhere. Gab is awake and he wants to speak with you....................

The dark skinned girl said as I stood up

"Diana, you are here." Tricia said

"Do you know her?" I asked

"Yes I am her best friend and Gab said he wants to speak with you." The "Diana" girl said

"Ok thanks, pls take care of Tricia." I said leaving the ward

I knocked on the door, waiting for a reply

"It's open."

I sighed, then entered the room. Trina was sitting beside Gael on the bed while Gael was lieing on the bed as he stared at the ceiling

"Oh Tori, you are here. I'll leave you too alone to talk." Trina said as I nodded before sitting on the plastic chair opposite the bed.

Feeling uncomfortable

"So you wanted to speak with me." I said breaking the silence

"Yeah." He muttered, staring at me nervously.

"How did it happen." He asked again

"What." I asked even though I knew exactly what he was talking about.

"The accident, how did it happen." He asked again

"I'm not sure all I could remember was that someone pushed me and boom you were on the floor, I still don't understand what could have happened." I said

"Okay, is there any other person who was there, that could tell us what really happened." He asked again

There is only one person that I'm sure knows exactly what happened.
