Chapter 2
Error stood waiting in Judgment Hall waiting for Ink to show up, but he never did. Bored and impatient from the waiting, Error decided to look through the aus until he came across Hope's void and found Ink talking to Hope about something. He shrugged realizing that he could have a once in a lifetime break. "M͞ayb͟e ̨I̛ ͟cou͝ļd ͟wa̢t͝c͜h so̵me ͏Und̷e̛r̛nov̢e̷la..." then he watched as Ink created a portal and went through. Curious, Error started flipping through aus to see where Ink went before he stumbled across an au he hasn't seen before.
"Ar̷t͏is̴t̀a͟l̛e hu̸h͡?̛ ̴Might a̴s̴ wel͏l ̡c̡h͡ec̷k ́it͡ ͜ou̸t.͠" Error opened a portal and found Ink drawing out the layout of a house and trees. Then Ink proceeded to draw other things like a bench, a bird bath, and other outdoor items. Wanting to see where it would go, Error left, it would take a few months to finish building anyways.
~Elsewhere~
Hope sat at her desk sketching out a possible look for her new daughter. So far she will have rainbow colored eyes, a paint smudge on her cheeks that are similar to Ink's, a brown painter's smock, pink dress, and a brown jacket. "Hmm...I dunno, I don't really like it. I need some ideas." Hope got up and went to various aus. She went to Underfell first and watched UF! Sally who wore a red overall dress, yellow t-shirt, black boots with a one inch heel, and red eye lights. Hope took notes on the appearance and went to the next au. She appeared in Underswap and watched US! Sally walk alongside her brother Sam and gave cold glares to anyone who looked at her brother wrong. This Sally wore a trench coat, a hot pink sweater, black jeans, white tennis shoes, and had white eye lights instead of pink while her brother wore a red t-shirt, denim blue overalls, black tennis shoes, and had bright green eye lights. Again Hope took notes and moved on, she continued this until she eventually came across Error and Ink's oldest son Paperjam. She took note of his gradient jacket while she caught up with him. After all of that searching she finally had an idea. Black boots, black jeans with green designs, a green t-shirt, a blue jacket with green gradience, and red, orange, and yellow eye lights. Now she just had to think of a name as she looked at the drawing.
"Adwin." Hope jumped at the sudden presence and turned her attention to the speaker.
"What?" Hope looked up at the taller skeleton dressed in brown. "What do you mean Ink?"
Ink looked down at the smaller skeleton who wore more colors than usual causing Ink to laugh at how she wore more colors than she used them before he responded, "For a name, I get that you wanted to name her but I should have a say too; I am kinda the dad." As he said that a golden hue dusted across Hope's face. Ink laughed at her reaction and almost fell over, until he did. Hope threw a heavy box of art supplies at his face knocking Ink flat on his back and ran off.
~10 minutes later~
Hope stormed off about ten minutes ago into the darkness of her home and Ink still couldn't find her. Ink felt bad for teasing her the way he did, she was very sensitive about the subject so it hurt her more than he did, and he had a crack on his skull so she had it worse. Ink rubbed his crack to try and ease the pain. He eventually found her pillow fort, somewhere she would seek refuge when she was upset. She had completely hidden herself with her oversized jacket and had buried herself with pillows. Ink, despite his pain, couldn't help but smile at Hope's antics that were kinda cute.
"Hope?" He got a muffle in response. "Aw come on Hope." He got a barely audible 'no'. Ink sighed and pulled her fluffy hood up so it no longer covered her skull. Guilt hit him right in his nonexistent heart when he saw her. Gold tears were stained to her cheekbones and more pooled out of her empty sockets. Her eye lights should always be visible, full of kindness and hope, but instead there was nothing but hurt and sadness.
With his magic paintbrush he made Hope's two favorite foods: chocolate and sushi. "I've got chocolate and sushi." Her eye lights appeared and she looked up at him before she finally sat up and accepted the food.
"You know I don't appreciate you joking like that." Hope spoke in a quiet and raspy voice as she ate.
Ink side hugged her. "I know and I'm sorry."
"It's fine...Adwin...what does it mean?"
"Artist or creator I think." Ink looked at Hope. "Adwin?"
Hope nodded, "Adwin."
"Mom? Dad?"
