Chapter 1
A rather annoyed and exhausted Ink summoned a portal to yet another au. Error had been destroying aus again and as usual Ink had to rebuild the aus and confront Error about it, but this time there were more destroyed aus than usual. Then a thought crept into Ink's nonexistent mind: "What if I had someone to help me? I can create universes so why can't I create a helper?" Ink looked around and spotted a red overall dress stained with bone marrow and monster dust. "They could be another Sally, I'm sure Hope wouldn't mind helping out." Hope was a fellow creator who helped to create Emotiontale, an au as old as Dreamtale, and Voidtale, surely she would love to help create one more au.
As he finished rebuilding Underfell he decided that he wouldn't confront Error today, instead he went to Hope's void that, unlike his and Error's void, was black. Over the years of visiting countless aus, like Outertale and Inktale, it was decorated with glow-in-the-dark stars and planets that didn't work too well, canvases and art supplies everywhere, and even things from the 90s. Ink didn't particularly enjoy going there because of how dark it was and would always trip over the same heavy rock that was never in the same place.
As it turns out this is one of the two months of the year that she was most busy. Ink walked through his portal and knocked on the 'wall' catching Hope's attention. "I hope you're not too busy."
She stopped trying to get a banner down she was struggling to reach and walked over. "Hey Ink! No, I'm not that busy, just bringing down the decorations from my son's birthday from a few weeks back. What did you need? I know it's gotta be important since you don't necessarily like walking cluelessly in the dark and tripping over rocks." She laughed as she said the last sentence and as she did her grey and blue magic hair waved carelessly revealing glitter and paper stuck in it. Her coat that was much too big for her had more colorful paints dried onto it and clumped together in the faux fur. Her blue shirt was surprisingly spared from the array of colors while her black pants and boots were victims of the rainbow. Her eyes were both gold with a gradience of orange and yellow symbolizing hope, bravery, and justice that lit up when she laughed or smiled.
"Actually I was hoping you could help me create another au and version of Sally." Ink replied smiling at her joy.
Her entire demeanor changed in a matter of seconds. "What for? Why do you need another au?" Her look was dead serious and demanding an explanation.
Ink flinched under the cold, hard glare. He's used to her eyes being warm, gentle, and caring but when she glares at you they become red, orange, and yellow; determination, bravery, and justice. "E-Easy there, I just needed a little help with protecting the aus lately and thought instead of my helper living in a void they could live in a normal au."
"Her eyes soon switched to normal and lit up in awe and excitement. "Awww! That's so sweet of you! Okay, I'll help but on two conditions: you let me name and design her."
"Sounds good to me," Ink responded and began to open up a portal,"I'll get the au set up and ready to be inhabited." And with that he left but Hope couldn't help but feel dread; something was going to happen and it wasn't good.
