Hawaii, 2XXX

Sitting down on their knees laid a female light blue hedgehog as she stare ahead at her four students training in a large dojo with a tree growing near its center. Zero and Gadget face off first. They stood there for moment until Zero attacks first with his sword raised.

Gadget yelped and quickly dodged on time as Zero spins his sword around. Gadget deflect it with his nunchucks as they kept going back and forth until Zero manage to hit him in the stomach with pommel. Gadget groaned and was about to collapse when Zero caught him and helped him back up.

"You fight good."

He then kissed him on the lips, causing the wolf to blush in embarrassment and sit next to Y/N who watched in amusement. On the opposite, Mighty and Ray are facing off.

"You sure you can do this? I really don't want to hurt you. Just put down that staff."

"Really? And let you underestimate me? No way!" Ray scoffed.

"Don't say I didn't warn you."

Ray spins his staff and swings it at Mighty who dodged it as he continues to do that. Ray suddenly finds himself without the staff. He sees Mighty with it, who spins the staff and then breaks it in half over his knee.

"Should've dropped the staff?" Ray gulped in nervousness.

"Should've dropped the staff." Mighty smirked.

Mighty then lightly smacks Ray with both sections of the staff.

"Hmph! Ow..."

Ray then sat down next to Gadget who pats his back to comfort him. Zero steps up to face Mighty, who drops the staff. They face each other, one knee on the floor.

"Onegai shimasu."

"Onegai shimasu."

They let out their battle cry and begin their fight, sword against sai. Zero manages to force one sai out of Mighty's hands. It flies across the room, going between Gadget and Ray before Y/N caught it. Zero tries to trip him with his long fluffy tail, but Mighty jumped over it and charged straight towards Zero and managed to disarm him using his sword. He then traps Zero's wrist in the sai and throws him over his shoulder, putting him on the ground.

"Nice try."

Mighty helped Zero up as they bow to each other respectfully.

"Yame."

Y/N stood up from her kneeling position and walked over as the four students seated themselves.

"You all did very well. Be aware of yourself if you find yourself in a bad situation, you do no harm. Unless they attempt to harm you, you do lots of harm on them. Don't let emotions get the best of you because that will give the enemy their advantage on you. Remember, wisdom comes from experience, and experience comes from making mistakes. That is all for today. Have a great summer. It was nice teaching all of you."

They bowed to her with a smile.

"Hai, Y/N-sensei. You too."

They then begin to pack their stuff and left the room. Y/N sighed happily that she finally take a break from teaching as she glanced around the room and smirked at something in the corner.

"Hey, Espio. Let me grab my bag and we'll head to our favorite place."

She grabbed her bag and saw Espio turned visible from the invisibility standing in front of her with a smile. He must have snuck in when the students are training.

"Sure. Cherry On Top?"

"You've read my mind." she chuckled.

"How are your students?"

"It's fine. I'm happy that summer is finally here. Teaching them how to defend themselves can be tiring."

"Well, at least your training finally paid off. I can already tell that they're gaining their true potential."

"Yeah."

The couple then drove off to Cherry on Top as Y/N bought her favorite yogurt with some toppings except for Espio who insisted he didn't want to eat anything when they ordered. Though, that's a lie as Espio ate nearly half of her yogurt in small scoop. Y/N was unamused to this.

"You know what? You can order your own."

"Mm... I'm fine."

"Yeah, well, you always say that, and then ended eating all of my yogurt."

Espio smiled cheekily, wiping the yogurt off his cheek.

"I don't know what you're talking about 'cause I have like tiny bit."

Y/N giggled, rolling her eyes.

"Aha. Yeah. Can we have one more of these? Thank you."

"So, how'd you like to take adventure to east?"

Y/N looked at him in confusion.

"I don't know. What? Like Queens?"

"No, like Tokyo. For summer break."

Y/N was surprised to hear that. Sure, she always dreamed of going to Japan one day since she's been learning how to speak and write in Japanese for two years in her high school days.

"Tokyo? The Tokyo?"

"Yeah. It's my friend Antoine's wedding. We've been dating for over a year now and I think it's about time people met my beautiful, strong, and kind girlfriend. I'm Antoine's best man. Don't you want to see how I grew up? Meet my family? My own mother? And meet up with that strange friend of yours?"

"Amy Rose. She has been begging me to come visit her or else she'll find me and smash me with her hammer."

"That's her alright. I never want to get on her bad side. But the universe has spoken. It wants you over that. You're also a great martial artist like the rest of them. Come to Tokyo. I want the whole world to meet Y/N the Hedgehog."

"Aw, Espio."

Y/N smiled in flattery and leaned in and kissed him on the lips. Espio happily kissed back, not knowing someone took a picture of them.

Meanwhile, Constant Vigil was having a tea with the brides of different ninja clans as they talk about their culture and stuff when they all suddenly got some text messages.

"Constant Vigil. Is Espio bringing out a girl hedgehog to Antoine's wedding?" Conquering Storm asked. "Lien-Da heard it from her friend Fiona."

"He says her name is Y/N the Hedehog." Endless Reach added.

"Oh, I thought that Espio is coming home? Did you know he had a girlfriend?"

"Espio dates many girls. It's hard to keep track." Constant Vigil lied.

"Lien-Da knows everyone, and she had never heard of her." Conquering Storm said. "Y/N the Hedgehog. I heard she's the sister of the hero Sonic the Hedgehog."

"If you want, my ninja can look more into it without being spotted." Endless Reach offered.

"I think we should return to having a tea party and focus on our culture. Endless."

"The Web of Fate foretold a girl who wears a red ruby that grants unlimited power to the one who wears it. The web also told me that after she was born before getting the gem, she was gifted with something by the four unknown creatures. It did not tell me who they are, but they are a graceful, peaceful creatures that sought to protect and fight the evil. Oh, I hope Y/N is the great girl. She sounds very interesting."

Constant Vigil resisted the urge to glare at her to silent her and decided to call her son Espio.

Back to Y/N and Espio, Espio got a call from his phone and checked it.

"It's my mom. Do you mind?"

"I'm fine."

"Alright. Save some for me."

"I'll try."

Espio gave her a look with a smile before heading into the empty corner and answered it.

"Hey, mom. Everything okay?"

"Does something have to be wrong for me to call?"

"Yeah, usually." Espio smirked.

"Hahaha. Very funny. Are you bringing the girl to see Antoine's wedding?"

Espio raised his eyebrow.

"We were literally just talking about that. How'd you know?

"Everybody knows."

He looked around the restuarant to find a Mobian woman hurrying out of the restuarant.

"A fan..."

"We're looking forward to having you home. And your room is all ready... for you."

"Thanks, mom. But Y/N and I will be staying together."

"I see. Well, I'm having the house redone, and it's not ready for guest. If Y/N comes, I think she might be more comfortable staying somewhere else."

Espio wanted to talk back to her, seeing that she doesn't seem to like his girlfriend. He glanced back to see Y/N stuffing her face with yogurt and immediately get a brain freeze. This made him smile at the funny sight.

"Sorry, but I'll be renting a hotel room. I'm perfectly well fine."

He then hung up on her and returned to his seat next to Y/N.

"Sorry about that."

"I saved you a scoop."

Espio looked down just to see the yogurt is halfway gone and it's only small.

"You did, did you? A very small scoop of that. Thank you very much."

He then scooped up the last yogurt and ate it anyway.

"How's your mom? Everything okay?"

"Couldn't be better."

Y/N leaned in and kissed Espio quickly.

"Good."
