Day 3

-Y/n's POV-
I woke up with mascara stained cheeks, and memories of James. What a jerk! I hate him! 'No, you don't.' That sweet Irish voice sang. Now he's in my head, too? Gah! Alright, whatever. Yep, I love him, but he can be such a pain sometimes! Though, I did know this coming in, I mean it's like playing with fire, so beautiful, but it can burn. Bzzzz.

From James;
Good Morning, just wanted to wish you luck today, and ask how things are? Make any new friends? Hm? Meet ex-lovers? New ones, maybe?
~JM

Is he really accusing me of trying to cheat on him?! That insufferable-!

From Sebby;
Sorry about Boss, there was a chat box on the live cast yesterday, and he learned somethings, mainly that you get a new 'lover' every year at this thing, and that people 'ship' you with that Joker guy. He was a wreck last night, and still happens to be 'drunk'. He literally drank half the bar.
-Moran

Oh. Well, I guess there's an excuse, but in still getting payback on him.

From You;
James, calm yourself. I have a boyfriend, I'm not exactly looking for guys to break hearts, alright? And seriously? YOU are talking to ME about cheating? Insufferable child. LOL
-TheBlackQueen

From You;
Alright, but I'm hacking the video feed later, make sure resistance is 100% and James doesn't know in advance, aright?
-TheBlackQueen

That should teach him. He really could be a moron sometimes, but oh well. I began getting ready, pulling a pair of black leggings on, then remembered the Harley Quinn thing we were doing, so I pulled on my 'Daddy's little monster' shirt (don't ask why I have it, it's a really long story), and a pair of shorts that were half-red, and half-blue dyed denim. I threw my hair up into the same pigtails as yesterday, but washed the red (which was more of a pink now) out of the left side of my hair, and put blue instead. I did the left eyeshadow the same blue, and the rights side red, before adding a blood red lipstick. I pulled a black leather jacket on, and my combat boots. I looked pretty great. I quickly checked my messages.

From Sebby;
The hell did you say to him?!
-Moran

From James;
ARE YOU SERIOUS? THIS IS FOR WORK AND NOTHING BUT! WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO SAY? 'YEAH, GO AHEAD AND SLEEP WITH SOME BLOODY MALE MODEL' OR 'NO I WILL NOT CARE IF YOU FALL FOR ANOTHER GUY, SURE GO AHEAD'?
~JM

Okay, so maybe I was a little harsh... Wait, was he. . . Jealous? Yeah I knew people have been wanting me and Jackson together for quite some time, but he wasn't really my type. He wanted to stand out like a sore thumb, and would do anything to, even when it was ridiculous. James was the same way, don't get me wrong, but he liked to do so subtly, expensive cologne, Westwood suits, that sort of thing. Dying your hair green, and getting a 'J' tattoo? Yeah, that's too far.

From You;
A-I don't like him, and never will! We're friends. You need to cool it. B-You can't even feel comfortable with me going to a group lunch, because one guy is there. James, I love you, but you are seriously being ridiculous.
-TheBlackQueen

That should do it. He needs to understand I'm his girlfriend, not his property. The moment he did that, all of this would be over.

From James;
I know, I know. I'm sorry, it's just... I'm me. I don't know how this works...
~JM

Well, it was a start. At least he apologized, and explained his side of things. To be honest, it was kind of sweet, I mean, he's only upset because he's afraid to lose me, really. I texted back a reassuring message, and grabbed my computer bag. When I got to the venue, I had to immediately take my place. My headlining performance went off without a hitch, and everyone absolutely loved all the dark, crazy colour scheme, and crazy special affects. We had a small intermission, where I mainly spoke with my fellow presenters, all of us in complete fan gear, looking very suicide-squad-y. Jackson decided we should all go to a local pub this evening, and we all agreed it would be fun. Then came time for my seminar. My example was the Australian government weapon's program, and I explained how to cross IP's and set main routers, and fool them instantly. I showed a couple different tactics, and people started asking me to do one as a show-off.
"Well, what should I hack?" I was very polite, but honestly I already knew what I'd be hacking. I stood on the stage in front of everybody, while Jackson and Andrew decided to drop in to watch.
"The CIA Top secret files!"
"That'd be too easy, do MI-6's!"
"Wait! Wait! Can you try hacking James Moriarty's Network?!?!" There it was. Bingo. Everyone gasped, like that was some impossible feat, and to be honest, it kinda was. I did set up the security system, so it is nearly impossible. I may not even be able to.
"I can totally try!" I pretended as if I had no clue what to expect, but I would have to actually try. This would be difficult. I plugged in some of my other laptops, and an extra security router, and began typing. People stared in amazement as I bypassed the first level of security. The second. Third. Almost there. Fourth gate unlocked... And.... I was in.
"What would you guys like to see?" I smirked at my accomplishment.
"Ooh, can we see his video feed? I want to know what Mr. I'm-So-Bad does in his free time!" I clicked a few buttons, directing myself to the camera feed. I started in his kitchen, nothing, his room, nothing, his office, maybe? Nothing. I finally got to the living room. My heart physically broke. Shirtless, with a pair of sweatpants on, was James. Only, he was on top of one, Ms. Jewel Calphy, in nothing but a pair of MY shorts, and a bra. They were in an intense make-out session, one he was clearly in charge of. Andrew's jaw hit the floor, before he looked like he was going to murder James. Sebastian came running in, and looked worried.
"Sir! We're being hacked!" He was out of breath, and James immediately shot up, and was in total disbelief.
"That's impossible!" He started heading to his office, and I quickly covered my tracks. I used the cameras to follow them.
"What are they hacking?" He asked as he sat at his computer, looking fine as ever.
"Wow, never knew he was that hot!" A girl in the third row exclaimed.
"But he's using Ms. Calphy, maybe if you ever become useful, he'll sleep with you!" Her friend joked, and I could feel myself breaking as I stoically stared at the screen.
"The video feed, sir." I cut it out there. I couldn't see any more of that perfect woman, with James. Her lipstick on his face, I couldn't do it. Worst part was, he was actually enjoying it. It no longer appeared to be because of the job, it appeared he liked it. Her. Whatever. My phone rang. I checked the caller ID.

James

I answered it. Then instantly regretted it.
"We just got hacked! They were in the video feed, what are we supposed to do?!" I wanted to tell him to go die in a hole, but he was still my boss. I exited the stage, not caring how upset I looked.
"Not they, me. I was in the video feed. I was demonstrating something, no one know how to do it, if that's what you're worried about. Just, leave me alone." I could hear the realization coming to him.
"Kitten, no, that's not what it looks like..." He seemed desperate, but the words everyone had been saying to me echoed in my mind.
"I'm done being manipulated. I'll see you at work in a day and a half." I hung up. My words came caving in. No more sweet mornings being held in strong arms, no more long nights filled with bad Telly and trying to explain fandoms to him. What have I done? 'You got rid of someone bad for you.' Was all that came to mind, but then suddenly, another voice piped up.
'You left the only person you've ever truly loved.' Great. My mind was fighting. Andrew came rushing back to check on me, and Jackson followed.
"You alright? You seemed a little... Distant? Up there." Jackson asked. I nodded, but he didn't believe me. He pulled me down as he kneeled beside me, throwing an arm over my shoulders.
"If she tells you, you've got to swear not to tell anyone." Andrew said before I could.
"Of course, secret's safe with me." He pulled me closer, wrapping his other arm around me.
"I've been, well, dating James Moriarty. I just broke it off with him." Jackson seemed sympathetic, and understanding. The realization of how hard that had to be for me, seemed to hit him like a truck.
"His loss. That woman isn't even that attractive! I mean, look at you!" He motioned to me, and I laughed a little, a blush creeping to my cheeks.
"He's crazy, sis. Losing you for her would be like losing a diamond to a worthless rock." Andrew commented, and I finally fell into Jackson's warm embrace.
"Thank you guys, really. It means a lot. I just feel like I finally found someone who liked every side of me, and now it feels more like I was some sort of game." I admitted. Jackson furrowed his brow, scowling.
"Well, if he saw you as a 'game', he just lost. Either way, he lost. So, go be this beautiful, strong, harlequin woman I know. Alright?" Jackson asked, a smile creeping to his face. I looked up at him with one of my own.
"Alright." We stood up, and exited the event, since it was over now. Andrew had grabbed my stuff, and we met everyone else outside for a photo. It was getting late, and we headed to this pub Jackson was a fan of. Daniel seemed to agree. We sat around a table, and Jackson ordered a round of shots.
"What, why?" Charlie asked, slightly confused. It was a well known fact that Jackson didn't drink often.
"We have a friend to comfort, and she needs a drink. So let's just forget all the rules, and drink until we can't remember our own names, much less some jerk of an ex's." I laughed slightly, and Daniel and Charlie looked to me for conformation.
"Yep. Dumped my cheating ex." This seemed to throw them off even more.
"What? Who the hell would be stupid enough to cheat on you?" They said at nearly identical times. Luckily, the waitress came with our shots.
"Actually, get two more rounds, and keep them coming, alright?" Charlie told her, "Drinks are on me, guys. That jerk deserves no place in anyone's house of memories!" We all cheers to the the band reference, downing the shot, then another and another.
"So, I've got a questions." Jackson slurred, and we all giggled.
"Why you like that dill-weed in the first place?" Another round of laughter.
"I dunno. He was hot. Sexy accent. Sexy... Everything." I barely made it through the giggles.
"We should call him! Let him know what a dill-weed he is!" A round of 'yeahs' and 'huzzahs' sounded and I pulled out my phone. It took me a few tries to dial his number, but I eventually got it. It didn't even ring once.
"Y/n?!" He exclaimed in a desperate plea, "Oh my god, I am so sorry! Please just-" Jackson cut him off.
"No sworrys from you, dill-weed!" We giggled as a group at his snake-like words.
"Bloody hell, who is that? And are you drunk?!" He exclaimed.
"No duh!" Haley laughed like a hyena.
"Hold on, is there anyone who isn't drunk in the vicinity?" He asked calmly.
"Nooooo-Pe" I held the no, then popped the 'p' sound, and we laughed some more. Andrew returned from the bathroom, and immediately took my phone.
"Who the heck are you talking to?" He demanded.
"Wait- someone who's still sober?!" James said as if he were shocked. Andrew rolled his eyes.
"Yes, y/n kept stealing my drinks, plus we need someone to make sure she gets home alright. She's downed nearly doubled what anyone else has." Andrew kept you from falling over.
"Let's stop talking about how drunk I may or may not be, and let's play a game! Yeah!" Everyone quickly agreed, and Andrew just groaned.
"Wait, y/n hold still!" Jackson moved towards you.
"Why?" I asked giggling, before Jackson smashed his lips drunkly onto mine. Haley snapped a photo.
"OMG! MY BOSS IS TOTALLY GOING TO FREAK!" She was so excited. The kiss felt good, but it didn't feel... Right. Of course, in my drunken state, I didn't care.
"Okay, well, I should probably let you go... Bye." He hung up my phone, and I continued to kiss Jackson, the kiss deepening by the second. When we broke apart, we were all laughing, but I could feel Jackson's eyes trained on me. When we finally left the pub, Jackson came up to my room. Nothing happened, we just sat in our underwear watching rom-coms and eating ice cream. It was really nice. He didn't want to 'try' anything, and he knew that it was too soon, even with as drunk as he was. We ended up falling asleep on opposite sides of my bed.

-Magnussen's POV-
Moriarty broke y/n's heart during her seminar, and she and Jackson seem to be getting close... I followed them to the pub, not being close enough to listen in, but knew they called someone. They were the kind of drunk that would black someone out. Then Jackson full-on kissed her. I smirked, knowing this would drive Moriarty up a wall. Jackson went to y/n's room with her, and this was even better. I truly did find y/n mesmerizing, but hurting Moriarty was worth more than gold.

From You;
Oh, Moriarty. It would seem that the girl you're falling for is having no troubles falling for her very own Joker. How unfortunate. Maybe you can make a bride of Jewel. Oh wait. She's already married...
-CM

Now, we wait.

From Moriarty;
Oh, give it up, Magnussen. I don't love her, and her being with some random idiot doesn't bother me. Now shut up and let me sleep!
~JM

Beautiful. Absolutely stunning, he played his part perfectly.

From You;
Alright, but I'd only assume how terrible for business it would be if they did happen to 'hook up'.
-CM

He would be here tomorrow morning. Oh, how sentiment ruins us. I retreated to my mind vault.

-James' POV-
I slept with Jewel last night. It wasn't good, but at least I'd have the evidence to ruin Calphy's marriage. Just a few well placed compliments, and she'd happily file for divorce. Then, I could drop her and never do anything like this again. I could spend my days planning assassinations and with my hacker. Unless... Did she like that Joker-guy? D-Did she want him, over me?
'Probably.' SHUT UP, SEBASTIAN! Okay, no. Don't think like that. Still partially drunk and half-asleep, I wrote a message.

From You;
Good Morning, just wanted to wish you luck today, and ask how things are? Make any new friends? Hm? Meet ex-lovers? New ones, maybe?
~JM

I sent the message. I read it over, and immediately regretted what I said. Accusing HER of cheating?! What was I thinking! No! No! No! Could anything go right for thirteen seconds? My heart sank to the pit of my stomach as I received a text.

From Kitten;
James, calm yourself. I have a boyfriend, I'm not exactly looking for guys to break hearts, alright? And seriously? YOU are talking to ME about cheating? Insufferable child. LOL
-TheBlackQueen

Great. Now she was upset at me. I couldn't blame her, but I guess the drunk-jealous part of me took over.

From You;
ARE YOU SERIOUS? THIS IS FOR WORK AND NOTHING BUT! WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO SAY? 'YEAH, GO AHEAD AND SLEEP WITH SOME BLOODY MALE MODEL' OR 'NO I WILL NOT CARE IF YOU FALL FOR ANOTHER GUY, SURE GO AHEAD'?
~JM

Did I have to be so stupid?

From Kitten;
A-I don't like him, and never will! We're friends. You need to cool it. B-You can't even feel comfortable with me going to a group lunch, because one guy is there. James, I love you, but you are seriously being ridiculous.
-TheBlackQueen

Okay, she was right. Besides. She loves me. 'You don't deserve for her to.' Sebastian. Stop. I know I don't, but I still love her, alright? Okay. I apologized, something that I didn't mind doing since it was her, and everything was back to normal. Ms. Calphy was still here. Great. Miya made breakfast, which Jewel joined us for.
"I must say, I didn't expect you to be able to cook, Miya." Jewel complimented. Miya smiled brightly. It probably tasted good to most people, but me and Sebastian still were used to the lavish breakfasts, fit for kings, that y/n made.
"Oh, thank you, Jewel. Y/n has been teaching me." Jewel smiled sweetly, but there was hatred in her eyes. She wasn't a particularly bright woman, but she knew a thing or two about relationships. Enough to know that I had quite the infatuation with my girlfriend. Odd sentence, alright then.
"You should taste Senpai's cooking; she could be head chef in a five star restaurant." I couldn't help the small, nostalgic smile that grew into my features. It was little things like this that gave Jewel the clues to know I liked her. My mind wandered, AGAIN! How her smile was like diamonds sparkling on beautiful beaches. Her s/t soft as satin. Her perfume dancing around me, luring me in when in even the darkest moods...
"Well, I see everyone thinks very highly of this woman. How about you, James? What do you think of her?" I was pulled from my daydreaming. Crap. What did she say?
"She's a great asset. She is getting the title of 'Best Hacker in the World' for the what? Tenth time, now? Though, she works for me, so it is to be expected." I shrugged as if it were nothing, and I could feel Miya's and Sebastian's smiles fade.
"She's so sweet, though! She's even giving Miya singing lessons! She has a beautiful voice! You would enjoy her company Ms. Calphy." Jewel looked towards Sebastian, unamused.
"She must have a good voice, I mean, it did save her skin and get her an actual job here!" Miya exclaimed, this took Jewel by surprise. I knew Miya didn't mean to screw up my operation, she just was excited to be talking up her best friend. Plus, Miya hated Jewel. She was rude, and couldn't take a joke to save her life. She was needy and just a total-
"What ever do you mean, Miya?" Jewel stated coldly.
"Well, Boss was going to kill her, you see. Her dad sent us to torture and kill her, but when we got there, she blasted, oh what was it, some Pan!c song, and took a thirty foot drop.
Boss still was in the mindset to have her head. She didn't even flinch when she was cuffed to a chair, and when he started taking out some of the 'devices' she got bored, and started singing some Bach song. They got to talking, and she became his hacker. The entire ride home, she was singing some of their favorite songs, and I honestly believe that if she hadn't known that song so well, he would've killed her." Moran finished the story, and Jewel seemed utterly unimpressed.
"You let someone go?" She asked as if it were some kind of challenge. This was what she was known for. She would challenge you, then back out.
"Yes, problem?" She looked at me, then politely shook her head.
"Is there anything this woman can't do?" She asked sarcastically.
"Well, she's well versed in weaponry, hand to hand combat, hacking, cooking, singing, and all, but she never did learn to dance..." Me and Jewel snapped our heads to Sebastian. He looked between us like we were crazy, as he took another bite.
"She's well versed in firearms?" I spoke at the same time Mrs. Calphy snapped, "I was being rhetorical." She looked at me.
"Seriously Ms.Calphy, is there a problem?" I stated forcefully, and she immediately backed down. Ugh. This was boring. I thought about how Kitten would respond.
'Oh, no. Nope. No problems here, except that she could never have my levels of sass.' Then we would laugh, and I would feel myself slip slightly further into the abyss of her controlling me. Best part? I didn't care. We finished breakfast, and Jewel insisted we watch TV. It was mainly reality crap television, and I couldn't care less. I charmed Jewel throughout the morning, never bothering to even get ready.
"You know, I think we could be very happy together." Jewel pretended to be timid as she flirted the statement. Bingo.
"But you, my love, are married." I looked down to her, putting my best longing look on. I thought back to that day at the airport, how I looked to my Kitten before not seeing her for a week. I pictured those gorgeous e/c eyes, with those perfect framing h/c locks, and that smile that could break a man's soul... I think it worked.
"I could always divorce him. We could... Start something here..." She pulled herself on top of me, and I knew this was my chance. Seal the deal, Moriarty. Seal the deal. I pushed her down on to the sofa, having all control over her.
"You should, then we should." I smirked, and kissed her with all the passion I could muster. It had to last for a couple of minutes before Sebastian came to my rescue, but not with the best news...
"Sir! We're being hacked!" I shot up. Th-That isn't possible! I mean, the world's best hacker did set up our security, so it couldn't be... Right?
"That's impossible!" I leapt from Jewel, and sprinted to my office, "What are they hacking?" I looked at my laptop, and sure enough, there was an untraceable extra viewer. Great! I dialed y/n's number, terrified about what information they could be looking for. She answered, eventually, and she didn't greet me. Something was off... Oh well, this could get her killed! If Magnussen or Scotty was doing this, all the information they could get could lead them to be able to hurt her. I was NOT letting that happen.
"We just got hacked! They were in the video feed, what are we supposed to do?!" I was terrified. She had a room with a window, crap! They could just sneak in, and BAM! Nonononononono. She would help us solve this. I looked back to my screen, and realized the assailant was gone.
"Not they, me. I was in the video feed. I was demonstrating something, no one know how to do it, if that's what you're worried about. Just, leave me alone." What? Realization hit me like a truck. She just saw what happened, and entirely out of context.
"Kitten, no, that's not what it looks like..." I could feel every shred of happiness storm from my body.
"I'm done being manipulated. I'll see you at work in a day and a half." Was that- did she just- Are we over? Was the light of my everything, just, snuffed out? I could feel my breathing stagger.
"Boss? Are you alright? What happened, did they get something important?!" He hadn't been in here for the conversation. He hadn't heard my desperation. He would just know what happened...
"No. I'm not alright. No one intruded, it was only y/n..." He furrowed his brow.
"What do you mean, isn't that a good thi-" An epiphany struck. One that hurt more than her dumping me in the first place.
"She thought I was manipulating her?" The pain of that welled and struck. Every thing I had broke, until only pain was left.
"Wh-Why would she think I was manipulating her?!" My pain contorted into anger. She needed to know that wasn't the case, so I frantically called her again. Voicemail.
"Y/n, I know I was in the wrong, and there is no reason you should forgive me, though I would like a chance to at least explain. If you think I was using, or manipulating you for even a second, then YOU are wrong. I'd never do that to you! I need you to know that. Please?" I finished, and then called her twice more, saying nearly the same thing every time.
"Sebastian, please tell Jewel I have to deal with a security breach. Also," If she wouldn't answer, then I'd give her no choice but to listen, "I need a helicopter ready for late tonight." He nodded, and went to work. I slumped into my chair, the shock, pain, and frustration burning through me. I clicked on my office pager.
"Yes, Jim?" Miya asked politely.
"Yeah, uh, I need a glass of scotch brought to my office, immediately." She hummed a response and went to get it. A world without
y/n wasn't a world I wanted, but if it's what she wanted, then fine. I'd deal... Somehow... Miya brought in my drink, and I immediately downed it.
"Wow, was that breach  THAT bad?" Miya asked, somewhat concerned.
"It wasn't a breach. It was y/n. And she saw... everything." My voice hiccuped, and Miya finally saw what we've been trying to show her all this time.
"I'm sure she'll get over it, she's tough, besides, I don't think she could stand even a few weeks without you." Miya reassured, as I blankly stared at the wall in front of me. It onl took a few minutes before Sebastian came in.
"Where to Boss?" I looked down at my phone, tapped a few buttons, and came up with her current location.
"Sydney, Australia. I'll tell the driver the address." I stood up, and stalked off to my room, packing a few things. I would leave later tonight. Take Jewel to dinner, dump her, send the photos to her husband, then bomb his enterprises with the moles I implanted four months ago. All work on different levels, they'll place the explosives, then, when they've left, I'll snipe them. Everything he worked for, gone. Then I'll liquefy his bank account. Why wasn't this making me feel better? I got ready for dinner, but decided to send Calphy the photos first. Eventually I decided to screw dinner. That's about when my phone rang. I looked lazily at the caller ID, expecting it to be Jewel wondering where I was, and was about to ignore it. Then I realized what it read.

Kitten

Sh-She called me? I quickly answered, not even caring to let it finish the first ring.
"Y/n?!" I exclaimed in a desperate plea, "Oh my god, I am so sorry! Please just-" I didn't get to finish my apology. I got cut off, and not by y/n, either.
"No sworrys from you, dill-weed!" A very drunk man asked, and I was instantly taken a back. Why did he have her phone...
"Bloody hell, who is that? And are you drunk?!" I was digging for information.
"No duh!" Some female stated, and started laughing quite irritably. Great. I was on speaker.
"Hold on, is there anyone who isn't drunk in the vicinity?" I tried to stay calm, realizing she was also probably on the line.
"Nooooo-Pe." Her sweet voice. Finally. But- Wait- She was drunk, too?! Great!
"Who the heck are you talking to?" Ah, Andrew. He didn't seem drunk, either.
"Wait- someone who's still sober?!" I was fairly surprised, but thinking back to what I knew of him, it made sense.
"Yes, y/n kept stealing my drinks, plus we need someone to make sure she gets home alright. She's downed nearly doubled what anyone else has." She was drinking her pain away. And it was my fault. Why did I have to be such a bloody idiot?
"Let's stop talking about how drunk I may or may not be, and let's play a game! Yeah!" Everyone quickly agreed, and Andrew seemed extremely displeased. I listened intently.
"Wait, y/n hold still!" The same man from the beginning... Where did I know that voice? Jackson.
"Why?" That sweet giggle I knew much too well. Then the sound of a squealing girl...
"OMG! MY BOSS IS TOTALLY GOING TO FREAK!" That was Haley, who worked for Janine... If her boss would be excited... That'd mean... Another stabbing pain, mainly just overlapping the existing pain.
"Okay, well, I should probably let you go... Bye." Andrew. I deserved this much. I deserved a lot worse than this... And you'd think a bunch of drunks could come up with a better insult... Whatever. I prepared myself for the worst, her never wanting to see me again, but hoped for the best, meaning she forgave me. Either way, I just wanted her to know...
