Wounds from catcus on Jestro's body had to be patched up, because they were bleeding. So Monstrox ordered to go to the village for help or something. Fortunately, there was a good soul who helped bandage the ruler of evil.

(Y/N), since she returned to the monster camp, just sat leaning with her back against a stone, near the camp, and thought. She angrily stared ahead and sometimes growled with rage.  Monsters moved out of her way, not wanting to be caught in the snare of her anger.

Ruina Stoneheart watched her from afar and couldn't help but feel joy at seeing the knight in such a state. Jestro and Monstrox had left to search for the Forbidden Power, so there was nothing to do anyway.

(Y/N) sat with a lost expression on her face and watched the wind carry away dust from ground and a few leaves. She heard slow footsteps close by, but she didn't even turn around to look who it was.

- Are you going to sit like this all the time and direct your anger at nothing? You're wasting energy. - Ruina remarked in a condescending tone, stopping close to the stone knight.

A frown deepened on the stone warrior's face and another low growl came from her throat. Ruina snorted. - I'll take that as a yes.

- What do you want from me? You were staring at me the whole time, too. - The Nightmare Knight replied gruffly to witch and rested her chin on her hand and her face softened. Ruina sighed and walked closer, before sitting close to the knight.

- Listen kid. I can feel through the force how your emotions control you. Anger, hatred, betrayal, confusion and.... sadness. Why do you care that your brother left you for whom? For Merlok's pathetic knights.... I'm not here to comfort you, but to tell you that this is not what monster do.

(Y/N) looked at her out of the corner of her eye and her lips twitched in a grim smirk. - And who are you? Monster's behavior teacher? Please, I won't listen to this. Go annoy someone else.

Ruina snorted lightly. - You're brave, that's a fact. But you let stupid emotions take control of your mind. Clay betrayed you, it happened. You can't turn back it, whoever lets you down once, always lets you down. You let this boy drag you down.... instead of just stop caring about him and move on to revenge.

- And what should I do? I won't kill my own brother if that's what you dare suggest. - (Y/N) growled. - Knights and Merlok yes, but this idiot....

- You can't do it. You hesitate whether to confront him and punish him or spare him and forget about him. You've been a monster for a while now, the mistake has been forgiven, but with Monstrox.... If someone let him down once, it's over for him. You have only one chance to win his trust, Clay lost it long ago.. But you still have a chance. - Spells?

Ruina sighed and looked ahead. - Monstrox when he was still in his human form, was in practice unstoppable. Powerful, strong, smart, fast, merciless and cold-hearted. - Hey, we are talking about Monstrox not this monster. - (Y/N) hissed. Ruina snorted and shook her head.

- Monstrox was responsible for the destruction of the Wizards' Council, he turned and quarreled all the great wizards and witches. Then he finished each of them off, he wanted to be the one and only, most powerful wizard of his kind. He wanted to know every spell ever written, he wanted to defeat death, to be immortal, to be the only unbeatable ruler.

- Something didn't work out for him.

- You're right, it didn't work out for him. Merlok stopped him with the help of his knights.

- Merlok had knights? 

- Yes. He had his own guard of knights, who defended him and helped him fight the monsters that Monstrox created.... Unfortunately, with poor results. All the knights were killed, even the best ones.

- A knight will never stand a chance against a wizard.

- Monstrox created the Forbidden Powers from the knowledge he gained at Merlok's side.... He knew what power this old man possessed and transformed and turned his good spells into a harming and wreak havoc.

- So that means... Forbidden Powers are Merlok's spells only.... transformed into bad ones?

- Monstrox... believe it or not but he wanted Merlok to join him.

(Y/N) looked at witch surprised. - Seriously? Monstrox, the ruler of evil, wanted Merlok on his side?

Ruina nodded. - Merlok was obviously afraid of the evil side and refused. Monstrox took it as a challenge to fight and as an opposition to his ideologies and vision of conquering the world, so they became mortal enemies.... The rest of the story you probably already know.

- Unfortunately I know... Merlok is a monster. - she spat with distaste.

Ruina laughed lightly. - Indeed he is.

- Can you belive that Clay and I were on his side? We trusted him, and he destroyed us.... He said he would give the knights more power to defeat Monstrox. But he needed someone to test if this spell works.... And he turned us into stone, and those knights just watched, they didn't help us. They left us, betrayed us and.... they took my brother now.

- Merlok is clever.... He pretends to be good, and he is not like that at all. He's a cowardly liar who did more damage instead of helping. - Ruina said. - Believe me. He has done more than you think.

- Like what?

Ruina giggled slyly. - You'll find out soon.... But I'll tell you one thing. You'll have even more reason to hate him. - with that, she got up from the ground and patted (Y/N) on the shoulder, before walking away, leaving the knight with her thoughts.

(Y/N) led the witch away with her eyes, before looking ahead in thought. - Merlok... What have you done?

Knights who, according to Aaron's plan, filmed a fake interview for TV about how Clay is still evil and has destroyed them and Fortrex. The fake interview was recorded sensationally and it looked as real as if it really happened. Jurgen von Stroheim, however, interrupted the show in an instant, yelled at the knights and left indignantly.

Clay tiredly walked over to one of the chairs and sat down on it.

- Okay. - He said with a smile. The knights quickly approached him and smiled at him.

- As a professional actor, I admit that it was an impressive performance. - Lance said.

- Yeah Clay, you looked very bad. - Axl said.

- Thanks. Aaron what's next in your big plan? - asked Clay.

- We count on this report will convince Jestro, that you're still evil. Then go to him and find out what he's up to.

Clay sighed. - I may be a loyal knight, but whether I can be a spy.... That's unknown. 

- Then we'll make you a spy, and I even know an amazing teacher. - said Macy.

The knights wanted to go with them but the spy stopped them. He said that only Clay could go with him. They all tried to object, but it fell on deaf ears and in the end only Clay go.

Clay received special training from a royal spy. He knew what to do and learned the basics of being a spy. However, Clay wasn't comfortable with the whole spy identity thing, and it was completely new to him. But it wasn't the only thing that stressed him out....

Clay and Jack Shields arrived near, where the monsters army had stopped at the ruins of Ghoulia Castle, where Monstrox had previously revived the monsters for the first time. Clay and Jack Shields watched the camp for a while.

- Okay, this is where your mission begins, Clay. This is where you work alone. - Shields said.

- Okay... But what happens if I get into trouble? - Clay asked the man next to him, but only silence answered him. In a second, the spy disappeared into air. - Wow... He's good.

The sun had already set behind the mountains. Clay looked at the monsters from a distance for a while longer, took a deep breath and moved towards them. Unfortunately, he didn't yet know what would meet him there.

Jestro also received false news that Clay had destroyed the knights and Fortrex and believed him, but Monstrox. He no longer trusted him, and neither did (Y/N).

- I wonder what might have happened to Clay after he destroyed Fortrex. - Jestro said to Monstrox.

- Maybe I can help? - called out a voice that frightened jester. Monstrox quickly glanced at the owner of the voice and furrowed.

- Clay you're back! I was surprised by what you did with Fortrex and the knights! - Jestro said with a smile.

- Yeah... I know, because I'm evil.

- Oh yeah? And how can we be sure we can trust him? - Monstrox asked rhetorically. As far as he is concerned, Monstrox has absolutely no reason to trust this knight.

- None. Because he is already a traitor. - said a voice, before Clay had time to answer. Everyone turned around and saw (Y/N), who was staring at her brother with a deadly gaze.

- My lord, it will not be a wise action to accept this deceiver into our ranks. In my opinion, we should get rid of him. - she continued speaking, with her hands behind her back, standing upright proudly.

Monstrox looked at Jestro. - Commander Moorington is right, Joke-boy. He's not to be trusted anymore, how can we know if it's not a trick?

Clay still looked at his sister worried. - Commander Moorington? - he whispered to himself bewildered.

Jestro snorted and put his hand on Clay's shoulder, knocking him out of eye contact with his sister. - Are you seriously not trusting him? He destroyed Fortrex! All by himself! He defeated the knights without any problem with a wicked smile, laughing he destroyed them without any problem!

- Still no reason to trust him, Jestro. - (Y/N) answered.

- She's still right, Jestro. - Monstrox backed her up. Monstrox moved over and stopped next to the Nightmare Knight. Jestro and Clay exchanged nervous glances and looked at the other commanders.

- Clay is a weak coward. He has already failed you twice, Jestro, we must get rid of him. Effective immediately, he is a wild card, we don't know what to expect from him. What if it's some kind of conspiracy? He'll get in the way of the plan again. - (Y/N) was spitting pure facts. Jestro got discouraged and had to think.

Monstrox looked at Clay with a dark smile, waiting to see what he would say. - Your sister has a head on her shoulders and knows what's good for her. She has character and is strong unlike you. So let me ask you again. How can we trust you?

Clay got a little nervous before answering. - Then maybe... Send me on some special infiltration that will convince you that I'm on your side?

Jestro and Monstrox exchanged glances and nods. (Y/N) looked at them in disbelief. - You can't be serious! He has already betrayed us twice, it must be a conspiracy! My lord, think it over, it's a trap!

Monstrox looked at her briefly. - Perhaps it is so. Well knight, I give you one last chance to prove me wrong. Joke-boy will come up with some task for you, as long as it's bad Jestro! - he looked at the jester.

(Y/N) jaw dropped and was about to object, but Monstrox preceded her. - The Nightmare Knight will supervise you, Clay. If you can do it, you'll be in the army, if not.... I'll kill you. Are you still signing up for this?

Clay felt him stiffen, however, he nodded. - Yes, of course, my master. I promise to prove my loyalty.

- I hope so. It would be a shame to kill you, such potential.

- I even already have a mission for you, Clay! Let's go to the castle! - Jestro called out with a wide smile. Monstrox and (Y/N) looked deadpan at him.

- What's supposedly bad with that? - Monstrox asked.

Jestro laughed madly. - You'll see.

(Y/N) furrowed her brows deeply and growled furiously at Clay, before walking angrily away to a certain witch. Ruina was sitting on a stone in the company of the harpies and Roberto Arnoldi when (Y/N) joined them.

- Oh what made you mad this time, shiny? - Ulrika asked.

- Guess who decided to come back to us. - (Y/N) growled and started walking angrily back and forth. - The Gray Knight came back to us! After he betrayed me, he decided to come back!

- Are you joking? - Hilda wheezed.

- For what? - Ingrid asked.

- According to the rumor, he destroyed Fortrex and the knights! Alone! I told Monstrox that it was a lie, but he decided to accept him anyway! Why!? After all, everyone knows that Clay can't be trusted! He's a traitor!

All those gathered watched her tirade with pity. Arnoldi poked Ruina with his elbow and pointed with his head at (Y/N) for witch to say something to her. Ruina rolled her eyes and grunted.

- I told you something (Y/N), you were not to worry about him anymore. Monstrox is responsible for who he accepts into the army, if that is his will, so be it.

(Y/N) growled even more and began stomping her stone feet even harder on the ground. Arnoldi looked at the stone witch with displeasure, to which she shrugged.

Roberto cleard his throat. - Anyway, Commander, has Boss Monstrox said what they will do about your brother?

(Y/N) snorted. - Yeah, Jestro wants to take him to the castle for some kind of test, however, I don't know what exactly.

Roberto wheezed and everyone looked at him with weird looks. - Then maybe I have an idea!

- What?

- I don't know if boss Monstrox knows this, but there is a special hidden chamber in the castle that only I know about.

Harpies, Ruin and (Y/N) exchanged glances and looked interested at the craftsman. - What chamber?

- The Chamber of Heroes! There are statues built there of all those who helped and was important to the history of the kingdom! Knights, wizards, officials, kings....

- Are there also... Nexo Knights? - Ruina asked.

- Si! I myself oversaw the process of carving their statues, there is even a Commander (Y/N) and Clay! The whole team, even those former knights!

A sinister smirk appeared on Ruina's lips and she looked at (T/N). - Are you thinking the same thing I'm thinking?

- What chamber? I know the castle like the back of my hand, the arrangement of the chambers and.... - Jestro started to speak, but Monstrox interrupted him.

- The chamber where there're carved statues of heroes from the realm, who were famous for their bravery and did something for Knighton.

- And there're sculptures of the Nexo Knights, the whole team. - (Y/N) ended. - Ruina Stoneheart and I came up with a idea, we just need your approval.

Monstrox looked at the soldier and slowly a smile appeared his face. - I think I even know what idea you have.... I give my permission! This will help my army destroy those Nexo-losers.

- Hey, what's going on!? I don't know what it's about! - Jestro complained. Monstrox groaned in exasperation and shot a lightning bolt at jester.

- Isn't it obvious Joke-boy? We will revive the stone statues of all the Nexo Knights! They will help us finally defeat those pathetic knights! It will be like they're fighting their reflection.... only better! This is something they won't expect! Arnoldi, do you know where this chamber is exactly?

Roberto nodded. - Si! I myself watched over the process of carving these magnificent works of art. Beautiful masterpieces. - He sighed dreamily.

- Excellent! Commander, go get your brother perhaps a traitor, we're moving now!

(Y/N) suppressed an annoyed growl and nodded. - Yes sir.... May it be worth it. - she muttered to herself, walking away from Monstrox to fetch her brother.

(Y/N) went to Clay, who was sitting nearby on a piece of rubble and playing with something in his hands. The Stone Knight growled in annoyance and she hit him on the back with her fist. Clay jumped up surprised and turned to face his sister with shock on his face. (Y/N) looked at him unmoved.

- Move on. Monstrox is calling you. - she said briefly and quickly started walking back to Monstrox. Clay shook off his shock and quickly followed his sister. They walked in silence, (Y/N) looked ahead and walked stately, while Clay awkwardly played with his hands, not knowing what to say.

- I don't care. - (Y/N) quickly said when Clay opened his mouth.

- (Y/N)...

- I don't want to hear it! - (Y/N) growled at him and her eyes shone brighter. Clay squirmed slightly and sighed quietly.

- I'm sorry...

- Shut up! I'm not interested in what you have to say. You're a common traitor who left me. Deceiver. - she spat furiously.

Clay looked at her sadly as the siblings made eye contact. (Y/N) looked at him deadly serious. Clay reached out for a second to place his hand on his sister's shoulder, but her furious gaze made him afraid.

- (Y/N), I know you hate me but....

- Hate is too light a word.

Clay sighed. - I know... I'm sorry that I didn't follow you then, didn't stop you and I didn't listen to you. But... Monstrox is not the best way for you, I know that, and I know you know that too.

(Y/N) looked at him unconvinced and only narrowed her gaze. - No. It was you, who let yourself be broken by those corrupt knights sent by that sick maniac Merlok! I warned you, tried to help you, but you threw it away! And now you have, what you have. You've become the only Moorington in the family because I.... I'm not anymore.

Clay looked at her in shock and the pain was evident in his eyes. - What... What are you saying?

- I'm telling you! Go back to the knights where you came from Clay! - (Y/N) barked at him and pushed him slightly. - It's impossible to return to the army after betrayal! You're too weak for a monster, you are easy to broken! You are not fit to be a soldier in the army of the forces of darkness! You are nothing but one of those knights! Everyone can see it as soon as they look at you! Moorington means pride, courage and sacrifice but also.... kindness and love.

Features of anger on her face diminished a little and she sighed quietly. - I don't belong to this family, not anymore.... You're left alone, because I feel can good from you and I think others feel it too. I'm evil, I am a monster.... I am a soldier who obeys orders. I am a Commander in the army of the forces of darkness. We... We are different. I am not like you, and you are not like me. That's why retreat while there's a chance, Clay. Because Monstrox... He will kill you. Ruina knows it, Arnoldi knows it, I know it, everyone knows it! His favor toward you is long over, here, you either obey or die.

Clay listened to her every word and sadness flooded his body and (Y/N) she felt it. The Nightmare Knight sighed and looked to the side. - Want to know what makes knights different from monsters?

Clay nodded lightly.

- Knights make their own decisions, their own choices and... they have to live with them too. Every knight has his own inner monster inside him, that he knows about. Your sister knew about it a long time ago and.... she let herself be defeated by it. Just as you let yourself be defeated. (Y/N) slowly started walking forward to leave him with his thoughts. - I am the Nightmare Knight. Commander in the ranks of the army of darkness. If I get an order from Monstrox to kill you too.... I will not hesitate and will have to kill you, so be aware that I will not take anyone at mercy. I am a monster has always been so, only that she was afraid to admit it and ran away from what was inevitable. Death will always win over life and there's nothing you can do about it.

(Y/N) finished her statement and moved ahead to the monsters. Clay led her away with a depressed look, his eyes stopped glowing with yellow light and looked down sadly. He sighed and slowly his vision flooded with tears. 

His sister is gone... And he didn't manage to save her. (Y/N) had to give everything she had when she felt her brother's pain through the bond. However, she kept a poker face and a proud attitude, she couldn't let her emotions win. It's time to finally stop worrying about him.
