A cat in need
Do remember those times I said that your all gonna destroy me every time I kill off someone?
Well this time I think I'll be the one who will destroy myself, because I regret doing this to one of my favourite hermits. T°T
Enjoy!
~~~Scar's POV~~~
Me and Jellie strolled around the wonderful lands of hermit land, gazing at the beautiful sights and structures, slowly appearing, either upgraded or finished.
The little feline followed behind me as she runs around the grass before coming back to me. My heart warmed up as I saw how happy Jellie was, playing around the grass. It's not everyday I take my cat around the server, I'm always busy with my projects and stuff that I rarely take her with me.
But now I have nothing to do but walk with my cat, and I'm ok with that. We both walked towards the exit, inspecting a new station near the entrance of hermit land. Alas I gave a cheeky smirk, knowing who's responsible for this.
"Sahara fuels huh? Trying something new Architects?" I chuckled, looking around this build. I wanted to test it out so I went to the ender chest to retrieve my diamonds.
But I was so distracted by station that I didn't realize that Jellie wasn't at my side anymore. "Jellie?" I called out, but there wasn't any sign of the little creature.
A hissing sound caught my attention, I looked between the trees to see Jellie hesitantly trying to fight of a creeper. "JELLIE!!" I yelled, running towards the two. But as I approached them, the creeper started to vibrate.
I didn't had time before I realized my mistake, the creeper already stop hissing, and gave a loud boom!
I coughed on my sleeve as the dust particles from the explosion floated around the scene. I didn't have time to check if Sahara Fuel is damaged, I needed to find my cat.
"Jellie?" I called again, blowing the particles with my hat. Alas I heard something, a small whimper, sounds like it was in pain. I looked next to the damaged tree, to find what horrifies my eyes.
Jellie....alive but..... All I was staring at was the small blood flowing to the ground.... "JELLIE!!"
~~~Cub's POV~~~
I roamed around the hermit lands. A few hermits were here, busy as bees. Others were just playing recently open games, aside from demise. I wanted to check if anyone but something in Concorp's food truck.
But at the same time, I wanted to check this new "Sahara Fuels" that a few hermits once talked about. I was as curious as a britsh kid with a temptation to press all buttons. Funny how that british person actually exist.
I was about let out a chuckle from that thought before I saw a figure walking towards me. His clothes were a bit dirty but he was trembling as he hugged the bottom part of his hat. "Scar?" I called out, walking towards the trembling hermit.
His eyes didn't lose focus from what's inside the hat, his expression was frightened yet horrific, like he saw death before his eyes. "Scar, you alright?" I asked, concern was all I felt right now. He still didn't respond to me, like he couldn't talk at all.
"Scar?" I called out again. He suddenly fell towards my arms, his body still trembling of fear. "C-Cub... He-lp" Scar muttered near my ear. But I still couldn't hear him. "Scar, what's wrong?" I slowly insisted him to stand up, putting both my hands on his trembling shoulders.
Scar was about to be on the verge of tears before he hesitantly pushed his hat near my chest. When I looked at the hat's contents my heart suddenly stopped. A little cat, letting out quiet cries. There was a bloody gash on her left little arm, blood slightly dripping inside the hat but that was the least of Scar's problems!
There was no need for Scar to explain what happened, I carefully dragged him near Grian's unfinished haunted house.
Scar sat down on the stairs, lifting the injured cat from the hat and putting her in his arms. Unfortunately I didn't have any bandages and the bleed started to pour faster.
Scar looked like he was ready to go on a mental break down so I had no choice but hastily grabbed my necktie and slowly wrapped it around poor Jellie. She winced a bit when I put a little pressure on her wound but I was able to stop the bleed.
"There we go" I calmly explained, sitting beside the anxious hermit. "Jellie may be in pain but mostly it's just her arm, she'll be alright Scar." But he didn't smile at all..... His positive self wasn't there, he still slightly trembled but not as much as he did.
When I looked down at the whimpering Jellie in his arms, I saw a small line of blood dripping near his lower end of his leg. I gave out a sigh before looking at Scar again. "Scar, you did not tell me that you were also injured." I calmly scolded him.
"It was a small wound..." He muttered. "Jellie was my top priority." He looked down at the injured cat again, sadness filling his eyes.
I didn't have anything to cover up his wound so I had to walk towards the Jousting game and took one of it's banners. Note to self, I'll apologize to Stress for taking her banners but it was for a good reason.
I walked back towards the Haunted Mansion and carefully wrapped Scar's wound with the purple banner. I went back to my seat and put my arm around his shoulders. Fortunately Scar accepted it and leaned beside me.
"Cub?" I looked back at him, I saw a tiny liquid form in his eyes. "Am I a bad pet owner?" He mumbled.
My eyes widened before giving Scar some sense to himself. "Now that question is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!" I exclaimed. But he just gave a sad smile.
"I mean , it's kinda my fault that Jellie is in this state. I was too distracted to notice the creeper, and I was stupid enough to forget that creepers explode when you approach them." He gave out a shaky laugh, but I just continued frowning at his stupid reason.
"Scar, creepers are just as unexpected as Doc!" Scar genuinely laughed from my statement before his tears suddenly started streaming on his face.
His laugh died when he suddenly started sobbing, hugging Jellie tighter but carefully. He let out a few hiccups, trying wipe the continuous tears but they just keep coming back. Even as he cries, his small smile still stayed there.
My heart broke when I saw him in this state, I pulled him and Jellie to a hug. "It's ok, just let them out. Cry away your regrets, it's not all your fault." I soothingly rubbed his back as he continued sobbing near my arms.
Scar put his sleeve near his face, trying to stop the tears from falling. Alas he gave up and just silently cry, Jellie still secured in his arms.
After for almost like 5 minutes, I suddenly heard quiet snores from the sleepy Convex. Jellie too was sleeping, resting her little head on his arm. I couldn't help but smile, my arm still wrapped around his shoulder.
It's been a long time since I hanged out with Scar for a while now, so it was quite nice to bring back the Convex duo..... Well, plus his cat. It was great nonetheless...
~~~Bonus Chapter~~~
~~~Xisuma's POV~~~
"Keralis, what's going on? I need help wi-" I suddenly paused when I saw what Keralis was smiling at. "Ooohhhhhh." I gave a quiet chuckle. "Aren't they cute together?" Keralis awed at the scene before him
Cub and Scar were fast asleep, with the cute little Jellie in between them. Jellie started purring infront of us, like she forgotten all about her wound and just seek for warmth between the Convex duo.
"Ohohohohoho~" Iskall gave a cheeky yet devilish smirk. "Now it's our turn Concorp" he took out his phone and took all the pictures in every angle.
"Revenge after the Grian incident!" Iskall quietly exclaimed before slowly walking between me and Keralis. "Sahara has a new product now, want some?" He asked, waving his phone in front of our faces.
"How much?" Keralis already had his diamonds in his hands. I let out a small sigh before getting my ender chest from my inventory.
~~~The End~~~
Jellie I am sorry. 😔😔
Also hooray it's been a while since I made a story about these two, but that was because I was new to hermitcraft during that time, so I didn't like the hermits at first.
May your night
Shine like the moonlight
Ladies and gents! ;)
