Writer's pov :

        Some days are passed like a roller coaster ride. Their friendship level reached even higher than before. Vaishu is in deep love with Aadhi. She refused to propose him since she has the biggest fear in her heart whether Aadhi will accept or not. They have three days holiday due to some programs happening in college. 

One fine day, in Vaishu's home she is doing something in her mobile still not waking up from bed a long time. Her mom entered her room and saw her smiling looking at the mobile screen, that makes her angry. She was noticing a different Vaishu for these past days. It's already been late for her office.

"What are you still doing looking at your mobile? Time is already 8 and I am going to break your mobile for using overtime. You can use it for knowledge purpose, not for entertaining. " her mom yelled at her while folding the quilt in her bed and she arranged it in her cupboard. 

" Why are you annoying me? Don't behave like a typical mother ma", Vaishu said frustrated and kept her mobile in a table and stood up from the bed. 

"You were the one competing with me from my womb still not accepting that you are arguing with me for everything. " her mom said looking straightly at her. 

" Then you should have killed me in your womb? Who asked you to raise me? "Vaishu said angrily matching her tone. 

" Who knows you will be like this? You were literally behaved like strangling my intestine. If I knew before about you, I wouldn't have faced all these troubles" her mom said little smiling through her lips. 

" Oh! What to do! It was like a melody to my damn ears and I don't want to argue about this silly matter. Just go to work, I will take care of everything here. " Vaishu said moving outside the room like she is not very much interested to talk. She sighed and left for her work. Vaishu spends her full day chatting with everyone in the group and spending time in some social media. Though Aadhi didn't reply to all the messages, she messaged him by thinking at least he will reply to this one. 

At Anjali's house :

             Aadhi spends his full day in the library by reading books not even cared to look at Anjali. He came silently and ate his lunch and went upstairs again without even looking into Anjali's room. Anjali felt so lonely spending in her room.

She tried to sleep but it didn't come. She is not very fond of social media, so she spends her time watching a movie. She literally had a tear in her eyes thinking about how lonely she is, even though she experienced it from her childhood. 

There is an award function this evening for the doctors. Anjali's mom and dad are nominated for their specialists in gynecology and neurology. Last year, her dad got the best neurologist award and every year, he will be the one to win that award. 

So, Anjali and Aadhi got ready for the function. Their parents told them that they will reach the venue by themselves. Anjali didn't want to go but she doesn't have any other options. So, she got ready in her perfect attire and went downstairs to see Aadhi already glaring at her. 

"What makes you this much late? " he asked looking awesome in his attire. 

" Just be happy that I came this much fast and don't yell at me for unnecessary things. They don't even wait for us, then why we have to go fast. " Anjali asked annoyed by his character. 

Aadhi raised his eyebrows," You are not a Prime Minister to wait for you till you reach there. I don't know why you are behaving like this. Anyone in your position will feel happy about their parents getting the award. " he said raising from his position and picked his bike keys. 

" It's anyone, not me. Why are you caring about me now? " Anjali said keeping a distance from him. 

"Who cared about you? I don't want to argue with you anymore. Come if you want to. "Aadhi said moving outside. Anjali followed him without saying anything but cursing him inside. 

She sat in the bike holding his shoulder. He started the engine and moved fastly like a rash driver. They reached the venue after passing through hell traffic since the function is taking place in the main city. They both entered inside while greeting everyone who asked about their studies and well-beings. So many media peoples taking video coverage in the entire hall. The hall was very big, it's tough to find their parents in a big crowd. 

Anjali nudged him and whispered to his ears, "We will move to the last row, I don't want to sit in the front. Please" she asked with her puppy eyes which made Aadhi sigh audibly. She doesn't want to sit in the first row making everyone's attention, especially her parents. They will introduce her to everyone which she doesn't like. 

"Wait a minute, I will inform mom and then we move to the last row. " Aadhi said taking his mobile from his pocket and dialed her number. 

She picked the call after four rings and said hello. 

" Hello mom, we reached here. Where are you? " he asked loudly since the song is already playing. 

" I am with your dad talking to his friend in the dining room. You two sit there, I will come," she said fastly like she has some work. 

" Mom, Anjali likes to sit in the back. What to do?" Aadhi said looking at Anjali who was looking at the surrounding innocently. 

"She will never change. What to do, we have to accept her otherwise she will create a scene over there. Just do as she say . Take care, will see you soon bye" she ended the call. 

They both walked towards the back, some known relatives stopped in their track and talked some time with them. After that, they successfully sat in the back row. Anjali immediately took her mobile showing no interest in the surroundings. Aadhi sighed and sat simply looking towards the stage. 

"Hi Anju, Hi Aadhi " someone greeted them sitting beside Anjali. They both looked at him and Aadhi greeted him back but Anjali forced a smile not expecting him. He is a family friend to both. His name is Ravi and he drools over Anjali which she doesn't like about him. Aadhi and Ravi are friends since Aadhi doesn't know about anything. 

"How are you da? Anjali, why are you not speaking anything? You didn't expect me here? " he asked facing both. Aadhi nodded his head saying he was fine. 

" Yes, why are you here? Don't you find any seat beside this row? " Anjali spatted back looking away from him. Aadhi nudged her and whispered to her ear to behave properly. Anjali ignored his words and looked to her mobile. 

" I just saw you both here so thought to talk to you since we met years ago," he said still seeing her annoying face. 

" You talked right? So you can leave now" she said without looking at him. 

"Anjali, what is wrong with you? Ravi, just don't mind her. "Aadhi said gritting his teeth. 

Ravi smiled and said," It's okay Aadhi. She is always like this, I don't mind it. Okay, you carry on guys, I will see you later. Bye" and stood from his place and went. 

" You don't even know how to behave right? You hurt him" Aadhi said glaring at her. 

"You don't know anything about him Aadhi. So just stop advising me, I know how to take care of my things. " Anjali said frustrated. Aadhi sighed and he continued his work without looking at her. 

Soon, the function started and the first half was a little bore. Anjali didn't even lift her head to see the stage, that's why she asked for the last row. 

Finally, they announced her father's award. Anjali lifted her head and smiled seeing her father at stage getting an award. Everyone clapped their hands to congratulate him. Aadhi felt happy, after that they invited his mother to the stage for the best gynecologist award of the year which was presented by his father.

Anjali didn't like her mom getting an award and that too from her dad. She will always praise her dad rather than her mom. She doesn't know anything about her mom since her mom didn't share anything with her. She knows her mom is a gynecologist, nothing more than that. She thought that her mom got an award because of her dad's popularity. 

Anu felt happy getting an award from her husband is still a big dream for her. Finally, she achieved it which makes Aadhi happy. But Anjali didn't react anything for her mother's award which made Aadhi angry. He doesn't want to argue with her now and spoil his own mood so he celebrated by clapping loudly. Soon, the program ended with a great dance which Anjali liked it at least.

They both stood up and moved to the dining area. Anjali doesn't want to talk to anyone so simply looked at her mobile following Aadhi. Suddenly she bumped slightly into someone which makes slip her mobile from her hand.  She picked her mobile from the floor while she heard Hi from that person. 

She stood and looked at the person totally shocked. Varun is also standing with the same look. 

"How come you are here? " Varun asked confused. 

" That's my question actually. I came here because my parents got an award." She said smiling. Aadhi turned to see Anjali but she is not there, he sighed and went back to find her. 

" Oh! I too came here because my dad is a doctor. Who are your parents?" he asked surprisingly. Soon, Aadhi spotted and reached her by standing beside her. After seeing Varun, he was confused and smiled at him. 

" You are also here? You both are friends, right? " Varun asked totally confused with their presence. Anjali looked at Aadhi whether to tell him or not. 

" No bro, she is my twin sister and don't tell anyone in the college. We didn't disclose this to anyone. " Aadhi said smiling at him. 

" Why? You don't want to say she is your twin? May I know the reason? " Varun asked looking straight at Aadhi. 

" It's not a big thing bro. It will take time to explain, I will tell you tomorrow in the call. "Aadhi said simply. 

Before Varun say anything, they heard a," Hi Varun" from a familiar voice behind. They all looked at the person to see Anu came towards them. She hugged him which made Aadhi and Anjali confused. 

"How are you Varun? I am really sorry for not contacting you. It's been many years since I saw you. Actually, I lost your number da and I don't want to ask your dad. So I didn't try after that. " she said still holding his hand into her hand. 

Varun smiled and replied," It's okay Anu ma. No problem and congrats for the award. You rocked it and I am really proud of you and uncle. " Varun said excitedly like he is seeing an unexpected person. That's when she watched Aadhi and Anjali looking at them confused. 

" Thank you, Varun. Okay, meet my children. She is my naughty girl Anjali, my daughter and he is Aadhi, my son. They both are twins and He is Varun, your father's friend son, and my close friend's son. Varun, where you are studying? " she asked looking at all the surprised faces. 

"Oh, you don't know. You could have asked your daughter and son. They know me very well. " Varun said smile never leaving his lips. 

Anu stared and said," Oh god! I didn't know you are studying in the same college. I am really sorry Kanna, I would have traced you after your high schooling. I was bit lost after your mother's condition and you still look the same Varun when I saw you four years back." 

" What condition? " Aadhi asked confused which made Anu go silent. 

" It's nothing big. She passed away when I was ten years old. " Varun said smiling and Anjali looked at him concerned. 

" I am really sorry bro," Aadhi said but Varun shook his head showing he is not worried about that anymore. 

" Okay. I will contact you Varun and I want you to come home one day. Take care da. Bye " she said patting his shoulder lightly and he smiled nodding his head. Both Anjali and Aadhi bid him bye and went to the dining area. 

Finally, they reached home and sat in a hall. 

" I am very happy for you both. I just want a treat from you. " Aadhi said looking at both. Anjali just looked at him annoyed. 

They both smiled," Definitely.. we will go outside for dinner tomorrow. " Anu said while sitting beside Krishna. 

" I will not come. You go" Anjali said immediately getting a glare from him. Anjali doesn't want to see those dramas. She always felt like a third wheel in the family so she thought of staying at the home. 

"Why princess? " her dad asked looking at her concerned. 

" I am not happy so I am not celebrating it. Just leave me from this, you all go. "Anjali said like she is not at all interested in this. 

" Why you are not happy? " he asked confused. 

" I just expected you to get an award and who asked you to give her an award. She doesn't deserve it and she got it because of your name in the society." Anjali talked bullshit and that makes Anu sad. She didn't say anything, just stood up and went to her room silently which made Krishna angry. 

" Don't talk anything stupid Anjali. Why are you doing like this? " he yelled standing towards her. 

She simply said," I don't like her. I want only you. " which made him more angrier. 

He grabbed her shoulder and made her stand towards him.

"Just know one thing Anjali. Don't think that I love you more than my wife. She is important to me than you and I am not saying you are not important. What is with your words now? Where are your manners? You have that much guts to hurt your own mother? I am literally being so nice to you for these past years, that's why you are behaving like this. Don't expect that nice thing from me hereafter. " her dad almost shouted from his lung making her eyes drop more tears. He left her and went to console his wife. 

Aadhi just watched everything silently, he wants to console Anjali but he doesn't want to do anything to spoil her. If he console her, then she will take that as she was not wrong. Her eyes are continuously watering like a water pipe. 

She went immediately upstairs and locked her room from inside. She cried jumping into her bed. She felt lonely and slept crying continuously.
