~AliceThe dance was the most boring thing I have ever been to. I mainly talked to Demetri and that was the only good thing.
Vanessa spent hours obsessing over what I was going to wear. I told her whatever she wanted as long as it wasn't any shade of pink or purple. She ended up picking a turquoise dress which I was fine with.
My Dad was being obsessive too. He wanted as many pictures of me and Demetri as he could take.
Vanessa and Clay went with us too. (They're a "thing" now). The entire car ride they sat there staring into each other's eyes. It was disgusting. I looked Demetri straight in the eye and said,
"If we ever do that please smack me upside the head."
"Will do." He said

The dance was in the gym, with nothing but strobe lights on. We found Peter with no one other than, Jenna Bea.
Demetri started laughing his head off, and I couldn't resist laughing too.
"I bet he bribed her with money." Demetri whispered in my ear.
I nodded and started laughing.
There was nothing else to do there except for dance and eat. So we left early.

~*~*~*March 14th~*~*~*
I hid my face as I walked to my locker. I might've been too late, people could've already known.
Today is my 15th birthday.
There were mini balloons taped to my locker door. I quickly took them off and shoved them in my locker. I got my stuff and walked to math.
Someone grabbed my hand as I was walking to the classroom. I thought it was Demetri until I looked up and saw Peter. I tried to pull my hand away but he held on.
"I just wanted to say happy birthday." He whispered
"Why didn't you just say that?" I said, yanking my hand back.
"Because I thought you wouldn't listen to me unless you thought I was Demetri."
"Why would you think that? You're my best friend."
"I don't know. Anyways I gotta get to class so... see ya!"
I sat down at my spot and started reading my book, The Missing Child.
I was in the part where Riley, the main character, was talking to her two best friends Raven and Charlotte.
Hmm... Charlotte, I like that name.
Demetri sat down in his spot next to me. (Yep new spots again)
"Why were you holding hands with Peter?" He asked
"You saw that! Sorry he thought the only way I would talk to him is if I thought he was you." I said apologetically.
"Hey don't sweat it." He put one arm around my shoulders. "As long as you have a valid excuse."
"Okay."
Class started. Hey took out a piece of paper and wrote.

Hey, wanna come over after school? I want you to meet my family.

First of all, really? A winky face? Second of all, why would I go to your house? I wrote. Then I added, That would make everything a little weird don't ya think?

Please. He wrote.

Fine, but this is going against my will.

He smirked and put the paper away.
"I'll pick you up at 5." He whispered.
55 minutes later the bell rang.
"Happy birthday by the way." He added.
"How did you know that? Please tell me that they didn't announce it in the announcements."
"Nope, it was Vanessa."
I slowly turned around to see her walking away.
"Don't hurt her." Demetri said, joking around as he walked out.
She started to run for the door.
"Get. Back. Here. Now." I demanded.
She turned around and started to shuffle over.
"How'd you know." I asked.
"Social media." She replied. "Since we're friends on there it alerted me."
"You put the balloons on my locker didn't you?"
"Just trying to be nice."
I took a deep breath.
"Are you mad?" She asked.
"No." I replied. "I'm glad that I've got a friend who cares so much."
She breathed a sigh of relief.
"Now," I said. "don't we have a class to go to?"
"Of course." She said in a prissy voice.
And she walked to class as I limped beside her.
