Chapter 1

Alicia didn't have her morning cup of coffee. It didn't help that she overslept from having a entire day to herself at fun city. It didn't help either that she  had to be on time to pick up bus kids on her route. It didn't help that she had to breeze through her morning routine in a rush. What really didn't help was spending more than two hours at fun city  for the sake of having a exciting time. It wasn't exciting but it was certainly relaxing drifting in the lay river and getting the occasional jet of water from the rafters above. The first child she had to pick up was outside of the city of Venzullie. She had mistakenly taken a bottle of water at the nearby Mobile rather than coffee on her way out. She lowered the bottle with a grimace and placed it down into the cup of holder to her left.

Just another day that was disrupted. She shook her head making her way through the familiar scenery under the cover of  night. She can see the shapes of deer in the shaved fields raising their heads at the passing yellow and black bus that had lights making the interior glowing. She hummed to herself passing through the country scenery. She came to a stop in front of the old farm house that had a few farm animals lingering around the scenery. A short figure bolted out the door with a large jacket tailing behind him. She slid the door open to the bus and waited a few seconds for the young boy. The young boy came to a stop in front of the doors gaining a grip on the side bars and panted.

"Henry, did you paint your face white?" Alicia asked, earning a excited rapid nod.

"Yes, Miss Gold," Henry said. "It's the Halloween contest today," he came up the the stairs. "I am dressed up as Mister Laufeyson."

Henry straightened his makeshift golden helmet.

"That helmet is the same one you used two years ago," Alicia said. "Did you tell mom?"

"Mom went to work," Henry said, matter-of-factly. "It's days like these that make me wish dad didn't walk out when I was born."

"She is doing all she can to give you those clothes," Alicia said, closing the door. "I  can't fault her for that."

Alicia drove on into the night.

Henry observed the darkness being lifted up by the familiar tinge of light over the horizon. His cardboard painted yellow helmet trembled  from side to side as the bus went over some bumps in the road. Henry looked out of the window situated to his side with the side of his face propped up against it.  He had his backpack situated in his lap then unzipped it to reveal his homework stacked neatly in a line with books. He searched through the backpack for something feeling around the paper, binder, and books.   His glued on horns turned upside down dangling in his face.

A soft, "Oh no," came from the boy followed by a irritated, "Not today, Hela!"

Henry took out a roll of tape from the left side pocket on his backpack.

Alicia drove  on to the interstate tapping her fingers onto the wheel humming along to the radio. Her fingers danced on the surface bobbing from side to side. It was all perfect, just the way she liked it,  a bit running late for the matter. She wasn't paying much attention to to her surroundings but only focused on  the fact that she was five minutes late. There was  a loud noise from behind her that sent the bus flying sideways. She looked over her shoulder to see that one half of the bus had been torn away and wind was gusting in to the bus over Henry's screams.  Alicia screamed, loudly, then turned her attention onto the wheel struggling to regain control over the front half. The bus struck three cars spinning in circles. Henry was clenching on to his backpack with his eyes closed  and head lowered, the bus was twirling, Alicia closed her eyes embracing for the fatal crashing.

Instead, the bus flew through a flaming circular sphere. The wheels were moving in mid-air as though someone had decided to keep rolling them in motion as though continuing to play with them. Alicia clenched onto the drivers wheel screaming as the bus continued flying toward what seemed to be  a unique tower that read 'STARK'. Alicia opened her eyes. Which is how she saw a wide eyed man with curly hair staring at her direction wearing a surprised expression and another man running out of the way  jumping over the bar counter. The bus crashed through the window crashing against the dark figure sending him falling underneath. The bus came to a stop with a screech against the floor.  Alicia unbuckled her seat belt.

"Are you okay?"

Henry opened his eyes.

"I am alive, I AM ALIVE,  I am alive!"

Alicia sighed, relieved.

"Good," Alicia opened the door then came out and walked over to the side. "OHMYGOD, I RAN OVER A MAN," her eyes went toward the bus. "Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod, how am I going to pay for this?" she dug through her curly hair, heavily panicked,  with her eyes on the damages. "I am going to be  fired."

In the next second, she saw the bus be lifted up and be thrown out by a figure.  She wasn't thinking when she screamed out of horror then jumped out the window after the bus swearing at herself. She grabbed onto the side seat then made her descent down in the direction of the screaming boy at her own pace. The bus slowly moved to the side as she picked him up into her arms. She ran then jumped out of the bus crashing through yet another window.  Alicia tumbled landing on to her side, panting, tightly holding onto the boy.  The bus crashed into the pavement from the bottom of the tower. She let go of the boy turning over on to her side taking breaths in and out. Henry looked out the broken window.

"Oh my god," Henry said. "Oh my god. Oh my god."

"What's wrong?"  Alicia asked.

"We're in Marvel," Henry said, heartbroken.  He turned in the direction of the older woman. "I . .. I. . . I think.. . . I think Doctor Strange transported us here. He is the only one in canon capable of doing this kind of  transport between universes. But why transport us so far back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe?"

"Benedict cucumber?" Alicia asked.

"Cumberbatch," Henry said.  "Miss Gold."

Alicia stood up to her feet then joined him by the window.

"Yes," Alicia said, looking out  to see the city was in ruins in a way taken back. "Benedict Cucumberbutch."
