This rant has been a long time coming, honestly.

If you're going to run a graphic group with prizes then you damn well better be able to HAND OUT THE GODDAMN PRIZES. 

So, the first contest I won in this group, I PMed them what I wanted for the prize--which was, you know, like comments on a story and stories added to a reading list. And then they went on hiatus or something? Two or three months later they come back and start doing more contests, so I PMed them again, letting them know I'd never received my prize, and I was told that "it will be done very soon."

Well, it didn't happen and another couple of months passed, so I PMed them again, being ridiculously polite and saying that I didn't mind waiting as long as I was kept in the loop on what was going on. So I get a message back saying that someone had deleted the conversation. :/

I had to tell them what I wanted for the prize again, they added the stories to the reading list, and then another couple of months passed without them ever commenting on my story.

So I PM them for the third time, just straight up asking if I was ever going to get the rest of the prize. They message me back saying that they had FORGOTTEN and wanted me to remind them again what the prize was.

So I tell them and FINALLY, I get the damn comments.

And apparently, I'm stupid because I kept joining their contests. So I win another contest and PM them what I want for the prize. I wait two months without ever receiving any of it so I PM them a reminder. No longer trying to be polite by this point because I mean, come on. Out of the two contests I'd won, I'd had to remind them FOUR times that I hadn't received my prize. I had no room left in me for politeness.

I was told that they had been on hiatus but that they would complete the prize by the weekend.

It's been SIX MONTHS since I was told this.

I could remind them again. But what's the point? Most likely, I wouldn't get the prize anyway, so why go through the hassle? And if I hear one more "we were on hiatus," "oops, we forgot," or other such stupid excuse, I will smash my head into a wall.

Honestly, with the amount of times they "forgot" my prize and I had to remind them about it, they should have made that a higher priority instead of making new contests with MORE prizes that they had to hand out. If you haven't given out all the prizes for the previous contest, why the hell would you continue to add onto your workload? 

And this also makes me wonder whether or not I was the only one that dealt with this bullshit? Did they manage to do everyone's prizes except mine? Or were they not doing ANYONE'S prizes without a load of nagging from the winners?

Well, suffice it to say, I will NOT be joining any more of their contests. They are not worth it. I will stick to entering contests hosted by people who actually know how to follow through with their prizes, thank you very much.
