FOOD
Here's to my deep-fry supplier!
food
ˈfüd
Material consisting essentially of protein, carbohydrate, and fat used in the body of an organism to sustain growth, repair, and vital processes and to furnish energy
...says Merriam Webster.
Basically, it's what you eat to survive.
What exactly does food do?
The actual answer will include a lot of scientific shit, which I'm not going to delve into, for your sakes.
So, to be more clear, it gives you energy to do whatever work it is that you do when you work. Plain and simple.
But, the big-deal aspect about food is how it is being wasted sometimes (or all the time in some cases).
Wasting food, according to me, is one of the most sinful things-not in the whole religious way, 'cause honestly I'm not big on religion, God, spiritual stuffs and all-but in a more my-conscience-knows-it's-bad kind of way.
While so many people in this world are suffering from famines and droughts and hunger, we imprint our asses on our worn couches while eating and wasting our foods (sometimes or all the time).
Now, there are some dumbasses who act all smarty-pants and ask 'how does it help those hungry people if we eat our food without wasting?'
Well, news flash, we aren't directly helping them by not wasting our food, yes. But when you waste food, you waste all the resources that were used in the process of producing the ingredients; those resources which could've been shared with the hungry people in the world.
Also, think of how your parents must've worked hard to get that food for you and you go and waste it all like you own the world.
How would you feel if you give someone something for them to use but then you see them throw it into the dumpster?
Not so pleasant eh?
So, your parents work day and night, just for their work to go into the dumpster for nothing good instead of a proper purpose.
Some shitters think that it's cool, you can't eat food and then you go all 'Hey Imma just throw this food away and show how cool and nonchalant I am'...
No, that isn't how the appropriate cool-and-nonchalant shit works. Wasting food just shows how irresponsible and neglecting you are and believe me when I say it's one fucked-up character trait.
So don't waste food. If the food that you had wasted-even that tiny amount-was given to someone who's suffering from hunger, they'd take it happily without complaining about the wrong condiment choice that we all do whenever McD or any other food delivering place gets our order messed up.
Now, if you know you won't eat so much of food, decrease the preparation amount accordingly or at least donate the food that you don't eat. At least that way, your conscience might feel that you've done something right.
You see someone wasting food, punish them. And the best way to do that is to make a speech about this whole shit that I've written here-in reported speech, obviously, 'cause this is my creation and all that crap-because, I know. I know how torturous it is to read my rants because I myself haven't given this a second read for the sake of further editing.
...Okay, that was a lie. There's no further editing required at all because, I thank and love Microsoft Word.
Now, back to the track, a tiny, simple example of wasting a single rice grain.
This single rice grain comes from a rice plant from which several other rice grains come too.
I can read your minds; y'all could be thinking 'thanks for that captain obvious' with an internal snicker.
But now starts the ride.
To grow these plants, soil is required, so are Diatomic Oxygen, Carbonic Dioxide sunlight (or artificial light in some cases), water, pesticides, fertilizers, manures, et cetera, et cetera.
No, I don't do agricultural science, so hit Google up if you're interested in this.
So, you waste this single grain, you waste the soil fertility-which can't be replenished that easily-and the water used during the growth period of this rice plant, the pesticides, the fertilizers and the manures-and the chemicals used to produce them and the sources of those chemicals or those natural sources of manures.
Not to forget the Diatomic Oxygen (the O2 allotrope ['2' as subscript, apparently wattpad hates me, yay!]) and Carbonic Dioxide (CO2 ['2' as subscript, apparently wattpad hates me, again. yippee-ki-yay!])-which could've at least served purposeful for us or any other organism for that matter-and all the sunlight absorbed by the pant that you'd be wasting.
Also, all the electricity used up to process these grains and all the work put in by the farmers during the whole process of harvesting.
If you dig even deeper, you'll be going one-way because so many resources are being exploited and each resource has another resource as its source so...
That was a lot of 'source' in a sentence but, oh well!
The point is to make you understand the consequences of wasting food.
With that being said, don't eat spoilt food or dump yourself with hell lotta food and say 'this person told me not to waste food'. Don't waste edible food and prepare adequately required amount of food is what I'm saying, because health is important too.
P.S. I'm not responsible if you do that jackass-y thing mentioned above as I've clearly told that health is important.
P.P.S. Don't invite me to your funeral.
...Just kidding. But seriously, take care of your health too, especially during this pandemic.
Wrapping it up, don't waste food, stay healthy, take care, stay safe.
Until then,
Stay jacked.
